Handicappers Corner
The races sure seemed to make more sense to me from the 5th race on. You might want to take it easy early.
recommended exacta box in race 5Â Â 1, 2, 5, 9Â Â Â Â Â Â 12 bets
recommended 9th race double part wheel 5, 6, 7 with 9, 11, 13   9 bets
race 1Â Â Â average clarity
2 Kalookan Commando  good close up position in an affair lacking pace...has shown life in all 5 lifetime starts
7 Working Capital  takes the logical drop out of MSW to a level that should make him a contender....bad trip in last hides him somewhat
8 Quillotano  get a great rider closing rider to match his running style..will need more pace than anticipated to put in his best
1 Swiss Emperor  works seem a little better than we have seen to date so maybe more animal today
race 2Â Â Â average clarity
1 Twoformeoneforyou  should be able to sit close to a suspect leader and challenge by the 2nd turn
4 Sports Edition  deep closer keeps catching paceless affairs and may be involved in another...if not her chances are enhanced
7 Sally Says So  the effort 3 back fits fine in this spot...rider switch to Espinoza who has been getting the "live" runners in the Lewis barn of late
race 3Â Â Â below average clarity
4 Dan The Captain  tepid top choice in a wide open looking race.....prolonged tightly spaced work series appears to have wound up like a top for his MSW debut...last 4 works...24 furlongs in 19 days
6 Valkyrie Missile  nice move forward in last with the blinkers removed and a strong 5F reassuring drill since
3 Groshawk  1st time in the red hot Baffert barn and is training as if he is a runner with the blinkers off for his 2nd lifetime start
race 4   slightly below average clarity
2 I'mneverwrong  has been unlucky in her career so far running into trip trouble that wasn't her or her jocks fault a couple of times....should have a decent shot at the top prize with a clean closing trip
6 Elegant  all 3 lifetime efforts on the synthetic and the hill are par like efforts fig wise for what it takes to break your maiden...might win duplicating those efforts and would be very tough with any move forward
3 Holy Flapper  41 to 1 in debut on the main track and the fact that mom has thrown 5 grass winners says her MSW debut was the tune-up for full throttle go today
1 Kaysa Deeya   difficult post on the hill for a 1ster but Sadler has a solid record with 1st timers on the grass
race 5Â Â Â slightly above average clarity
9 Massone  has been running well versus much better and is consistent.... should be very tough with a reasonable trip
1 One Track Mind  good chance to get what he thrives upon which is a loose and lonely lead with a good route speed rider aboard
5 Joshua's Dream  another consistent sort who should appreciate the extra 1/16 furlong and may find himself in a nice chase position
2 Tap It Light  impressive win off of the 1 1/3 year layoff....and maybe even more impressively hasn't missed a beat since in his morning work
race 6Â Â above average clarity
3 Run Over You  beaten less than 3 lengths in his last 7 sprint races.....just claimed.....mid pace runner gets plenty of front runners to close into
1 My Man Sumo  Mullins won a couple yesterday and both were with significant drop downs....same scenario here and this horse that will be far back early and seemingly gets a race with predictably strong pace up front
8 White Lace Jimmy  long layoff but consistently fires in sprint affairs and has a closer profile that  fits the race scenario
10 A Royal Tizzy  hoping Joe T takes back and gets over and if this occurs I think he gives this one his best shot at competing in this spot
race 7Â Â Â above average clarity
8  Zenyatta   what's really scary about this fabulous undefeated mare is that she seems to like that Pro-ride surface at SA the best of all
5 Striking Dancer  kind of doubt you will see this filly on the grass much anymore because she sure has shown a liking to the synthetic surfaces running long....will need a total clunker from ZENMASTER to win
7 Gripsholm Castle  impressive 1st ever run in the good old U S of A and 1st ever on the AW....my guess is we will see even more today
9 Floating Heart  gets in light because I believe Talamo can make the 111 lb.  assigned weight when many of the riders in here can't....should really help her finish in the stretch
race 8Â Â Â average clarity
1A  Warrens Attack Cat  very impressive late run into little pace versus seasoned veteran grass horses in last.....barn has been hot with quite a few upsets this meet....no. 1 is an OK toss in to boot
6 Top Feeling  good meet for a small barn and they do a nice job with their alw stock...1st or 2nd in last 4 starts
5 Renegade Storm  strong late runner sure finished fast in her last...like our top choice she will need to avoid getting blocked with a full field of 12 to get past
2 Thorondor  1 year and 1 week since her last race but training well enough to be considered ready and the fact that Leparoux accepts the mount seems to hint she is as well
race 9Â Â above average clarity
6 Dave In Dixie  very impressive run in last considering in was off a 4 1/2 month layoff...strong works since...high likelihood moves forward
7 Caracortado  Paul Atkinson dream horse can get another good stalking trip and has a decent shot at remaining undefeated
5 Sidney's Candy  powerful looking horse should be on or near the lead from the get and a big threat if he handles his 1st route run
race 10Â Â Â average clarity
9 Tribal Witch  exits a fast heat with a bad trip that hides his awakening in last
13 Good Night Gyrene  really seems to be rounding into top form...very strong works for a guy like Vienna
7 Joint Agreement  way overdo drop to a level she might not hang in the stretch
2 Hit The Brix  all 3 lifetime runs fit fine for today's level
11 Racing Rachel  nice winning return to the races after the 10 month layoff....very dangerous with a decent move forward and an OK trip
