Decent looking card today with not one race rated below average and many of today's races could have been rated "slightly above average " if we stilled used that rating.

1 Hadfunlastnight  not the easiest of posts to break from at 6F but owns significant early foot and a good gate rider in Pedroza....believe this gelding can win this with a clean break and a loose lead
5Â Rino UÂ Â best performances seem to be at 6 furlongs......would have won last if not blocked in the stretch.......handles conventional dirt just fine.....seems best of the off pace runners
2 Lockheart  owns decent early speed and if our top pick doesn't break well out of the 1 hole this gelding might get away and wire the field
6 Warren's Bandit   this 3 year old sure is training significantly better the last 7 weeks as if he has maturely quite a bit since his last race on 26 Nov 2011

6 Sudden Ghost  bit of a sketchy work tab but this filly should win this if she is close to the same individual that she has been in her 3 lifetime races
5 Nifty Dream  showed improvement in 2nd lifetime start both pace and final time wise......reassuring work since......decent shot to move forward again
3 Warren's Morgan  fell off some in last.....needs a rebound to her effort 2 back and maybe slightly more
8 Boo Who Who   34 to 1 in mc debut suggests this filly may have needed the race (difficult to say) and might make a surprising forward move today

2 Roman Chic   different horse on the main track with the lead and it sure looks he can get it here
1 Pure Storm  very competitive reliable sort invades from GG....good GG trainer.....handles conventional dirt just fine....can sit in a nice ground saving chase position....last win came turf to dirt....turf to dirt today
7 Saint Cindy  on the improve........good sign Bejarano stays aboard.....decent shot for another forward move.....will need to overcome a tendency to hang in the stretch
5 Ballistic Blonde  fragile declining animal drops again.....sure have been way too many runners vanned off this past week........toss a coin
race 4Â Â Â average clarity
10 Mayor Marv  runs well fresh.......very good work tab for this level......Baffert didn't keep this often laid up horse for nothing....believe will fire a solid race and at his lowest level to date
8 Slam Slew  trainer is hot and usually makes for a very solid team with Bejarano.....last is fairly solid for today's level.......small drop a plus
7 Clue Me In  ultra consistent sort was just claimed by Canani 2 races back and he is often stout 2nd out after a claim....must feel good for his trainer to step him up a notch following a 3rd place finish
2 Star Nicholas  might need more pace than I anticipate here but he should be flying late if he gets it

3 Qatar's Pearl   powerful debut 2 back on firm turf........so so run on good turf.....back to firm today
2 Vibrato's Pearl  13 to 1 in a 6 horse field off of 2 months off for this Sadler charge has gimme written all over it......full throttle today in 2nd lifetime turf race
11 Segway  mom has tossed 3 turf winners from 5 foals......works say ready to roll in MSW debut......difficult post especially for a 1ster or would have been 2nd pick
6 Rocket Train  not much in MSW debut....but he is training better......and the blinkers are on and I would guess he worked with them on...so beware of a Mitchell wake up here
race 6Â Â Â average clarity
1 Izzy Rules  strong last both in pace and final time.....continues to work like an ultra sharp horse......deserves the big step up in claiming price.....trainer has been on a roll
3 Hout Bay  career best (hidden but a horrid trip) was MSW debut 51 weeks ago in lone race on a "fast" SA surface.....fresh that day and her work regiment says ready fresh again today
7 Spectacular Sky  seems to run best with 6 to 8 weeks between races....repeat of last fits fine here....and gets 3 lbs off today
6 All On The Table  competitive sort in all 6 lifetime starts and her 2 races on conventional dirt which were run at Fpx look to be her best lifetime efforts

2 Casper's Touch   1st time Mitchell.....a very good thing........colt is proven off of layoffs....works are stout especially for someone like Mitchell
5 Carbonite   another with a new conditioner who is good 1st time out after he takes over.......horse is 8 for 18 lifetime....lone race on the grass is fine....sharp in the a.m.
10 Details R Sketchy  par like for this level efforts in both lifetime races down the majestic SA hill turf course....should be fit and ready 2nd out after a layoff
7 Let's Do It  yet another with a new trainer who can get the job done and a work series that suggests he is meant and ready for his new outfit

8 Tapizer   quality horse especially when loose on the lead and he sure looks loose here....can chase if need be
7 First Strike  big win in last in 150K stakes at Zia and 2nd place in the race Thirtyfirststreet came back to win easily Thursday as our top pick.....decent shot to get a nice chase position
1 Pray For Relief  sure improved when switched to conventional dirt races......good chance to save some ground on the 1st turn sitting in about 2nd or 3rd
3 Riveting Reason  turf tune-up in last........bombs away if he is ready to run like he did last Feb at SA.....very strong effort that day
race 9Â Â Â average clarity
8 Honeycomb  exits a key race....albeit a race run 2 1/2 months ago.......blinkers on and boy have the works improved....love the 112:1 worked just 1 week ago
5 Mon Coeur  both lifetime races fit and now we get a very positive rider switch....can be in it from the get go
7 Teasing Bernie  takes the ever dangerous drop out of MSW racing into maiden claiming
3 Traweek  last was good but his best ever (and a bad trip hides things) was his lone run on the SA dirt 3 races back.....has as good of early speed as anyone in the field
9 Jamakagoodsense   Walsh 1st timer looks relatively ready to roll
6 Solana Soleil  has some ability but I doubt can win this.....believe best chance is for a smaller piece of the pie
