 Sure is a pleasure to study the weekend cards at Del Mar for all of you. Not much of a thrill to express my thoughts in print typing at my snails pace of about 30 words a minute.  This card seems better than average. Sure hope I'm right.

3 Macho Dorado  big run 2 back turf to AW........same tactic today
5 Red Sharp Humor  declining horse but should fit in this spot......trainer could use a winner
6 Offlee Wild Boys  good N Cal trainer has been little too ambitious with this gelding and now spots him where he belongs and gets the hot riding GomezÂ
race 2Â Â Â average clarity
4 Meadow Lake Queen  both lifetime wins are with today's jock aboard.......owns the controlling speed in this affair
3 Forty Dates  very consistent sort is 13 of 16 on the board on main track surfaces
5 Gotham Spirit  seemingly in good form and just worked a reassuring 4F drill 4 days ago....good shot to hold her form today
1A Warren's Swamp Fox  2nd after the claim may be the charm for a good claiming outfit
race 3Â Â Â average clarity
6 Winsome Charm  seems to have been lured into this lower level with the condition of the claiming race and of course the nice purse for a 32K claimer...facing a little softer
4 Mr. Katz  consistent sort seems to have responded nicely to Rosario up as he finally moved forward a little fig/effort wise in last...same jock today
8 Gothic Samurai  cut back in distance and a solid work tab since his last puts this one in the hunt for the circle of joy
1 Kilkenny  dangerous conditioner 1st time he places a horse in a claiming race like today

5 Blazing Along   lead type only appears to have the best early gas in the field and his only race at Dmr was a good one
4 Khendum  somewhat goofy at times awkward runner appears ready fresh.....top conditioner Shirreffs has had plenty of time to school her and teach her how to harness her talent
1 lady Liam  1ster is training well enough to possibly be ready and seemingly catches a semi-soft group
8 Clever Chloe  good works.......bad 1st timer history for trainer French but he gets Gomez to ride.....hmmmm....might break the mold today
race 5Â Â Â average clarity
6 He's Dance Star  seems solid for 40k......most likely will sit off if some to avoid a potential nasty speed duel
3 Quick Enough  is there one left in the tank for this quickly declining horse since his trip to UAE
1 Caught A Flyer  speed of the speed maybe......especially with the one post at 5 furlongs......Kayla Stra is doing decent on the sod...it's nice to see
2 Buyer's Remorse  may get enough pace to fly late especially if Baze saves some ground from his advantageous post

7 Bling Cha Bling  debut was good....2nd race was stellar......that race was one of the fastest 2 year old 5F maiden races figure wise in S Cal over the last 4 years
6 Chickie Charms  hot trainer in Eurton.....hot works.....all set in debut
3 Norm's Passion  just purchased in May of 2011 so the connections knew what they were getting....also working extremely well.....good 1st timer trainer in Bonde
9 In Deep  1/2 million $ purchase and Baffert trained....all systems go....sure is hard to put a well bred and well trained Baffert charge as 4th choice
race 7Â Â Â slightly above average clarity
3 Cayambe  all 3 figs on Top Turf Today for this claimer in 2 turn affairs are at least 2 lengths faster than par for today's level.....good trip....same horse....very tough to beat here
6 Arcodoro  best race on the AW ever 1st out after the claim....now back to the turf where I believe he is better....might be sitting on a big grass race and has Gomez up to get it done
2 Jairzihno  trainer is most dangerous 3rd out after the layoff....today's gimme gimme go scenario
1 Deputiformer   1st ime Mullins off of the claim is when he can be most dangerous
race 8Â Â Â slightly above average clarity
4 Switch  fab filly is working well as usual and should be able to sit about 2nd or 3rd and ponce somewhere after 6 furlongs
6 St. Trinians  tons of ability when she brings her A game....toss out last where she sat too far off a paceless race
3 Zazu  dangerous 3 year old filly and with Rosario taking Switch the hot riding Gomez is up....to me when Gomez is riding in peak form nobody in California is better

7 Bullybullybully   showed terriffic early speed 2 back with the blinkers albeit on the sod.....back on today after being removed in last.....big speed today on the AW.....can be in the hunt from the get go
8 Wid And True   ran away in nasty pace with the app up in last.....new jock today will take back some and reserve something
3 Preferred Mandate  in good form and now we get Rosario who is solid 1st timer riding off pace runners like this colt
5 Fleet Continental  needed last and should show much more today
race 10Â average clarity
10 Fairfax Lion  bad trip in debut and still finished well.......given the effort he showed a good journey and he can with this
12 Link Suances  loose on an off pace track in a wake up last.....best speed effort of the day.....P Val aboard and this race looks to favor the chances of speed types
11Â Alex TÂ Â like a cheap maiden coming off route races and cutting back to 7F....also owns enough speed to sit close in this group
6 Shivashakti   1ster is training up to snuff to possibly be ready for his mc debut and draws Rosario to ride
9 Awesome Brady  owns a small touch of speed and the cut back of 1/2 furlong looks like a good thing
3 Clocker Moment  consistent sort is proven at the somewhat specialty distance of 7F....does tend to hang
Longshot Possibilities: 7 Benny's Benchmark  exits a fast heat with a very bad trip....so being beaten by 10 wasn't that bad....positive rider switch today....a decent longshot jockey to boot
Note: another potential longshot is 13 We Want It More if he draws in from the AE's
