So so card to open up the Fairplex meeting. Maybe it is just hard to deal with much inferior animals at Fpx as compared to Dmr. Keep a close eye on the early races as my selections are for a fair playing field and Fpx can often be biased in one way or another. Next Fpx date for selections is 21 September. Be back with you then.
race 1Â Â Arabians so below average clarity
7 French Beat  sharp all summer and has proven she can handle today's 6F distance
1 One Hot Chick  has done little wrong since the blinkers were added.....good history starting from the 1 hole
5 Virebe  might be best early speed in the race.....lone race at Fpx was decent
race 2Â Â Â average clarity
3 Kvell  solid late runs in her last 2 efforts....figs are solid versus these and the king of Fpx is in the saddle
2 Suprized Winner  most of the 1st timers that Cash Asmussen has brought to California have shown life in their debut efforts
7 Enlightened  decent work tab for this 1ster....trainer has put a good foundation into her which she needs to try and get the 7 furlongs
4 Lively Belle  useful mc debut in last......can compete with a solid forward move in her 2nd lifetime start
race 3Â Â Â slightly above average clarity
1 Majestic Peak  consistent sort drops claiming price in half......1 for 1 at Fpx....sure seems like the controlling speed in the race
6 Clare's Top Choice  solid 2nd out after the layoff win at SR in last......repeat of that effort should make him a top contender especially with the 1 t0 5 shot to win the Fpx riding title Pedroza up
4 Proud Cardenal  most likely the layoff run in last was the gimme to be full throttle today on the drop down in claiming price
8 Nitro Active  laid up since April......might need the race but fits if he doesn't

9 Super Candy  colt fits well for maiden 32K....last ran for mdn80K looks like nothing more than a workout.....sharp work since....well meant today back where belongs
4 Yankee Dan  tossed a clunker in last.....race 2 back fits fine.....Pedroza aboard to get the better race out of this horse
3 Jersey Joe  last was poor.....effort 2 back is good and it is hidden somewhat with a bad trip-a-roo
7 Officer Jones  debut was a useful effort.......trainer is better with 2nd time starters....bred to be a decent sprinter
race 5Â Â Â slightly above average clarity
8 Orbach  solid improvement 1st after the claim by O'Neill.....catches a soft looking group here and gets the top gun in Pedroza
3 Regroup  blocked on the turn and in the stretch or would have won last.....should have plenty of horse left in the tank for today's race
5 The Hunt Is On  zero wins and 10 2nd's in 21 starts on conventional dirt......now that's a hanger
2 Chop House George  shot to get loose as a goose on the lead so he may............go............all..............the..........way
race 6Â Â Â average clarity
2 Praise For Dubai  last sure appears the MSW tune-up to tighten up and be ready for his 1st ever in maiden claiming.....tough trainer and ultra tough Fpx rider
4 Valen  all 3 races run in 2011 fit decently here.....should be prominent from the get go....1st ever on "real dirt" but bred to handle it
3 Brother Ernie  horse has changed his running style from stalker to closer and it seems to be working.....seems like a good sign Periban steps this one up a notch
6 Warren's Rail Bird  last race is solid but yet to fire on conventional dirt and the jock hasn't hit the board in 18 starts in 2011....still.......somewhat dangerous
race 7Â Â Â slightly below average clarity
7 Warren's Rose  good speed in this spot and the cut back of 1/2 furlong looks like a plus....and of course the drop in claiming price will be significant if this mare is still the same animal as her last few efforts
3 Dance Little Angel  earned a big adjusted for trouble fig in last.......but it is never easy to run back in 5 days....we shall see
6 Pay For Play  most of career efforts fit well versus these......once again tough team of O'Neill/Pedroza....at least at Fpx.....different story at Dmr/SA/Hol
4 Pivotal Queen  last fits fine and this horse drops for 2nd out after the layoff....as good as any in here if moves forward
race 8Â Â Â slightly below average clarity
6 Small But Mighty  big race in last 1st out under the auspicious of Mike Mitchell.....that effort fits here....more is only icing on the cake
5 Miss Peanut  exits a fast heat and had a bad trip.....same effort on the drop here with a smoother trip and fits as well anyone here
1 Forty Dates   very consistent sort is OK if he repeats his last which was with a new trainer.....very stout if he repeats the efforts he ran for his previous conditioner
8 Angel Of Mystery  fairly impressive in all 4 2011 starts and this mare is 1 for 1 at Fairplex
Longshot Possibilities:  10 Cruz'n Kitty  very high % trainer 1st out after the claim.....and the horse is 5 of 9 in the win column on conventional dirt
race 9Â Â Â slightly above average clarity
2 California Nectar  sure likes "real dirt" and on it this filly can handle strong early pace and go on with down the stretch
4 True Way Of Grace  deep closer should be motoring late.....you got to like her winning her lone Fpx start
3 Joe Ja  dangerous sprinter at times just tossed a hint she might bring her "A' game with a solid 5/8ths drill at Dmr
race 10Â Â Â average clarity
10 Bigbari  strong run 2 back especially considering it was fresh off of the bench.....turf tightener in last and solid drill on the "dirt" at SA.....seems very well intended today
9 Link Suances  sharp efforts in last 2 endeavors at Dmr........ice cold Vienna gets Pedroza to ride....a sign this one still feels good and might get Vienna a much needed winner
8 Lana's Smile  over a year off since last seen but takes a big drop out of MSW and is training faily well
4 Runforcandy  O'Neill 1st timer finished his work tab on a high note....might be ready to roll
