Today's race card is nothing to write home about which often has been the case on Thursday race cards this year at majestic Santa Anita.
For pick 4, pick 5, and pick 6 players I feel good about going 2 deep in the 3rd and 5th races. In the 4th race I think there is about a 90% chance one of my 4 selections will win the race.

5 Jaredella   consistent sort but she seems to be developing into a hanger....but.....she sure catches a soft bunch here......Rosario will need to stay after her in late stretch
4 Oulaoulala  decent MSW debut for a trainer unlikely to have a 1st timer prepared enough to be ready to score in her debut......so....it seems likely a forward move can occur this afternoon
2 With A Miracle  26 to 1 MSW grass debut way back in May suggests this filly wasn't fully wound up that day and yet she still snatched 2nd......training well enough and draws Bejarano for her 2nd lifetime run

1 All Chips In   horse is on the improve......trainer is on the improve.......jock is on the improve
5 Rocket Roan  consistent sort gets weight off today with the hot app aboard.......last win for this gelding came sprint to route which is today's scenario
4 Low Gear Power  another getting a positive rider change.......last race wasn't much but his race 2 back is fairly strong.......seems best running at today's 1 1/16 mile distance
race 3Â Â Â above average clarity
4 Sarasota Sunshine  fired best 3rd out after the layoff last year in March.......3rd out after the layoff once again today....should be prominent from the get go....usually a good thing in condition claiming grass races
1 Five Silver Stars  four straight solid 2nd place finishes all with Bejarano aboard....small drop down should enhance chances at grabbing her 1st win on the sod
2 Cactus Flower  sprint turf mare isn't all that sharp right now but if she is allowed to slow things down to a crawl on the front end she might be formidable down the stretch

2 Dance Thewayyouare  last 2 efforts on the SA main track are solid efforts/figs for the mdn claiming 50K level.......very capable but slumping Vergara shows signs of awakening
7 T J's Stormy Wit  solid mc debut last....claimed by the ever dangerous Sadler.....and owns a good recent 4F work for her new connections
3 Lady Vivien   doubt sharp conditioner Belvoir thought this Emd invader fits in a Cal MSW race so with that stated.....the return race run in late Jan. was probably a tune-up to drop and go in a much more reasonable mid priced maiden claimer
5 Too Five N' Ten   1st timer works like she is ready.....why not run for mc 50K.....only cost $12K as a yearling

7 Salty Sarah  Baffert has won something like 17 of his last 19.....yikes what is this college basketball?......Baffert has another shot at the win column here with this mare that has the controlling speed in this spot....repeat of last run down the SA hill course would be tough here
8 Talktoomuch  lookout here with this slight drop down of Mitchell's....last time back in short rest (Feb 6 to Feb 24 in 2011) this mare crushed her competition down the hill
2 Linda Lou  toss out last.....rank and wide.....race two back on the SA hill grass course was a decent win....back to the rider who brought her home on top that day
1 Missdealornodeal   needed a run in last after being absent for nearly 14 months.......both lifetime grass races (albeit only 5F affairs) are quite good.........back to Bejarano who hasn't missed the board on this mare in 7 mounts aboard her
race 6Â Â Â average clarity
4 One Magical Girl  dueled in decent pace in latest and she was  stuck on a dead inside....hides her effort some.....drops once again.....2 lifetime best efforts were the 2 times this horse dropped in class
5 Purple Starduster  trip from you know where in latest and still only beat by 1 1/4 lengths....smartly steps up a notch....blinkers on....most likely to help her focusÂ
7 Maryjean  selections 2, 4, and 5 are mostly front running types....she is not...might be roaring past them all late
2 Help Me Hannah  put away by the 4 horse in last but.....blinkers on and the recent drills hint that the equipment change has helped
race 7Â Â Â average clarity
6 Chokecherymary  constantly outruns her odds and has handled long/short/turf/dirt/AW....now just has to handle the 1 1 /8 mile distance......only time Bejarano rode her she crushed her opponents
5 Thisismystage  very stout recent turf drills......1 1 /8 miles fits well.....seems to be on the right end of the learning curve
1 Camelia  first in the good old U S of A for this Euro invader....... might be a tune-up for bigger and better things in the near future....or might not be.....tough call
4 Anniversary Girl  consistent sort will need her very best.......especially late......she closes but lacks a killer late kick
race 8Â Â Â below average clarity
8 Tribal Chatter  1st timer for the red hot V Garcia is training up to snuff.....and mom has tossed 5 winners from 5 foals and one of them was a Stakes winner
11 Chilling Command  tossed a clunker in last but has never trained better since that race.....seems poised for a rebound if he doesn't get caught too wide
9 Live The Forth  decent return to the race wars in last....and I sure like seeing that the meets leading rider sticks around to ride her once again.......seems likely to move forwardÂ
7 Arinyes Love  last was poor.....race 2 back wasn't bad........positive rider switch to the hot app after 2 straight low % jocks rode
2 Zenett  good work tab for this laid up Belvoir charge.....owns good early speed and draws Nakatani who sure has been giving many some smooth rides with his mounts
1 Lewkodonia  1ster might be live.....tough call
