Race 1 Santa Anita  average clarity
1 Swiss Charm  dead on the board in debut and still managed a par like fig for the level....more today is a strong possibility
4 Warren's Lady  very strong drills for the barn for a 1ster and the right guy aboard to get it done
3 Joe Ja  successful Tup trainer has this Cal 1ster ready to roll with a strong series of drills including a 1:10:4 which is quite impressive for a 3 filly Cal bred on the Tup surface
Â
race 2Â Â Â average clarity
2 Runflatout  excellent work series from Sadler for this 1st timer...rather sure ready at 1st askingÂ
1 Tokubetsu  solid pace and final time in lone lifetime race 8 weeks ago....and that Baffert guy is the conditioner
4 Unbridled Kimanchi  another 1st timer with a good series of works for his debut into the world of thoroughbred racing...blinkers on for debut suggests intend to fire a good race
Â
race 3Â Â Â slightly above average clarity
6 Champagneandlilies  good chance to be in the hunt up front from the get go....a good thing these days for a speed rider like Pedroza
1 Simply Put  positive rider switch...can get a nice chase position behind what maybe a very reasonable pace
2 Pivotal Queen  this one needs to be ready fresh because it is usually 1 and done (for quite awhile).....does fit well if she is readyÂ
Â
race 4Â Â Â average clarity
6 K. Jems  off a little slow and wide in debut....par like effort for the level...2nd out and a better rider all point to a improved run in 2nd lifetime start
1 Hostile Waters  vast improvement out of nowhere in last....very good chance to win if repeats the effort but no works showing since the race which was run 4 weeks ago...????
8 Guadalupe Lupe  last sure appears like the gimme to be full throttle 2nd out after the layoff.....works are sharp
3Â Bobby's N Paradise
Â
race 5Â Â Â average clarity
3 Cost Of Freedom  very impressive final time fig and pace in last 2 races...great spot for 4th straight victory if handles his 1st race on the new SA surface
1 Amazombie  very sharp animal appears to cherish 6 furlongs...can get what he likes a nice chase / ponce position
7 Apriority  Crc shipper left home with an eye popping 4F drill run just 4 weeks ago...in top form
6Â Quick Enough
Â
race 6Â Â Â slightly above average clarity
3 Jeranimo  1st grass race 2 back was solid....last turf race was very good even for a Grade 2...good post and rider...same distance
7 The Usual Q. T.  our top choice beat this guy by 5 but his recent work in the morning suggests he is back in better form and probably ready for his best which is quite good
8 Presious Passion   shipper is loaded with speed and gets Smith a good rider on the front end in 2 turn grass races
5Â Caracortado
Â
race 7Â Â Â average clarity
7 Evening Jewel  sprint grass tune-up in last followed by very strong works...quality Grade 1 winner should be back in peak form for today's 300K stakes race
9 Ultra Blend  consistent late runner appears to have what she needs an abundance of front running types
6 All Due Respect  impressive 1st ever winning run on the new SA surface....owns plenty of early speed but it maybe wise to rate a little here with too many front running types in the race
2Â Warren's Blossom
Â
race 8Â Â Â average clarity
7 Sterling Outlook  impressive 1st ever on the grass and it came off of a long hiatus from the track.....bullet drill since...should move forward
2 Detroit Donnie  positive rider switch seems worth a length or two and that should make him highly competitive down the hill today...beaten by less then 2 in last at the same level as today
4 Ace Of Aces  a lot like our top choice....strong effort off of the layoff and can surely move forward
6Â Pack Your Bags
Â
race 9Â Â Â slightly above average clarity
4 Hot Affair  earned a very solid fig/effort considering the final time combined with strong pace....3 works since and the white hot Baffert trains
2 Word Association  likes ample time between runs and gets it......consistently fires solid races at today's 6 1/2 furlong distance (3 for 3 in the win column and by wide margins)
1 Serene Sophia  1 fo 1 on conventional dirt....likes the distance....Baffert is the conditioner...enough for yours truly
Â
race 10Â Â Â slightly above average clarity
3 Stoneside  whole career on the hill fits strongly on Top Turf Today in this spot....will need a bad trip or go bad not to be a big factor here
5 Lil Dumaani  very solidform right now andmaybe even better then his last race....monster eye popping drill since his last (45:3 bullet)....super sharp if the extremely fast work didn't do him in some
9 Unico Lider  toss out last...caught 3 wide with nasty pace....blew turns before that...blinkers on to focus...owns 2 big turf sprint wins overseas....might show significant early speed today and with P Val up Â
4Â Dapper Gene
7Â Wing Forward
