Santa Anita for Wednesday 29 October 2014

Race 1      Average Clarity
7 - Tiz Jolie - Legged up on the turf and takes the significant drop from MSW
1 - Slapshot Man - Other speed to contend with but has the rail and everything Mora puts out there runs. Big work last week
3 - Whoyougonnacall - Came back some after a wide duel, should appreciate the added ground
8 - Kinsale Sailor

Race 2      Slightly Below Average Clarity
3 - Front Range - Nobody would be a surprise in this competitive field, like to go with the "other" Baffert horse in these situations, rates to get the best trip
1 - Yahilwa - Been knocking heads with some good ones and it is very interesting that Raffy lands here
2 - West Riding

Race 3      Average Clarity
7 - Diamond Majesty - Expensive purchase returns from a layoff with strong works and 1st time Lasix, decent turf breeding, expect Pedroza to try to steal it
3 - Masters Circle - Better than it looks debut, been training well for return, love Stormy Atlantic's on the turf
8 - Bolo - Below average turf breeding but has been training exceptionally well for a top notch turf conditioner
9 - Grand Sky

Race 4      Average Clarity
6 - I'm No Patsy - 2nd off the layoff is a return to best distance and surface, works say ready
2 - Siberian Winter - In good form and rates to get a good rail trip, is a bit of a hanger
5 - Silk in Silver - Obvious chalk but a drop off of a win always makes me leery
4- Magic Number

Race 5 Average Clarity
3 - Doctor Susan - Broke slow and rushed into a solid pace in debut, working well since and (in my opinion) a big jock upgrade
7 - Chia Love - Works are solid for debut, particularly the 10/20 spin, trainer strong in all the relevant categories
8 - Inspeight of Us - Another working well for debut and have to respect the Raffy/Mora combination
4 - Partyin

Race 6      Slightly Above Average Clarity
5 - Jackson Sundown - Both turf efforts fit well, should get a dream stalk trip behind the suspect speed 2
1 - Silver Torch - Done nothing wrong in two turf tries, another who should get a perfect trip
8 - Romar Success - Money eater rates to hit board but worth playing against on top
4 - Gallant Charm

Race 7      Average Clarity
9 - Diamond Bachelor - 7f looks to be right in his wheelhouse, lights out works and the return of Rosie
6 - Hopportunity - off seven months since chasing the Derby champ, obvious threat
4 - Kate's Event - loves track and this specialty distance, respect the veteran
2 - Sweet Sunshine
LONGSHOT - 3 Alberts Hope - 2 year old G2 winner totally aginst the bias in return, big chance to light up the board

Race 8      Slightly Below Average Clarity
6 - Signature Cat - Back where he belongs and working like the others are running for 2nd
12 - Notorious - Took action in debut and had multiple trouble, working strong for return and interesting that Fallon takes mount
3 - Zinvor - Inside speed always has a chance
4 - All Around Brown
7 - Hot Lightning
8 - Always Never
