race 1Â Â Â average clarity
3 Moonshine Alice  blinkers on has put some life into this mare in her last 2 races and that is somewhat hidden......sharp recent bullet drill suggests she has held her form
1 Lisa Lulu  seemingly faces her easiest field ever......would have been top selection if it wasn't for her tendency to hang in the stretch
5 Saint Cindy  did not take a logical drop in last which at the time seemed strange......and..... Bejarano sticks around for 3rd out after the layoff........ so......might be...... gimme....gimme....drop and go
race 2Â Â Â slightly below average clarity
1 Rowdy Gal  smooth looking runner in her MSW debut and it led to a winning effort......turf pedigree is adequate......seems to be the only runner in this field that is proven off of the pace
4 Tasty Treat  won a very fast heat at Fpx in her maiden debut 2 back....no shot in last stuck on a dull muddy inside with solid pace.......adequate sod breeding.......blinkers off today...... speculating that her recent bullet drill at Hollywood was without the blinks....if so all systems go
3 One Magical Girl  not sure about her grass breeding but this fresh filly set a blistering pace 2 races back and still won going away on the Dmr AW....sharp works series says ready

2 Master Me Gone  closed well in latest into a semi-soft pace in a 6 1/2 furlong affair.....7F looks like a good fit.....easily does her best running at Hol so you would think her barn would pull out all stops to get her ready for today........long time till she can run at Hol again
4 Sambora  1 for 1 at 7 furlongs.....1st career win came in 3rd lifetime start.....so 3rd after the layoff for today seems like a good thing
1 Warren's Flyer  just claimed off of an improved effort........only one 2nd in four starts at the distance but 2 of those races were over her head.....repeat of last puts her in the hunt....Miller is 7 of his last 60 1st after a claim

6 Crestatorre  best running has been with the blinkers off at 6F......that's what we get today........good work previous to last and a good effort.....very good work fo today's race bodes well
1 The Director  exits a solid MSW race with a nice 3rd and now drops to M20K (cost $750K)......yikes.....might want to play 1st or out in your gimmicks
3 Del Mar Johnny  much improved in last 2 races when taken back off of the pace........seems to appreciate the Hollywood racing surface
8 E's Gold  trainer who usually makes the most out of his limited starters sent out two 1st timers last week and the ran fairly well......why not a 3rd
race 5Â Â Â average clarity
4 Capital Plan  on the right end of the learning curve and sure is training well for a hot trainer in Jerry Hollendorfer....might fire lifetime best
2 Toro Bonito  sure seems to appreciate Hollywood the most over the other S Cal racetracks.......1 win and 2 2nds in last 3 races at 1 1/16 at Hollywood.......proven fresh
1 Star Presence  somewhat soft on figs but if the 3 horse doesn't put much heat on early this filly might get away with a pedestrian like pace and never get caught
race 6Â Â Â slightly above average clarity
1 Twitch   very impressive to snatch 2nd in turf debut last after getting taken out wide on the 1st turn.......good work tab since........goes from the outer-most 8 post to the 1 post....same effort with a decent trip and this filly will be difficult to overcome
2 Real Sharp  bad starts in both lifetime starts which were sprint turf races and then showed good ability to handle the sod.....did move forward in 2nd lifetime start.......bred fine to get a route of ground.....better beginning would help
7 La Malaguena  2 decent turf sprints under her belt and now gives a route a try with a pedigree that should suite a distance of ground on the turf......Drysdale has won only 3 of his last 50 1st at a route which is a concern obviously
3 Cavalletta  showed some life in layoff last.....will need a solid move forward in 1st ever on the sod and running long.......step up out of maiden claiming hints her last muscled her up some
race 7Â Â Â slightly above average clarity
6 Hello Sugar  exited a race loaded with talent so being beaten by 4L was a decent layoff effort.....strong drill since especially for the likes of Jones.....good shot to move forward and faces easier
3 Portfolio  progressively better in fast track sprints since the blinkers were applied......very sharp recent drill.....shot for lifetime best this afternoon
2 Maggie McGowan  lifetime debut (the ultimate fresh horse) was solid so with a good work tab under her belt this filly might be very ready to roll as a fresh horse today
race 8Â Â Â average clarity
2 King Of Swing  broke slow and rushed from the dreaded 1 post in last or would have most likely wired......shot to wire in this spot with a clean break from a better post
8 Warren's Patron  debut back in June fits well here and then was forced out wide in layoff last while making a strong move.......in my notes I estimated he would likely have been 1st or 2nd if not impeded so badly
6 Stubborn Streak  broke a little tardy and blocked some on the turn and stretch......owns decent speed here....jockey Piermarini and the trainer own a win and a place together in 2 races over the last 2 months.....hmmmm
4 Praise For Dubai  checked on the run-up and went 5 wide and still managed to close in the stretch.......back in 1 week and O'Neill is solid when in brings horses back in micro rest
3 Husky Glory  laid up since July but the trainer is fairly hot and the horse owns one effort that would put him in the hunt......that being his 2 June race
7 Nonrefundable  bet hard on the drop out of MSW in layoff last and showed very little.....deserves another chance????
