Handicappers Corner

Decent looking card today

Recommend the 1st race pick 4 (basically being alive to one nice filly in the 4th)  1,2,4,5 with 1,3,4 with 1,3,5 with 7       36 bets

Also recommend this pick 3 part wheel starting in race 1 (trying to beat the favorite in the 3rd leg)   1,5 with 1,3,4 with 3,5    12 bets

race 1   slightly below average clarity

1  No Dream   gelding is at his best fresh and the works say ready....has the 1 post and speed which can come in handy in this affair lacking speed

5  El Martillo   only win in 14 starts came hill course sprint to a route of a mile....same scenario today...can get good early position

race 2    average clarity

3  Naughty Mariana   back in 8 days off a strong run on the sod....back to the AW and Bejarano sticks with this filly

1  Costanta   last race in Feb this filly a bad trip and was claimed that day.....fig sure fits and the new barn has her rested and sharp for her return to the race wars

4  Euro Gal   OK I cheated....(usually we only give 2 horses in a field of five)....solid speed in this spot and like the top two picks she is coming off effort which is better than par for the today's class

race 3    slightly above average clarity

3  Warren's Tommy Too   on the right end of the learning curve.....seemingly best work to date in prep. for 1st route run...barn has had a good SA meeting

1  Holladay Road   nice animal dropped to the bottom and fired a nice race....big shot at the win if this gelding can duplicate the effort

5  Warren's Juan  in fairly decent form....needs to stop flattening out in late stretch....new rider Rosario might want to take back some early to help keep something in the tank for when it counts

race 4    slightly above average clarity

7  Gotta Have Her   2nd in the BC Cup Turf Sprint to our top pick and training as if 100% ready to roll fresh...only loss on the hill in 5 starts was in the BC

3  Unzip Me   impressive eye to eye duel in solid pace in her last...repeat effort with a little slow pace gives her a shot

6  Czechers   very sharp "now" horse will need her very best effort

5  Nadeshiko   needed last and has 2 solid 6F drills since...Sadler is red hot in Stakes races lately

race 5    average clarity

2  Make It Mine   good maiden debut effort....Jones is usually much better in their 2nd lifetime start especially with maiden claimers

6  Back Nine Doc   long layoff for MSW drop down but last August she fired a strong effort fresh off of the bench and it was at today's distance

1  Cremedelagold   not the best of trips in her maiden debut last...showed good speed after a slightly slow break..clean break and she might wire today

race 6   slightly above average clarity

5  Tashzara    very solid 1st in the U S of A....most of these kind move forward for the Gallagher barn in their 2nd start

7  S C Song Girl  sharp move forward 2nd lifetime out on the AW and bred just fine to dig up the sod...barn has had a big SA meet

4  Triple Cream   good effort in her return to the race wars on the synthetic.....bred to handle the lawn...should be fit and ready today

race 7    average clarity

7  Scottish Diamond   claimed back by Mullins seems like a big plus....tremendous record for M Baze on this animal

1  James Prior   really on the improve....can get enough pace to be closing very fast late

2  Sidepocket Lou   horse is on a prolonged roll...app when get his 2nd win

3  Orientation Hall   somewhat short on numbers for this field but sure has been a smooth runner for M Garcia in the saddle

race 8    average clarity

6  Lucky Primo   very strong 1st on the grass after a 1 1/2 year hiatus from the track...a ton if moves forward and gets the trip

1  Kalookan Storm   2 for 2 at SA on firm turf.....4 for 6 win at the distance on firm turf...tough rider/trainer team....scored for us at 11 to 1 on Friday

2  Top Feeling   2 for 2 at the distance and won both of those races by 4 lengths....facing tougher but it's always hard to ignore daylight wins on the grass

3  Brushburn   sharp right now...has been ignored at the windows including his last winning as our 2nd choice at 12 to 1

race 9    average clarity

3  Warren's Royal Lady

7  Great Bernardine

2  Jana Gail

1  Rahy's Ruler

4  Drizella
