race 1    slightly above average clarity

2  Unusual Jazz   last 3 races are par like efforts for today's level and his latest is somewhat hidden by a bad trip......2 for 4 at today's distance of 1 1/8th on the turf...........small field should help struggling capable jock get a decent trip

5  Our Boy Bejamin   blinkers on / blinkers off produced a strong race in the Fall of 2011......same blinkers on / blinkers off maneuver by Jones here as well.....bred and runs as if his 1st ever at 1 1/8 will be a plus

3  Senator Bob   dangerous sort here 1st after the claim by O'Neill........runs bravely when he is loose on the lead and that can occur versus these

race 2    average clarity

1  Ernie Owl   ultra consistent claimer runs 1st out after claim for Richard Baltas.......8 year old is (13 6 4 3) on conventional dirt.......and the gelding gets a major rider upgrade to guide him along

7  Streets of Heaven    another just claimed and who appreciates fast rated "real dirt" (8 4 2 0).......should be running at the leaders in very late stretch

2  Honour The Deputy   fired a very significant effort 3 races back running route to sprint off of 9 days rest.......route to sprint again today off of 7 days rest this time around......hmmmm

4  Format V.

race 3    average Clarity

1  Devious Chic    showed decent pace in two useful MSW sprint turf races.......drops from a key MSW race down to maiden 50K for 1st ever on the main track......pedigree to handle it is rather decent

2  Pyromancer   speed and endurance has been applied to this Headley 1st timer in her a.m. work......Headley and the same owners had a win in yesterday's 1st by new sire Storm Fever who is the daddy of this youngster as well

5  Unbridled Wee   20 to 1 for this Eurton 2nd timer suggests the MSW debut was the final tune-up to tighten the screws and be at full throttle for today in this maiden claimer

7  Julie's Gold

race 4    average clarity

1  Lime Rickey    very consistent grass cutter when last seen was claimed by Spawr way back in late summer.......trained as if he is extremely meant and ready to roll fresh off of the bench.......this gelding must be doing very well for Spawr to jump him up double the claiming price and get Bejarano to ride

2  Arraignment   it is amazing how well runners do in S Cal when they scratch out and run a day or two latter.......this 5 year old scratched yesterday and goes here........another running 1st out after the claim.......Cerin has this consistent sort now and he has won 7 of his last 21 1st endeavor after a claim

5  Diamondsdiplomat   dangerous loose on the lead shot for this Mitchell runner especially if he builds off of his last which was the 1st run under the tutelage of 23% for the meet trainer

race 5    average clarity

6  Single N Loven It   lagged at the start of her last and impressively made up 9 lengths from quarter to wire........and she usually sits much closer.......lookout here if she does today 2nd out after a layoff for the very capable Vann Belvoir

1  Quick Wampum   lead type only might be able to shake free from the 2, 3, 4, & 9 here......seems very dangerous at the abbreviated sprint distance of 5 1/2F if she does

7  Arrinyes Love   kind of goofy the way this filly gets placed up and down the claiming ladder......so.....not that concerned about the drop from 16 to 8K........she should have a good shot here for a visit to the circle of joy if the speed battles it out

5  Cha Cha Latte

race 6    below average clarity

(no. 14 Real Heat has a shot if draws into the field from the AE list)

8  Prospector's Trick   38 to 1 maiden debut says the race greatly needed for this Puype runner.......and the works since are "night and day" better.....grass pedigree is decent.......rather sure ready to compete especially versus a softer field than he faced in his MSW debut

9  Tribal Dude   solid wake 1st on the sod in latest after two dismal races on the dirt.........cut back from a turf route to a turf sprint should have this colt ripe for a good finish down the majestic SA hill turf course

6  Unusual Lover   another who should appreciate the cut back in distance.....and back to the meetings top gun to date in Rafael Bejarano

12  Shining Sone

Long-shot possibilities:   5  Tux  $7K (in May of 2012) purchase sure isn't training like one.........last 2 works are quite stout and difficult to ignore especially considering mom has tossed 2 turf winners from 5 starters

race 7    average clarity

2  Candy Waltz    all 4 lifetime sprint races fit and a couple of the efforts are hidden by poor trips........ran awfully well in last considering he acted up some in the gate......training better than ever since his last.........trainer is hot and so is the rider......believe sitting on lifetime top if he refrains from acting up

6  Prime Number   beat little in last but he did it so easily that he should have more than usual in the tank for today's race......stout a.m. work supports this

3  Whipstock   3 year old versus older awfully early in the year but I like the 5 lbs off a speed horse who seems as if he owns the best early gas here......some shot to wire his elders in this spot

5  Field Report

race 8    average clarity

6  Dreamcatcher   on the right end of the learning curve and greatly appreciates the distance range fro 1 1/8 to 1 1/4........continues to work like a happy healthy and improving horse

9  Fire With Fire   very solid grass efforts in last 4 but hasn't found the winners circle.......so barn wisely tries a new jock today in the name of Garret Gomez

3  Ivanhoe   nice forward move in winning effort in latest the 1st out after the claim for Mitchell.....fits fine if makes another small move forward in this one alw level higher race which is being run at the same distance as his last

7  Huntsville

race 9    average clarity

1  Captain Hadley   strong effort 2 back......not much in last but claimed by Holllendorfer.......white hot rider/trainer combo......9 for the last 15 in the win column and 14 for last 15 in the show column.......seems likely to rebound to some extent

3  Rio Hondo   awfully good work regiment for the hot training R Mandella even for a 1st timer attempting a route of ground in his debut....sure seems meant and ready at 1st asking

8  Sports Report   only needs a small move forward today at this lower level to be able to fire a par like number for the mdn30K level......jockey upgrade should help him get there

10  Dark Red

7  One For Nothing

6  Hawkeye Declan
