Hollywood for Friday 5 Nov 2010

[private]

Saturday's Hollywood selections will be posted by late afternoon on Friday because of the early post on Saturday.

Best looking B C Cup play on day one may be in race number 8 at CD. Top two picks should be a price.

2  Theyskens' Theory

4  Awesome Feather

8  A Z Warrior

3  R Heat Lightning

5  Harlan's Ruby

race 1    average clarity

1  Samba School    2 for 2 at a route in the good old U S of A....small drop rarely bothers me when in comes from the M Mitchell barn

5  Gumption   horse is not up to snuff balance sheet wise (in 2010) where it counts ($ earned)....drops to earn his keep and cut his 2010 losses

race 2    below average clarity

5  Came Aboard   last looks as if it was needed....expceting much more today

6  Coloursoftheglen   another who looks as if it was a tune-up in latest and ful throttle today

4  E. P. Bombay   fast paced duel for 3/8's and then impressively shock clear and wired.......repeat of that effort would make him a solid contender

race 3    average clarity

5  Silver Luna   fairly decent debut and the Miller barn is usually more dangerous with 2nd time starters

7  Hot Ticket   barn's been hot so a rebound to this girl's solid debut run to races back seems likely with an equipment change

3  Pacific Coast Girl   new barn....a blistering gate work out of nowhere (blinkers on) and the 10 lb apprentice up.....may be a wire to wire attempt here

race 4    slightly above average clarity

1  Kim's Leading Man   good history with extended one turn racing.....impressive 3 wide move in last and few reasons she can't duplicate the effort once again

5  Dana Dynamo   another drop from Headley....might be in drop mode

6  Southern Victory   decent run 1st after the claim.....drops....barn has a good history 2nd out after the claim.....seems dangerous

race 5    slightly above average clarity

2  Family Plan   good post....good fig in last 1st time under the auspicious of the Proctor barn....quality grass conditioner....good chnce we see as good or better today...on or near the lead thru-out

7  Anniversary Girl   strong 1st on the grass from a difficult post....better post today and a smaller field for this mid pack runner to cope with

4  Weekend Party   loose in last and weakened but the pace was strong for the day...slow things thing and an improved finish is likely

race 6    average clarity

7  Galleta Monstruo   improved stretch drive into a total lack of pace in latest.......takes a logical drop and catches softer as you would expect and don't always get

1  Tall Texan   last was decent and 3 works since say he may have another left in him.....he has only been able to run 3 races in the last 2 years

2  Warren's Tony R.   last two victories have come from thr turf to dirt angl.....today's scenario

race 7     average clarity

3  Muny   nice win off of the long hiatus from the track.....Mitchell steps up so it's likely she is sharper because he isn't afraid to run a horse back for the same level of lower after a win

1  Classic Slew   in dent from on the AW....1st on the sod but bred to handle it

2  Red Door Drive   consistent sort effort wise but surprisingly only has 1 win on the turf....but it was at today's distance

race 8    average clarity

6  Gifted Student   speedster and Pedroza fit the 5 furlong sprint distance

7  Big Bad Boo   back in short rest off of a nice effort...trainer/rider get it done together

8  Ona Warpath    good works for a trainer like Periban with a 1ster who usually displays soft works with his babies

3  Happy Hedger   speed and no endurance......where have you been 5 furlongs ?

1  Emerald Assets   overdo drop for this maiden......should be a factor with a decent break from the gate
