Good card today. What a difference a day can make. Of course they will still need to run the races but I'm rather sure it will be a good day if we receive our fair share of good trips. Good luck!

race 1Â Â Â above average clarity
5 Trucial State  just missed 1st time blinkers despite being bumped on turn 1 and running very wide....sharp work tab since....step up in claiming says the trainer knows he has a sharp horse
6 Tummel  2 lone lifetime races at SA stand out as his 2 best efforts to date.....1st at a route today but bred to get the distance and Art Sherman has a good history 1st time at a route
3 Declan  dangerous MSW drop down....his trainer has won 6 of his last 18 first time in maiden claiming
race 2Â Â Â average clarity
2 Spirit Rules  didn't appear to care for a two turn racing in latest.....2 previous lifetime races were very stout sprint races
5 Three Vases  very good early speed....shot to get away and wire
6 Points Offthebench  2 nice efforts as a two year old last summer.......very strong work tab for the likes of Tim Yakteen
race 3Â Â Â below average clarity
1 Salty's Brother  1st timer hints at having some early speed and only has to run 5 furlongs to get the job accomplished........mom has tossed two winners from two starters.....pedigree also suggests early quickness
2 Best Be Gone  flashed speed and then stopped in mc debut last....claimed and has 2 nice drills (on a fast track) for his new trainer......lifetime debut was on an off track......dirt should be dry and fast today
6 Pac Ten Wildcat  Baffert 1st timer is training well enough to possible be ready to roll for his debut into the magical world of thoroughbred racing
9 Mr. Newton  has shown good speed from outside posts in his last 2 sprint races......so the 9 hole might be a good thing even in a 5 furlong race where the turn comes up awfully quick

7 Teroda  just keeps getting better..........and better...........and better.........and better.........and that is a very scary thing when the highly successful J Sadler is the conditioner
3 Pick And Pray  major league wake up 1st ever on the grass in last....and a stout turf drill since for his new trainer
2 Talktoomuch  last 2 races down the SA hill are 2 of her very best the last year or so......same rider.....same trainer and probably the same animal
1 Hard To Resist  might be a prep for a route at a later date but then again this filly has run well fresh in the past and is training nicely.....smooth runner should handle 1st ever on the hill

2 Sidepocket Lou  love the late surge in his last followed by two vastly improved works since.....good chance this gelding is feeling really gooooooood
9 Pleasant Soul  good chance to be on or near the lead and that is always a scary thing when an apprentice is winning his (or her) fair share of races
8 Apply  may have needed last.....if so........ then the 50 % drop in claiming price should make this Gaines charge formidable
4 Husky Glory  even running style and the fact this colt is bred to handle route racing just might put this 1st time at a route 4 year in the mix

6 Stormin Proud Papa  excellent history at 6F on conventional dirt tracks rated fast......stellar team the last few months in Rosario/Mitchell
11 Mack's Gold Bullet  dangerous claim back by the more than capable Vann Belvoir.....toss out last....off track city......most of career on fast dirt is solid here
8 Bryan Daniel  good history on fast conventional dirt....has only missed the board once in 9 races on it......just claimed and has a solid 4 furlong drill for his new trainer Hector Palma
10 Edgewick Road  finally back where he belongs and can compete for the win

8 Chosen Miracle  stout sprinter on any surface likes ample time between starts and Hollendorfer shows patience and gives it to him.....so far this colt is a lead type only but my guess is he will chase on the grass if need be
7 Details R Sketchy on the improve so far in 2012 and 2 strong drills in preparation for this affair suggest another forward move is possible for today
6 El Mirage King  seems to be in sharp form and is 2 for 2 on the hill without the blinkers like today.....very small but very capable barn
2 Rauschenberg  strong late runner will be hoping for a strong pace up front......Bejarano knows this gelding well having ridden her 6 of his last 10 races...........a definite plus

12 Si Mar's Dear   earned a solid adjusted for trouble fig for this level with not the best of trips in last.....repeat of that effort combined with the drop of a couple of notches should make this Mitchell charge very solid here
7 Russian Bayou  very impressive in last.....not only had to go 5 wide to win her last but she also had to close from last in a lackluster paced affair
2 Portfolio  good history for this horse route race to 7 furlongs..........route race in last....7F today
6 Lutess  this seemingly in form mare is dropping after the claim for her new to the scene outfit and so far they are 1 for 1 which such a maneuver
5Â Lauren CÂ Â trainer is red hot......but still will need a very good trip to compete for the win with this mare
14 Small But Mighty  clunker in last without a visible excuse......but lookout if this one rebounds.....will be as good as anyone in this group if she does bounce back
