Opening Day Hollywood
Since the new all weather Cushion Track was put down at Hollywood almost every opening day at Hollywood has been some degree of an outside bias. Never that severe but it only takes a slightly dull rail on AW surfaces to greatly favor late runners. I studied with a slight leaning towards the rail being a little dull. Good luck to all!

4 Sidepocket Lou  multiple bad trips for this gelding......two of them came when Eswan Flores was mostly a liability on a horse.....he is now riding well enough where his apprentice allowance is usually an advantage
1 Panther's Claw  keeps improving in the am and the pm.....seems poised for another forward move
7 Personalitary might get a chance to judge the rail with this 4 year old who looks loose on the lead here.......if I was Rosario I would try to keep the horse in the 2 path to be safe
8 Mucho Bravo  not too bad of a 1st route run in latest........ran lifetime best at Hollywood.....should welcome a return to it's AW surface

6 Meritricious  3 solid runs in the only 3 races this colt had close contact to the front end of things and he should be able to sit close up here........consistent lifetime efforts/figs that fit well here
8 Domonation  Sadler lost this gelding for 32K....claimed him back for 40K.....puts him up for 25K.....rather alarming but still dangerous off of 2 months rest
1 Cragmont  last 2 races were poor.....needs to rebound to race 3 back........that race 3 back was at Hollywood and the recent drills are good......might see it
5 Tales Of Tigger  looks to have a good chance to be loose on the lead and would be dangerous if the track plays fair or is conducive to speed on opening day
race 3Â Â Â average clarity
7 Brady Blue Eyes  Glatt is good 3rd out after a layoff........gelding's best turf races are at Hollywood and that is rather hidden
5 Star Nicholas  have to like the step up in claiming price for a trainer like Carava who usually spots his horse's where they have a shot to win....only grass race was a nice 2nd at 6F at Hol for the same tag
2 Sky'squickscore  1 for 1 on the Hollywood grass course and just popped his best grass fig in last on the SA hill in his 1st out after the claim by Canani.........2 nice works since.......good historical data 2nd out after the claim by his trainer
8 Hasty Trend  very solid run on the SA dirt especially considering the long hiatus from the track...........sharp 4F drill since....handles turf.....seems poised for a good effort
race 4Â Â Â slightly above average clarity
2 Roman Chic  might be in somewhat fragile condition for Mitchell to put up for 10K but lookout if she's healthy enough because race 2 back her only race for Mitchaell on an AW surface would handle these with ease wire to wire
1 Jana Gail  toss out last.....appears to dislike conventional dirt.......toss out previous fig......no pace to close into........3 back was turf......4 back was a strong effort/fig on the AW.....hidden horse
6Â Monica C CÂ Â seems like this one was claimed for the Hollywood meeting ( 6 2 0 2)by Miller.....also has an impressive 4 of 7 at today's distance
9 Ballistic Blonde  blinkers off to try to wake up........and drops claiming tab in half.......1st ever on the AW is a question mark
race 5Â Â Â slightly below average clarity
4 Antidote  last two efforts 2nd out after a break were forward efforts.....2nd out after a break here and this colt's last wasn't too shabby versus a couple of tough foes
2 Tiz Gianni  showed improved early speed in latest albeit at 1 1 /8.....1 mile seemed a little too short a turf distance in the past for this Shirreffs runner but may not be now especially with a good post and Mike Smith aboard
3 Pride Of Silver  has run well versus better on the main track......1st on the turf......so so grass pedigree but runs better on the AW then the "dirt" which suggests this gelding may handle the sod
6 Renegade Storm  works hint that Martin is trying to but more early speed into this late runner and it worked some in last....less then only 10 lengths off 1:08:2......also back to Bejarano who owns the only win this horse has had in the last 2 years

1 Musical Arts  broke slow.....ran wide....checked on the turn and only got beat by 3 in MSW debut and it was a solid heat.......a ton if runs more intelligently this afternoon in her 2nd lifetime start
8 A Racing Delight  all 3 races run on the AW are better then par efforts adjusted for trouble......off 8 weeks but his work regiment is up to snuff to be ready
6 Scream Queen  last race run 3 months ago was an improved effort........blinkers on for today....has never trained very well until lately.....good shot to fire best ever today with 1st time blinkers
2 Cavalletta  only race that fits of her 3 lifetime races was her MSW debut....so.....fresh off a 10 week break in the action seems like a good thing
Longshot possibilities:  4 Sabouli  exits an extremely fast MSW heat with a bad trip but more importantly went off at 57 to1....that strongly suggests it was a much needed tune-up to leg up like no work out can do and strike in her 2nd or 3rd lifetime start
race 7Â Â Â slightly below average clarity
4 My Untamed Heart   Vann Belvoir had 2 good S. Cal meets in a row and his top gun seemed to be Bejarano......all 3 lifetime grass races fit rather well in this spot
5 Wallstreeter  extremely consistent grass races for this son of Street Cry....more proven in 2 two grass races but still he should be motoring late in this 1 turn 6F grass affair
3 Hakuchi  finally gets to run on the turf in the good old U S of A after 3 OK runs on the AW......sure was better on the sod in her native ARG
1 Warren's Creampuff  might not a race off of the layoff.....kind of hard to tell......but sure seems to fit fine here if she doesn't

1 Hava Cigar   seems to have an endurance advantage over others in this race coming off a turf route race......seems like a logical drop to get to the circle of joy and possibly have a cigar
10 Fear The Beard  seems to be rebounding and his best ever effort/fig was his only race at Hollywood
3 Victoriasugrdaddy  trainer is better with 2nd time starters......debut was at a route and that seemingly is a big plus here
7 Silverdo Canyon  showed he can run more than one turn in his last a three turn affair on the bullring at Fpx.....7 weeks off but Pedroza wants the mount back.......a positive sign
11 Far To Reach   1st at a route in last wasn't bad......needs a great ride from a difficult route post to upset here
9 Rara Song  exits a slow heat at SA with a 2nd place finish.....will need more today....does own good speed in this spot so has a good shot to avoid traffic trouble
