***Difficult card today especially in the pick 6 sequence***
Take note of my turf data (report) being posted for free on The Racing Digest website for a limited time before it will go on sale in the near future.
To answer the many inquiries about BC weekend.....I plan on doing a special publication for the Breeders Cup but for Saturday 5 Nov. only because of time constraints. The publication will be available early Friday night. Pricing and details will be posted early next week.
race 1Â Â Â average clarity
4 Gelila  bad trip in debut....broke 4 slow and ran wide in a AW sprint at Dmr......earned a powerful adjusted for trouble fig........bred fine to get a mile and handle the turf
5 Correspondent  easily best turf credentials but so far is showing a tendency to hang in the stretch
6 Ke Kukui  good drills for this 1st timer and Thomas Bell is good with grass horses
2 Let's Go Cheyenne  better work tab since so so debut on the AW.........sure like his pedigree to appreciate a turf mile
race 2Â Â Â average clarity
1 Sea Rascal  last 2 wins came last 2 times this gelding was on the new SA dirt surface when it was rated "fast"....believe last race at GG was nothing more then a turf tightener to leg up and drop and go
3 Galleta Monstruo  solid horse below the 4oK claiming level.....sharp recent bullet drill at Hollywood suggests Mitchell has this gelding primed and ready to go
6 Valkyrie Missile  consistent sort also drops and has a touch of early speed in an affair lacking it....P Val will be on the engine....1st ever on the dirt is somewhat of a ? mark
race 3Â Â Â average clarity
9 Spacecoast   best set of works for a 1ster from the Machowsky barn in quite some time......might be a good one
6 Vionnet  training up a storm and bred to be a nice sprinter....mom's only other foal won at 1st asking
7 Made To Love Her  figs/efforts fit well at the MSW level and her running lines suggest the small cut back in distance is a positive
4 Princess Ash  not the best work tab for Baffert 1ster but still dangerous on pedigree alone
Long-shot of the day: 1 Saturday's Girl   soft works for debut and no action on the board....strong works now and blinkers off...both strong suites for the ever dangerous Jeff Bonde
race 4 Â Â average clarity
6 Belle Gallaway  invader from Hst has run 2 solid sprints that should fit fine here since the blinkers were put on
3 Maryjean  the epitome of tight interval training that I firmly believe is a not used enough and a great way to get a horse ready.....tightly spaced intervals and lots of soft works....Vann Belvoir has been most impressive trying to crack into the S Cal racing seen
5 Silver Street  improving sort will be tough if she keeps the trend going
7 Warren's Wanna Be  need debut race run 3 back to have a shot
race 5Â Â Â average clarity
5 Judge Joan   very solid runner on the "dirt" at this level........mid pack position with plenty of heat up front to soften things up
1 Bar Room Gal  has steadily claimed the claiming ladder at Emd....runs well with a month between starts and gets it
8 Irridescent Red  laid up but 2 for 2 on the new SA dirt surface and training as if ready off of the layoff
4 Dubai Macau Girl  lifetime 3 races on conventional dirt sure do looks good.....dangerous
race 6Â Â Â slightly below average clarity
4 Golden Mexico  wisely scratched out of a tough nw2 yesterday won by our top pick in a very fast time....softer here
6 Jairzihno  Mitchell's hot once again...strong 2nd in last versus a tougher horse than anyone in here
8 El Martillo  hasn't seen the grass in quite awhile but when last on it popped a lifetime best for the sod
2Â Global Stage
race 7Â Â Â below average clarity
2 Rock This Way  improving sort tried the turf in last and didn't appear to care for it......can continue to move forward back on the dirt today
9 Master Chef  extremely consistent competitive sort just needs a touch more staying power or a softer pace to score in this spot
14 Red Door Drive  best animal in the race but draws a nasty post and it is slightly suspicious that he is for 40K...still very dangerous
13 Spud Spivens  laid up for 7 weeks but working sharply for his return to the race wars
race 8Â Â Â average clarity
4 Robbie's War ran well on the hill in lone start on it.....Cassidy is awakening and that is kind of hidden...should be flying late
7 Sanai  solid sprinter on any surface......training as if this colt is sitting on a top effort
1 Irish Art  has as much talent as our top couple of picks but a tough post
5 Shred The Secrets  race lacks speed and he has it with P Val on his back as a bonus
race 9Â Â Â average clarity
5 Hanserella  impressive close into little pace up front in last....can sit closer today
11 Molly's All Heart  drops out of MSW and just worked very sharply.....trainer is doing much better at this meeting with his limited runners then his record indicates
7 Almost A Lady  Sadler 1ster is training up to snuff to be ready for her debut into the wonderful world of Thoroughbred racing
1 Gambling Cowgirl  exits a fast heat at Fpx....can be in the hunt from the get go
10Â Warren's Goldie
2Â Sea Of Desire
