Great start to the new year yesterday with quite a few of our customers hitting the pick 5 for 50 cents or 1 dollar. We might have had a large chunk of the pick 5 pool.
Tough card today especially the 1st 1/2 off the card
race 1Â Â Â average clarity
6 Belle Gallantey  poor trip in last.....toss it out.......most of his other races including those on conventional dirt fit well in this field
3 Rica's Ready exceptional history for Hollendorfer dropping from MSW to maiden claiming....wins with these kind about 2/5ths the time
4 Gittel  another dropping out of MSW racing.......sharp recent drills including a bullet on 16 Dec......trainer who didn't have the best of years in 2011 seems to be awakening
1 Malibu Lover  on the right end of the learning curve......1st ever at a route of ground but is bred just fine to get a mile
race 2Â Â Â below average clarity
4 Unusual Hottie   bet hard in mc debut and ran like a good thing......must have came out of the race in good shape since because Sadler has been able to work the horse every 6 days since.....decent shot to move forward and handle the step up
1 Do Somethin  power effort/fig in last that would be very tough to beat.....but that winning effort was 2 1/2 months ago.....only 3 works showing since........toss a coin
8 Adios Problemas   won at 1st asking in mc debut in decent time......2 reassuring works since......trainer is decent in his abilities to score back to back wins with a horse
7 Maryjean  yet another to score in her mc debut......time was a touch weak but the recent work tab is impressive and hints at a fitter 2nd time starter
race 3Â Â Â below average clarity
5 Gibson Home Run  speed of the speed and retains the light weight app on his back
3 Cut Fastball  just claimed and his new conditioner makes a jock upgrade......best ever is on the conventional dirt track and it is a bad trip hidden effort
6 Cat In The Forest  just claimed by Chambers who wins about 40% of the time 1st out after the claim......decent chance to get a nice stalking trip just like last race......which produced a win
7 Edgewick Road  plenty of early speed up front to give this late runner what he needs to put in his best late kick......fairly consistent competitor when he gets the right pace scenario
race 4Â Â Â way below average clarity
8 Unstopper Topper  wide wide open race to say the least.......better grass horse than appears in print....love the cut back in distance and the blinkers on for a speed type.....trainer/rider won 2 races yesterday as a team
9 Madeoftherightstuff  new trainer has put in some good drills into this colt who has 3 of 4 lifetime races that fit fine here including one sprinting on the turf
5 Skully Gully  dangerous 1st timer draws Gomez to ride
3 Ashley's Bambino  another 1st timer that is seemingly working like he is ready......very good turf pedigree.....trainer/rider have been on an extended roll as a combination

7 She's Very Rare   very impressive (5 4 1 0) at the somewhat specialty distance of 7F....E Flores knows this horse well
6 Lutess   good win after the rare Baffert claim of a cheap horse......works hint she might even be better now and yet she runs at the same level
8 Angel Of Mystery  claim back by Marquez who has had success with this mare in the past.....race 2 back is very strong
3 Sizzling Gold  5 wins and 2 2nd's in 9 main track starts in 2011........just claimed at GG by the very capable Vann Belvoir

8 Romeo Royale  this gelding loves the mile turf distance.......training great....and we get a solid jockey upgrade especially for a turf affair....should be prominent from the get go
6 Gab Power  just keeps getting better and better and better and better........
10 Acaffella  very talented laid off Mandella charge is working is if he is ready to roll fresh off of the bench......gets Gomez who fits his closing style quite well
1 Surplus  1 mile looks like the perfect fit.....not an abundance of speed in here....should be in the hunt from the opening bell
race 7Â Â Â average clarity
2 Dust And Diamonds  2 for 2 on "fast" conventional dirt....both of those races were fresh runs.....fresh today
1 Kindle  done little wrong in 3 lifetime races and 2 of those races she started from the often dreaded 1 post....so...the post is not much of a concern as it normally might be
7 Top Debutante  solid move forward in last.......works since at SA are terrific....very dangerous Owens invader
10 Salty Sarah  been facing slightly better....drop can wake her up especially in a 6F affair which seems to be her favorite distance

10 Unzip Me  one of the top grass mare sprinters in the good old U S of A.....and gets 4 lbs off an impressive grass win on the hill in her last
2 Givine  consistent late running grass sprinter will most likely need her very best or a perfect trip to win this
9 Separate Forest  race doesn't have that much speed and this mare has plenty......best drill for this O'Neill charge in quite some time.....feeling good
1 Mizdirection  done little wrong in 7 lifetime starts....last was solid and gets 4 lbs off for today.....Gomez is getting to know this filly quite well
race 9Â Â Â average clarity
7 Ultimate Decision   bad trip in last would crush these if this gelding gets the trip today......proven long.......continues to train like a horse in relatively good health
4 Pleasant Soul  better than appears in print......owns some solid early speed.....has a shot at a loose lead with the light weight app aboard
3 Sidepocket Lou  on the right end of the learning curve.....seems to respond best for today's jockey Joe Talamo
8 Mucho Brave  back on conventional dirt which I believe he prefers.......blocked on the 2nd turn 2 races back or he had a good chance at the circle of joy
10 Tingaleo  takes the plunge from MSW racing to the local bottom claiming level....and gets Gomez
2 Confer   not much in 3 lifetime races but sure is training much better off of the long layoff
