FAIRPLEX DATES THAT THE RACING DIGEST WILL BE AVAILABLE
Opening day at Fairplex Friday, September 9th and Derby day at Fairplex, Saturday  September 24th will be available. There will be another card covered which I'll announce at a later date.Â
Â
race 1Â Â Â average clarity
3 My Bashert  very impressive last drill for a trainer like O'Neill....also working as if she owns plenty of gas....rather sure this 1ster is ready
5 Fly Solo  another 1st starter seemingly ready to roll.....really like the back to back 6F drills one week apart....nice foundation
4 Indecise  this Mandella 1st timer  finished her work tab with 16 furlongs of drills in only 17 days....yikes.....horse feels great and the gate work on 22 Aug says she can run a little too
race 2Â Â Â slightly above average clarity
3 Joker Face  sure seems on the rebound and runs just fine on the sod....terrific meeting for the trainer
6 Te Raps   nice wake up in last on the drop down.....1st on the grass but Zucker is very good with grass horses so I trust his judgement that this so so bred for the turf runner will take to it
5 Uncle Greg  better grass horse at 1 mile today's distance.....flattens past a mile......very consistent competitive efforts long on the grass
race 3Â Â Â slightly below average clarity
9 Ansede  broke slightly tardy and ran 5 wide in debut.....smooth things out in 2nd lifetime start and you have a tough filly to beat.....trainer is doing better lately
3 All I Want  not the best of trips in 1st run at Dmr.......better trip and a logical forward move 2nd time out on the AW and this filly should be as tough as anyone in this group
4 Warren's Judy  flashed good early speed in mc debut and tired.......should benefit from the race and the recent 5F drill since.....underrated speed rider remains up
7 Classic Journey  mom consistently tosses precocious runners........drills are up to snuff.....trainer has had a good meeting  Â
race 4Â Â Â slightly below average clarity
5 U. C. Merced Two  consistent type looks pretty good in this spot if you view his layoff last as nothing more as a tune-up for his 2nd out after the layoff
12 Certified Diamond  very consistent sort sprinting on fast surfaces....decent trainer rider comboÂ
4 Purse Luva  has turned into a very consistent animal but does tend to hang some.....low percentage rider but seems to do his best riding for Carava
9 Raingear  way too flat at 7 furlongs especially lately.....cut back of a full furlong and a good recent 4F work should make him a factor when it counts
race 5Â Â Â average clarity
5 Pick And Pray   likes the AW........cuts back to level where she won 2 races back.....handles pace decently and has rated in the past which she might have to here
8 Folk Dancer  last looks like nothing but a gimme in S Florida to dirty things up some for those that are looking to claim.....go today 1st time in the Greenman barn
9 Indiara  very consistent late runner at 6 and 6 1/ furlongs......switch to Gomez and he has won 2 of his last 3 mounts for trainer
4 Subponea The Dress  never easy to claim from Mitchell but Morey is 35% 1st out after the claim and that is from a significant sampling
race 6Â Â Â average clarity
4 Alaska Miss  significant speed on the AW bodes well in this 5F turf spot for this girl's 1st ever on the turf......bred just fine to make the conversion to the grass
6 West Ruler  ultra consistent mid pack turf sprinter seemingly gets ample pace to be a big factor at the wire
7 Nice Meidel  done little wrong in 3 grass sprints in 2011 and has Talamo aboard who appears to be on a mission to win the Dmr riding title
5 Came West  almost beat the stellar Ultra Blend in lone grass race albeit in June of 2010......needed last and might be fit enough now to put in a big late run at a big price
race 7Â Â Â Â slightly above average clarity
5 Lookin For Jonesy   bad trip in MSW debut and still won geared down at the wire......4 drills since strongly suggests the filly exit her debut in good shape
1 Heleonor Rugby  very impressive 2 year old firing in all 5 lifetime starts....few reasons she can't fire once again
9 Backwoods Belle  crushed much softer foes in her last but she did it chasing solid pace and the final time was very good for the level....claimed by Sadler and he has a keen eye for 2 year old fillies
3 Starlight Magic  nightmare MSW debut being blocked badly then clipping heels.......impressive to only be beat by 3 lengths.....Bejarano wants back even in a Stakes race
race 8Â Â Â slightly below average clarity
7 Truco Landing  very big effort/fig 3 races back....that would take this....whether we get it or not is not an easy call because this colt has trouble holding the turn....he held it in last but it was a so so effort
2 Ava's Paradise  1ster shows signs of having ability and is out of a decent broodmare
4 Jeffrey's Pride  owns 1 race in 4 the fits well and that is his effort 2 races back....been freshened up....might rebound to it
9 Mudville Nine  worked well and bet in debut and ran a clunker.......continues to train well....deserves another shot
12 Jersey Joe  very bad trip in last hides a significant wake up........but 0 for 13 apprentice up and gets the difficult outer-most post to deal with or I would have rated higher
5 Ello Guv  1st timer might be ready for slumping O'Neill barn
Longshot possibilities:  8 Legal Victory  been a bit of a rogue so far in 2 lifetime races (bad trips but mostly caused by her greenness) but has 3 tightly spaced drills since his last and a good upset rider aboard in the irons
