[private]
Make sure you have the correct race day because Friday and Saturday were both posted on Friday.
Â
Â
race 1Â Â Â slightly above average clarity
3 Home Sweet Aspen  powerful MSW debut and recent (3 days ago) bullet drill strongly suggests we will see as good or better today in 2nd lifetime start
6 Pink Blanket  broke poorly and rushed into a nasty fast pace in high priced maiden claiming debut....claimed and rested some with 5 weeks off to recover from such a torrid run...same horse / good trip and lookout
4 Shoo Gee  speed of the speed especially if the 6 breaks poorly again and P Val aboard for a 5 1/2 furlong affair....legs might feel real good coming off of a grass race
Â
race 2Â Â Â average clarity
1 Brace Yourselves  good history at 6 and 6 1/2 furlongs....needs a month between starts and gets it
4 Kevlar Kid  after 2 solid races on the AW....tried turf and ran so so....toss it out....then caught an off track 1st ever on "real" dirt...toss it out....Bejarano sticks around suggesting he believes this gelding will handle a "fast" track just fine
3 Lunada Bay  exceptionally work tab suggests this laid up colt is all set to roll fresh off the bench for the stellar Bob Baffert barn
Â
race 3Â Â Â slightly below average clarity
4 Triple Action  seems like the right formula to get a 1st timer ready for a 5 furlong affair......solid longer drills to make a foundation followed by quick shorter drills...rather sure ready
2 Run Candy Run  lone lifetime race was a weak turf route run last Oct.....good works for his return and P Val up hints this colt may have some early speed....P Val has won 2 of his last 3 mounts for McAnally
5 Sea And Sage  gimme in debut.......then sharp drills suggesting he's a runner....then caught an off track....another nice drill since....now or maybe never today
6 Perfect Mandate  best career race for this colt was his last which was at today's abbreviated sprint 5 furlong distance
Â
race 4Â Â Â average clarity
9 Hiatus  horrid check at the start in 1st ever on the conventional dirt in his last...willing to drop...a ton if gets the trip and shows the same energy
2 Coloursoftheglen  logical drop for a trainer who needs to pick it up a bit....Gomez sticking around for this cheap affair is a solid positive
5 Island Sunset  laid up gelding is training exceptionally well for his return to the race wars...light weight apprentice can fly early here and be prominent throughout
3 Atticus Pomponius  solid move forward in last....fits fine but needs to get over his tendency to hang in the stretch.....Ellis could use a win
Â
race 5Â Â Â slightly below average clarity
9 Eric The Ram  only grass race (and it was on the SA hill) was loaded with talent...the 2 horses that beat him came back to win thier next out...can be close up early with P Val up
10 Photo Shopped  decent 1st ever turf run in latest.....Canani is quite good at improving a grass runner in his 2nd run on the sod
5 Joker Face   decent grass breeding and decent drills for this 1st timer....Eurton barn is finally heating up (he has an excuse as he was hurt badly and had a long recovery) and gets Bejarano to ride
1 Gifted Prince   1st on the grass for this laid up MSW with 1 lone start to his credit......mom has thrown 5 grass winners and dad sure is off to a great start as a sire......works hint he maybe readyÂ
Â
race 6Â Â Â slightly above average clarity
4 Switch  last 4 races are world class efforts.....now we get 5 lbs off for her return to route racing......big works suggests this filly remains in top form
3 St. Trinians  good return to the race wars in last and we should see even more from this quality mare today....her best can match up with our top pick
2 Always A Princess   decent shot to be loose and lonely on the front end and that is a very dangerous thing for a Baffert charge
Â
race 7Â Â Â average clarity
5 Bella Roja  all 4 hill turf races are good efforts that fit well in this spot....last win came at today's 32K claiming level
6 Manhattan Beach  long hiatus from the track but 5 tightly spaced drills in 26 days for a guy like Mitchell suggests she is all set to fire 1st out after the layoff...proven on the hill and that is half the battle
2 Rule The Storm  just claimed by Mitchell and back quick......may not have handled the "good" turf course in last (2nd but weaker fig) .....back to firm
10 Queen Mariles   decent speed on the SA hill and the right guy to get the job done in Talamo who is dominating stat wise in hill races
Â
race 8Â Â Â average clarity
9 Jaycito  tremendous Grade 1 races last Fall on the AW......earned powerful figures......goofy as can be at the start at the B. C. ??????? training like he can handle the conventional dirt....rebound city today
6 Premier Pegasus  very impressive sprint career so far....bred to get a route and just worked a powerful 5/8ths for today's race....all set for 1st ever route race
2 Runflatout  extremely fast MSW debut win and the drills since are as impressive....mega step up but then again Sadler is the conditioner
4 Awesome Patriot  believe Baffert really liked what he saw in this colt's last win (in his last)......1st ever at route......since then he has worked the colt numerous times and believe pointed to this race....dangerous
Â
race 9Â Â Â average clarity
9 Catchy Tune  very nice efforts since the blinkers were added....solid recent works and the trainer is most reliable when he shows good works
6 Smart Strike  trainer won with an overseas invader a few days ago....wire to wire....this one also seems to own some speed and is training as if ready
2 Andina  solid consistent turf runner sat too far off a pedestrian pace in last...can rebound with better position today and gets a good post to start from at the 1 mile turf distance
10 Sarasota Sunshine  nice needed sprint run in last her 1st ever in the good old U S of A.....full throttle today long on the lawn.......would have rated higher if it wasn't for the difficult outside post
Â
race 10Â Â slightly below average clarity
9 Gallatin's Run  last 2 of 3 are very solid here...is a suspicious drop...toss a coin
8 Lichtenstein  wide trip in last compromised his chances...whole career fits at this level
5 Scored  trainer has finally woken up and this laid up runner is training as if he loves the SA surface...ready city
11 Sweepemup  almost 3 years off...training fairly well and drops.....another coin toss type
10 Jolly Ollie  working like a much improved animal for his new barn and a good barn at that
