Can't say I am enamored with this race card but I sure studied hard. I leaned on the inside being somewhat biased as that is what we have gotten the last 2 race days at SA.
race 1Â Â Â average clarity
1 Babessa  claimed and freshened up with a solid work series.......like the step up in claiming even though this filly is out of jail.....owns a touch of speed in a race that lacks it
5 My Diane  good layoff run in last....previous race at SA in Jan. was a good effort.....sharp drills since last.....seems to be sitting on a good effort
4 Linda Winz  subtle move forward in last.......2 tightly spaced useful drills.....owns a touch of speed in a race lacking it.....good chance to move forward today
3 Missie Ky I You  logical drop out of MSW (finally!).....Glatt is good 3rd out after layoffs....and that is what we are looking at today
race 2Â Â Â below average clarity
6 Miles Heir  legged up on the turf......sharp recent work.....back on conventional dirt where he fired some strong races at Pen including running 2nd to superstar claimer Rapid Redux
5 Graeme Crackerjack  just keeps getting better and better and better and..........
2 Coo Cachoo  dangerous speed adds the blinkers.....low % jock but not with route speed types
1 Brady Blue Eyes  good chance to chase and get 1st crack at the 2 horse with the hot apprentice up in the irons
race 3Â Â Â average clarity
10 Babeneau  looks like Ellis has picked up a nice maiden claimer.....at least the works say so.......Ellis is good with these kind especially coming off of layoffs
7 Golden Nip  good wake up in latest (1st time blinkers) both final time and pace wise....race lacks speed and she has a touch of early foot
6 Coparcenary  bad trip in lone start for this Taylor charge way back in May at Hst......showed speed in that race and that looks like a good thing here......works hint she is ready
11 Warren's Performer  takes the ever dangerous plunge from MSW racing to the bottom maiden claiming level
race 4Â Â Â average clarity
1 So Belle  best career race was lone run at today's 1 1/8th distance....very solid effort/fig on Top Turf today....Gomez is riding super on the sod
2 Secret Cove  not much bad to say about a filly who has won 4 of her last 5 grass races.....one negative is that Gomez is riding our top pick after 2 straight daylight wins on this horse
3 Thisismystage  in good form and runs all day long......should be finishing well late when others in here might not at the distance of 1 1/8 miles
4 Anniversary Girl  very consistent sort handled today's distance just fine in her only endeavor at it....1st time Bejarano can be a dangerous thing
race 5Â Â Â average clarity
7 Bruno's Wager  just claimed by Hollendorfer and the drills under his guidance strongly suggest he has vastly improved this runner
3 Itssultryinthecape  works suggest this laid off drop down is ready.....owns decent early speed and has a good inside spot to start from
5 Looking For Candy  hidden forward move in last checking early and running wide....horse (and trainer) have a good record on the drop in claiming level and that is what we have today
2 Exclamation  dangerous laid up horse......obviously needed time off after running up the track in last.....race 2 back is very good and would be difficult to beat if he rebounds to it....trainer sure could use a winner
race 6Â Â Â average clarity
11 Sleep Tight  overdo drop as this mare who has been running over her head and doing her best.....faced quite a bit easier today....can be in the hunt from the get go
6 Maya Angelina  solid 1st ever on the sod in last......can build on the learning experience and show even more today......gets a good turf hill rider in Talamo
3 Bella Swan  last sure looks like the tune-up (in a non claiming event) off of the layoff to be full throttle on the drop back into claiming for today
4 Linda Lou  need sure if this one is ready for a rebound effort today but she is a major player if she is
race 7Â Â Â average clarity
9 Hope And Believe   last on the Hol AW wasn't bad......last race on the SA dirt was a very powerful run.....back to the SA dirt today
2 Red Ace  improved races with the addition of blinkers.......and now is training best of his career.....seems ready for a lifetime top
3 Thunder Of Zion  inside speed has been king the last couple of race cards and this colt is very fast early and the most likely to snatch the front end.....how is rail speed doing to this point is the ?
11 Runflatout  owns some powerful races for today's level......tough post if we get yesterday's track....not so difficult if the racing surface reverts back to playing fair
race 8Â Â Â average clarity
7 Tropiluk  solid awakening in latest both in pace and final time.....work tab since is decent
11 Sky Larkin  last on the AW wasn't bad but more importantly has always trained sharply on the SA surface and finally gets to run on it
9 Bertrando Grande  Pender is decent with mc 1sters and this colt trains as if he might be ready in his maiden debut
3 Always The Same  showed some life in 2 races last Spring........work series is decent......seems ready off of the long hiatus from the race wars
1 Mary's App  1st timer with a one solid drill on the morning before Xmas
2 Donnotaurus  work tab for this 1ster seems fairly decent.....might be ready
