Another good looking card for today. For Derby weekend both Friday's and Saturday's cards will be posted either the night before or by 5:30 am pacific time the day of.

 

race 1    average clarity

3  Free And Able   tightly spaced solid drills for this 1st timer and I like the fact she worked 5F twice.....longer then today's race distance

1  Silent Sue   new sire but mom has thrown some nice runners and the work tab says ready to roll in MSW debut

2  Killer Graces   drills just keep getting better and better.....a sign this 1ster is peaking at the right time

 

race 2    average clarity

2  Russian River    easy impressive win in last and must have come out of the race better than ever because Mitchell steps up quite a bit....good history with M Garcia up...closer gets some pace up front

6  Fifie's Fantasy   3 for 3 sprinting on main track surfaces....showed she can handle the sod in only grass race which was at a route...sprint turf should be to her liking

4  Subpoena The Dress   in good form and is bred OK to handle her 1st ever on the sod.....seems to be some pace in here to aid her closing style

 

race 3    average clarity

9  Rachels Moon   must be a pet of sort because this is a long overdo drop......maybe the gelding bit the owners in the barn....it's has happened to me...it hurts.....good speed advantage in this spot

10  All De Vixens   extremely wide in last and still only got beat by 4+ lengths.....drops a notch and switches jocks...fits solidly except for the difficult starting position

7  Clocker Moment   very strong recent drill at Slr.....figs fit fine....the ability to handle a route on the AW is the ? mark

2  Preferred Behavior   only race on the Hollywood surface was in a sprint and it was a good effort.....route races on the conventional dirt and turf aren't bad

 

race 4    average clarity

4  Achak   very big race (best ever) for this gelding the last time he ran turf to the Hol AW...that's what he is doing today

5  Fire Break   dangerous high % N Cal trainer just snatched this highly consistent runner....steps up and training well....the trainer wins about 1/3 of the time with shippers and the same % with 1st out after the claims he makes

2  Job Boss    very consistent sort seems to be at home at on any kind of racing surface.....best history his at today's distance

 

race 5    average clarity

7  Rainbow Goose   long hiatus from the track but takes a significant drop in claiming price and trains as if he is all set fresh off of the bench

6  Via Verde   nice sprinter didn't want any part of stalking a nasty pace in a two turn grass race.....should be nicely conditioned to cut back in distance today and perform well in this 6F turf sprint affair

3  King Ledley   gelded before his last start and the "equipment" change sure woke him up.....solid drill since....fits solidly here if he moves forward again

2  Cahill Country   late runner is distance fit and has about a 50/50 chance to get a lively pace to close into in this spot

 

race 6    slightly above average clarity

7  Jardella   has displayed lots of ability in all 3 lifetime races and has 2 solid reassuring drills that suggest she is the same animal for today

1  Heidi Maria   solid fig/efforts in last two races.....good work tab....should fire another strong better then par for the class effort

3  Pink Leminade   very aggressive work tab for this 1ster hitting the track every 6 days or so.....Hendricks is usually ready with a work pattern like he shows with this girl

2  Forever Neda   decent debut and a very fast 5/8th's drill since....can and will have to move forward

 

race 7    average clarity

3  Elvies Lane   pedigree says she should love the grass......on the improve with every lifetime race and never trained better

5  Sarah's Secret   returns off of a long layoff but training sharply....monster runs in winning both lifetime races on the AW....turf pedigree is decent

2  Saanneen   she is well proven can handle this level and never better but she is giving 4 to 9 lbs to the rest of the field and this is one nice looking FNW2 race...but still very formidable here

4  Camile C   fired a big fig in last turf endeavor which was run way back in Nov......been floundering on main track surfaces since....very fast drills put into her....might be a major speed factor cutting back to a turf sprint

 

race 8    average clarity

3  Separate Forest   on the improve with every start since O'Neill claimed for 25K 5 races back.....1st on the AW but believe she will handle it....can get a nice mid pack position behind a lively pace

1  Irish Gypsy   only true closer in a field that has way too many speed types

4  Saint Isabelle   capable of rating a little....great history when Bejarano rides.....3 wins and 1 2nd by a neck in 4 mounts

5  Dawnie Macho   speed of the speed here might get away but at what cost....great start for T C Baze a superior speed rider

 

race 9    average clarity

1  Triple Star    long layoff but good work tab suggesting she's ready to roll.....turf figs are solid here with the big drop in class....most grass runners handle the Hollywood synthetic

4  Forty Dates   after 3 straight solid runs for this level of competition this mare fell off a little in her last...rested some and training like a rebound will occur

9  Our Bellini Bikini   very consistent runner and 3 for 5 in the win column at Hol.....Pedroza knows this filly well

6  Rev Her Up   good history back with short rest and back to Bejarano who has good history with this mare

5  Banana Cream Pie   not an easy spot for a cheap 3 year old filly to run versus a decent group of older females but Mitchell claimed two races back and drops to score....always a dangerous thing
