Hope you noticed that selections for Arlington Park with comments for our top pick only are available free today for members. I have to do a show at AP today. But someday (especially if racing in California continues to cut back in races) we may offer more than California especially on the weekends. By the way it is very hot and humid at AP today so don't get carried away with dumping washy horses.....They never seem to run in California's dry heat but it's a different story in Chi Town on hot and humid days.

1  First Queen   seems like a well hidden animal....last 2 sprints on the AW a decent (bad trip) efforts......we get a positive rider switch to Pedroza...trainer has been hot

5  Pokomoke   last 3 sprints...2 of which were at today's distance....fit well at this level.....route to 7F is usually a good thing

6  Miss Anime   consistent sort takes a logical drop...4 for 4 on the board in 2010

 

race 2    average clarity

4  Queen Of Tahoe   MSW debut race 2 back makes him the one to beat in this field....only paid 5K for this filly so dropping into claiming is a no brainer...Bonde barn has had a decent Hollywood meeting so far

1  Michailasheartlite   earned a solid fig for this level with a bad trip.....positive trainer switch and rider switch...somewhat concerned about the lack of listed morning work

6  Lucky Sis  on the right end of the learning curve....another horse coming off of a bad trip...barn is hot

3  Leslie Rules   decent move forward in her 2nd race around a turn and will need to improve once again to compete for the top prize

2  Hewitts   gelding seems to be on the rebound and seemingly ready to duplicate his 2008 form on the turf which is quite solid

3  Best Mom   best speed in this spot may get loose with a difficult jock to catch in T C Baze

1  Get Funky   bumped hard at the start in latest and lost all chance at the win.....clean trip today should put him in contention

 

race 4    slightly below average clarity

7  Super Harmony   gelding has had a terrific2010 and Morey has won 6 of his 11 starts at Hol....he is winning at a 30% clip overall with 230 starters

6  Premiere Flyer   most of this horse's career fits fine at today's bottom level....drop seems logical because the Kasparoff barn could really use a win

2  Day With Desi   race 2 back is solid pace wise and final time....turf tightener in last and back in 6 days...wire to wire shot

 

race 5    average clarity

4  Dontmesroundwitjim   last was his best ever and it is somewhat hidden...good work since and the right to move forward 2nd out after a layoff

1  Minister D'oro   improving with every start...finally draws an inside post....should be flying late

3  Besame Suances   last looks like an AWsprint tune-up to be full throttle for today 1st time long...1st time turf.....Vienna has a stellar history with such a maneuver

10  Syncobeat   competitive sort will most likely once again try to clear from the outside and be the one to catch

 

race 6    slightly below average clarity

4  Hugs To All   full brother to a major stakes winner flashed some ability including some early speed in MSW debut....Jones is better with 2nd time starters...can be prominent from the start

2  Wylie N Wyatt   OK debut in a mdn claimer...stepped into MSW and improved some...off 2+ months but owns a good looking series of works leading up to today's race

3  Valley Cat   sat too far back in a paceless race and still closed decently in his debut run which was in a maiden claimer.....seems like a positive that he moves up to a MSW affair

 7  Tribal Nation   works seem good enough to be considered ready for his MSW debut...seems like a good spot for a 1st timer in that no one has shown that much ability so far

3  Jack's Wild   top form seems to have returned to this gelding....repeat of either of his last 2 efforts make him the one to overcome

6  Comoros   believe long layoff sprint was a tune-up...then he was taken out of his "meant" race at GG on the 1st turn.....good sign Mike Smith wants the mount....shot to wire

7  Miguel's Mascot   long layoff but training as if ready to roll fresh....ran well versus some nice turf animals in 2008

1  One Man's Delight   competitive sprinter on the turf or the AW gives route racing a try

 

race 8    average clarity

1  Gold Schleiger   long layoff but drops....owns good early speed....and is training well...shot to wire...or at least sit up close in a decent position

5  Stormy Ambition   2 straight figs that fit on the sod....back to the AW and drops back into claiming

9  Spectacular Slew   Baffert has been red hot and this 1ster is training well enough to be consider ready for his entry into the world of racing

11  Warren's Concept   last long on the grass in a non claiming affair sure looks like a race being used to leg up and help his endurance...might fire lifetime best today

4  Herzog   same explanation as number 9
