Hollywood for Friday 26 April 2013

[private]

Fairly difficult card so I leaned on the inside being good as it was on opening day so as to give us more of a fighting chance. We shall see if the condition of the AW holds for day 2 at Bhp.

Best of Luck as always!

race 1    slightly below average clarity

7  Michailasheartlite    Hendricks is decent 2nd out after the claim like today........rider upgrade.......best synthetic surface is Hollywood's......late runner gets ample pace up front to flatter her late kick

1  Catienus Gold   drops from the sky......flip a coin when it comes to the matter of good health for this Miller runner

3 Democratic Sweep   1 for 1 at Hollywood stepping up from 4K (at Fno)  to 8K last fall.......invader (from LA this time) steps up from nice 5K win here

6  Warren's China Doll    sharp near bullet work hints at a rebound

Long-shot possibilities:   5  Warren's Judy   big move forward winning her 2nd lifetime race........2nd out after a long layoff here

race 2    average clarity

7  Better Bet   showing both speed and endurance in his work regiment....1st timer seems ready to roll for M. Harrington who does well in these early baby affairs

4  Oneandonlyloveman    trainer/rider sure team up successfully with 1st timers that have early speed and that appears to be the case here with this filly just bought by her connections in Jan.

6  Tom Kha   this filly appears to have worked well in tandem with Kitchingman's 1st time starting 2 year old filly who ran 2nd yesterday in filly MSW race......faces the boys here but the connections should know what they have just purchasing this filly in March

8  Time For A Hug     sharp works......mom has tossed 3 winners from 3 starters.....needs clever rider from a tough post

race 3    slightly below average clarity

2  Blazen All Star    best a.m. (on paper) work of anyone in this field.....owns a touch of early speed in race lacking it.......need rebound to race 2 back

3  Willetta   on the correct end of the learning curve and now we get a significant rider upgrade

1  Malibu Love   laid up runner is proven fresh and she draws a good post to use her touch of early gas in a race without much of the commodity.......seemingly appreciates Bhp the most

5  Pay The Cutie     not totally impossible and a good rider with price shots

race 4    slightly below average clarity

1  Royal Tiger    likes a route of ground........handles the Bhp synthetic well........and seemingly never sharper in the morning

2  Include The Cat   very consistent sort on any surface when she runs at the distances of 1 mile and 1 1/16th mile.........the ladder today and she retains Bejarano

6  Roxelana   1st on the AW in the U S of A but handled it just fine in Europe......small move forward in last.....likely will need the same move in the right direction here as well

7  Pink Blossom    dangerous speed and speed was good opening day

race 5    average clarity

5  Master Chef    when Hollendorfer claims a runner and puts vastly improved works into a horse and steps the horse up in claiming he is ever so tough.......and that is the case here

8  Chapman's Peak   6 year old has a great history rebounding......the last 3X this Sadler runner was beaten by 7L or more he won his next start......beaten by 71/4 in last......hmmmm

1  Saddle Ranch   fresh speed can be a very dangerous thing especially with a Baffert runner and that is what we have here......and speed did awfully well on opening day

7  Coo Cachoo    same turf gimme/go situation as 16 Dec / 6 Jan

 race 6    average clarity

4  Trojenna    can sit close up in a grass race that seems set for those close up early.....and the horse gets a jock upgrade .......sharp recent 6F drill at Bhp hints this filly is doing well and will handle her 1st ever on the AW

6  Tiz Midnight   poor exit from the gate for this Baffert runner in her MSW debut last......showed ample ability after the bad start....1st long but bred for it........and my guess is she will show early speed today if she breaks cleanly......and I believe it's a good spot for early speed

9  Thisonesforricky   definitely on the right end of the learning.....fits well here but does have to overcome the outer-most 9 post which is never an easy task at Hollywood

5  Farayya    impressive 6F work since easing on the turf in latest.......hmmm

Long-shot possibilities:   2  Parc Monceau   last seems like a tune-up......Drysdale is rather good 2nd out after layoffs......go today and at a price

race 7    average clarity

1  Saint Loup    men against the boys if this Canani 4 year old brings his "A game"......might even be able to win with his "B game"

4  Vibrato Jazz    scratched out of a great spot in a cond. claimer the other day where he sure looked like he should win the race.....so.....my guess is he is doing awfully well to elect this spot instead especially considering the 1 1/4 mile distance

8  Zackn'mat    blinkers on most likely in hopes of helping this colt sit closer so that his late kick has more meaning as it did in the dead of winter

6  Teafatiller   improving sort.......no shot in only attempt at 1 1/4.....very bad trip.....deserves another shot

race 8    average clarity

10  Whipstock    very strong work series for a trainer like Marty Jones who doesn't push his stock very hard in the a.m........race lacks speed and this fellow might have the most.....speed was good on opening day.......good history on the Bhp AW

5  Appollo Ten   bad trip in last hides a 3rd consecutive solid race at GG seemingly facing somewhat better........invading trainer has a very good record with shippers.....7 furlongs should be a good fit

7  Wild Gray    off since May of 2012 but blinkers off and a new trainer.......works hint this 1st ever in the Dan Blacker barn gelding is ready fresh off of the bench as he was in winning at Hollywood in December of 2011 off of an 8 month layoff

2  Ever Alert   hot trainer.......horse has some speed with a good speed rider aboard

1  Unmarked Bills

3  Crestatorre
