Happy Holidays!  Enjoy the break. I know I will. Be back a week from today when we get to play in the dirt at @ Santa Anita. Thanks for being such great customers. My dealings with many of you have been nothing but a pleasent surprise and a great motivator to study hard for you, and of course, myself.   

 

race 1    average clarity

2  Toro Trippi   talk about no shot in his layoff run....broke very poorly then rushed and dueled on a dull rail......can be loose on the lead today with a good speed rider aboard....2 for 2 lifetime when he clears 

1  Bertran Hill   efforts put forth (both with very poor trips) in his last race and his race 3 back are very stout for this level

3  Fire In The Wind   nice win off of the layoff and rightfully steps up back in 9 days...fits fine if he is even in better condition after that comeback winning effort

 

race 2    average clarity

3  Steve's Blue Sky   race 2 back fits well versus these and the 5 1/2 furlong distance should suite her as she tends to flatten after 5 1/2 to 5 3/4's furlongs

1  Nana Beach   earned a solid no. in latest with a 5 wide trip....off pace runner seemingly gets ample pace to close into

4  Sally's Blade   has had 2 good lifetime races and they were with short rest......back in 14 days today

2  Kiss My Swiss   what a meet for Miller...he has to be walking on air after his big Grade 1 win Sat....5 1/2 furlongs seemingly should fit this filly and she is backed by the hottest trainer and rider on the grounds

 

race 3    average clarity

1  Living Our Dream   on or near the front from the get go in a race that should offer reasonable pace .......stellar record when Bejarano is aboard

3  Bimbo Magic   mare sure looks like she's on the rebound and that Hollendorfer recognized it....thus the claim....good likelihood she will step up and handle this higher level

4  Sweetsouthernqueen   even though she won both her last 2 races they aren't what she needs to win this....her effort 3 back is what we are looking for...she's been claimed and freshened up so we may see it

 

race 4    average clarity

8  Big Revolution   7lbs lbs off and dropping....Miller is 3 behind in the trainers title but has 4 in....red hot barn in turbo win mode....yikes

4  K K's Bro   horrendous trip in last and still only got beat by 3.....jock will be out to make amends

3  Dalton Gang   might own the best early speed here and use it to shake free....speed types did well yesterday....with the rain?

9  Swongs    late runner hoping for some pace up front to close into

 

race 5    average clarity

3  Solar Rocket   exits an alw field loaded with talent on Derby weekend at CD where he ran a solid 2nd....has been training sharply since...controlling speed as well

4  Nikki'sgoldensteed   on the improve since returned afetr a break....last fits another forward move and he's as good as our top selection

6  Leothelion   last may have been the test drive 1st time with the blinkers applied.....sharp recent drill hints at that

 

race 6    slightly below average clarity

3  Continetta   tightly spaced 5 and 6 furlong solid drills gives this 1st timer plenty of foundation......good producing mama.....decent rider/trainer team over the years...fairly sure ready  

10  Gonelikeahurricane   decent debut run and likely to improve for Shirreffs who is better 2nd time around

2  River Rambo   consistently tries hard and best ever was at today's 5 1/2 F distance

4  Magicallytown   not much of a 1st start trainer but this one is working like he might break the mold

 

race 7    average clarity  (off the turf)

4  Anga   only true late runner should be flying when many in here will be floundering....nice recent 5/8ths drill at SA...should be sharp 

5  Lucky Fitz   solid 2 figs sprinting in last 2 runs......two turns is the ? mark...trainer is heating up

6  Marino's Star   lone route race on the AW was a win but the fig was only OK at best....this is turf to AW though and Ellis could use a win

3  Tale Of The Bat   wired in very soft fractions with a very loose lead proving little but usually that kind of effort leaves plenty of horse left for his next start

 

race 8    slightly above average clarity

7  The Bat Signal    exits a very stout field (Hunch won impressively Sat) and lost by 1 to our 2nd choice the morning line favorite...now gets a very positive rider switch and 9 lbs less

4  Earnednevergiven   loved this horse last time and he continues to train as if he has remained on edge...very tough again today

1  Cayambe   superior job of training by V Garcia with this gelding...has earned 115K in 7 starts since he snatched for 25K...always seems to fir since new trainer took over......top 3 picks are hard to split but they stand out over the others

 

race 9    average clarity

6  Cat In The Forest   long hiatus from the action but bet hard in debut and seemingly went wrong in race....comes back fresh and ready for the white hot Miller barn

2  Swiss Hero   very consistent sort acted up badly in the gate so much so the vet took a look..toss that race out.....previous 3 fit well here

7  Double D's Diamond   debut run 3 back fits....recent drill suggests this one's rebounds to it today

3  Cabo San Lucas   obvious major speed factor but can he stay

5  Alert Rocket   trains like a runner but yet to run like one....maybe today
