Don't miss out at saving a few dollars ( $4 to be exact) on our special full card selections for Ky Derby day by signing up early. Or save $20 on a great package of 4 special pubs we offer this year. We are calling it Rich Santucci's top 4 race days.

OK card today as on the 1 to 10 scale a 5 1/2.

Best of luck as always!

race 1    average clarity

9  Como Mi Padre   broke poorly and ran wide.......did amazingly well to snatch 2nd.....barn wisely moves this colt up multiple maiden claiming levels.......1st on the sod but bred OK for it........same effort/energy as last with a decent trip and he seems like the one to beat

5  Distillery   most grass experience in the race and the cut back in distance ought to be a plus........T C Baze sure is riding well.......nice reassuring 3 work series since his last

3  Surfer Moon   did show a touch of speed in a dull MSW debut....adds blinkers and puts a speed jock up for his 1st on the lawn which he has a good pedigree for......Ellis has been making all the right moves this meet......guess is we will see this fellow go after the front end making him dangerous

7  Bertrane

race 2    average clarity

1  Morning Line   all three lifetime races on a fast rated dirt surfaces fit well here.....invader is out of the N West and that is a circuit Kathy Walsh knows well....... so..........picking up a runner out of the area should be right up her alley.......well proven fresh......fresh today

6  Maximinus   exits a key race at the same $50K level.......1st time gelding.......seems fairly significant for a horse that already has preformed rather well

2  Papa's Paisley   seems to be improving one baby step at a time........and possibly has never trained better......not impossible here

race 3    average clarity

8  W. Giles   solid forward move in latest this colt's 2nd lifetime start.....broke tardy and rushed some.......rightfully tired late......cut back of 1/2F looks like a positive and so does the switch to a better gate/speed jock

3  Bart The Barrister   Mitchell 1st timer is working well enough to possibly be a dangerous individual especially if things don't go well with our top pick

4  Bright Ocean    1st timer isn't exactly bred well for conventional dirt and the rider is 1 for 30 at the meeting.........but Cassidy is capable with a first starter and this three-year-gelding has twice flashed bullet 3F gate drills.........seems dangerous

5  White Front Freddy

race 4    average clarity

5  Ciao Bella Luna   last down the SA hill fits decently but what we want is this Peter Miller's effort two back which was also down the hill......and the race 2 back is disguised by a bad trip

4  Tribal Spy   10 % jock up but he knows this filly our top choice this gal's latest fits OK but we want is another effort in her past........race run 4 back down the SA hill was a solid 2nd versus open company in a Stakes where she was blocked badly in the stretch.......or she might have won the race.....and that race  produced 2 next out winners

6  Sudden Sunday   on the right end of the learning curve and her work put in just 6 days ago of 1:12:2 (best of 15) hints her lifetime best might occur today.........she will be a solid contender for the circle of joy if it does

3  Oscillator

race 5    slightly below average clarity

1  Wonderful Union   improving Ellis runner......and as well as Ellis runner's have been preforming that is a dangerous proposition........but so far he is a need to lead type and he sure needs to avoid a suicidal speed duel one way or another.........there appears to be an abundance of early speed in here

8  Brave Act   another who is very fast in the early stages and doesn't show many signs of being able to rate......but Bejarano and his magic might handle the scenario

3  Sir Macho   seems likely to get a nice mid pack or stalk position and the race might fall apart in front on him.......last effort was OK but his race 2 back is very solid here......sure like the way T C Baze is riding now

5  Caramuru

race 6    slightly below average clarity

9  Star Act   if regular rider Stevens can get this filly over to at least the two path on turn one I believe this Proctor filly will be tough........she sure has caught stout foes in her last two attempts to graduate

4  Tizmiss   only so so work regiment prior to her MSW debut which was down the hill..........but now the filly is working exceptionally strong for R. Mandella.....that tells me the 6 1/2F race down the hill was needed and that much more can be expected this afternoon 1st time at a route

11  Bird In Love   good MSW debut 2nd in a race down the SA hill.......winner of that race won a Stakes last weekend.........bred fine to get one mile on the sod......would have rated higher if it wasn't for a nasty post to overcome at one mile on the turf at SA......meets top gun up to get the job done

6  Disregarded

race 7    average clarity

5  Let Faith Arise   wide trip in last or might have won the race......appears to be best on conventional dirt and racing at a route ........I sure like her mid back racing style.........and that style is a good fit for a patient rider like Nakatani

7  Iotapa   filly loves SA and seems to be in peak rider/trainer team........just needs to repeat either of her two lifetime route races run at SA and she will likely be battling for the win with our top selection

6  Stanwyck   jockey upgrade Solis to Stevens.......extra 1/16th of a furlong should be a positive..........and her trainer John Shirreffs has quietly had a nice Santa Anita meeting..........not at all impossible here

1  Fiftyshadesofhay

race 8    average clarity

5  Rookie Sensation   strong effort/fig only time this colt ran at 1 1/18th on the sod and he ran the race off of two months rest.........same distance and time off today

2  Di Giorgio   good effort 1st running in the USA in a turf sprint.....better 2nd out in a one mile grass affair......ran close behind much better in ARG at 1 1/4 and 1 1/2 on the lookout 3rd out in the USA at the distance of 1 1/8th

1  Outside Nashville   last couple of efforts fit quite well and retains Bejarano........bit concerned about the distance as he has missed the board at the distance both attempts....stout connections....might deserve one more chance at 1 1/8th

3  Si Sage

race 9    slightly above average clarity

3  Whine For Wine   very strong MSW debut.....repeat of the effort fits solidly and same effort with a less wide trip would make this gelding especially tough

4  K Thirty Eight   another with a good MSW debut showing good early speed and finishing with a decent final time........good speed jock remains up and he is riding significantly better now than in mid Feb when he rode this baby

5  Next Book  solid mc mdn30K debut especially pace wise.......Jones smartly steps him out of claiming....and Marty Jones has been making all the right moves this meeting

9  El Canon

7  Masochistic

6  Durango Flier
