Santa Anita for Friday 5 June 2015

Don't miss out on the best card (outside of Breeders Cup Day 2) that racing has to offer. Belmont has 6 Grade 1's, 2 Grade 2's, and a Grade 3 on a 13 race card.

Cost is $28.50 and the full card selections will be sent in your email about 6 pm central or earlier on Friday.

Decent card at Santa Anita this afternoon. I would rate it a 7 on the 1 to 10 scale. Because of the early post on Saturday and the Belmont card starting so early selections for Santa Anita for Saturday will be posted sometime Friday evening and will include the Belmont Stakes.

Best of luck as always!

race 1    average clarity

5  Oligarch   Stute appears to have made a good claim from Powell as this seven-year old gelding appears to be in good form and is quite deserving of a step up in claiming........(5 2 1 2) in 2015

1  My Secret Affair   just claimed by Truman who is having one of his best years ever (38 13 5 4) at SA so far.......blinkers back on and back to a sprint.....last 2X sprinting at 6F produced 2 solid efforts

2  Boompa   lone deep closer in the race gives him some shot at the circle of joy

race 2    average clarity

6  Savannah Sky   last was par like......race 2 back was very strong running way too wide versus two tough competors who came back to win their next start......and this fillies adjusted for trouble fig was easily better than either two of the next out winners hot Baltas at the helm to boot

4  Holograeme   D'Amato is quite dangerous turf sprint to route dirt with 2nd time starters..........and that is the case here with this filly who owns a pedigree that should appreciate a one mile dirt race

5  Sweeter Thancandy    good dirt works at LA prior to an OK layoff run on the grass in last......solid 6F bullet dirt work since.......1st ever on the dirt today.......a good pedigree for it

race 3    average clarity

2  Diamond Stilettos   best ever and a par like effort was her race 2 back which was the only time she has seen the 1 1/8th turf distance.....rider and trainer haven't won in a while together but might change that here

1  One More    O'Neill runner appears to be the controlling speed in the race as the only other runner with speed is our top pick and she also is trained by O' highly doubt they will duel

4  Royal Temptress    running lines and her pedigree suggest she will run all day long......and she gets to run the furthest of her 8 race career today

race 4    average clarity

8  Rob's Golden Touch      solid wake up in his last his 2nd lifetime start and 1st on the dirt and at a route.......2 good looking and very reassuring 6F drills since.....and a rider upgrade

1  Blame It On Tekela   1st as far as 1 1/8th miles but runs as if it will be a good thing.......seems likely to be in the mix thru-out but she does have to overcome a tendency to hang late

2  Lucky Shoes to Win   needs race 3 back.......recent improved work tab hints we might see it

5  Wild   not much in two lifetime starts but just claimed and with the claim a rider upgrade

race 5   average clarity

1  Housemaker   whole career fits fairly well in this spot.......blinkers off and switch back to Bejarano.......decent a.m. work.......seems likely to fire another good effort

8  Socialized   a few lengths short of par in all three lifetime races.....but nothing a rider upgrade (especially for the grass) can't take care of

2  Katy Drama   consistent sort......seems likely to sit close saving ground thru turn one.....that is 1/2 the battle

6  Betterlethergo   solid work regiment for 1st ever in a maiden seems likely today for a small but capable barn

race 6    average clarity

3  Benesh   useful MSW debut just 2 days ago.......blinkers on and just what you want to see as in one strong bullet drill ......4F 46:1 H best of 98 that worked.....not too shabby for a two year old colt.....believe sitting on a strong move forward in 2nd start

9  Annie's Candy  very impressive MSW debut and he seemingly exited the race in great shape if his two solid works since are any indication

1  Nyquist   expensive 1st time starter is only working so so but he was just bought if March for $400K  so he must have shown his connections plenty of ability

2  Boldly True   Jerry Hollendorfer 1ster is working well enough to be dangerous in his MSW debut

race 7    average clarity

7  Paulina's Love   crushed older in last 1st out for the red-hot Baltas......and the tightly spaced series of 4 works since suggest even better will occur today....and better would be very tough to overcome here

8  Miss Double d'Oro   nice turf sprint win two back.......then ran a soft 1st ever at a route grass fig in last......but ignore the number as the pace was a joke and so slow that a good final time fig was impossible.......this filly did well to close from 2nd to last position

2  Elementar   easy slow paced gate to wire layoff win down the hill in last......should feel great coming off such a stress free run

6  Morning Coffee   expensive $75K claim might be worth it as this filly is on the improve

race 8    above average clarity

4  Newfoundland Gold    in the exacta 9 of 13 at SA.......away since October but Miller sure appears to have him all cracked up and ready to roll fresh off of the bench

7  Parliamentarian   significant awakening in latest....and a sharp 5/8ths drill since......back in less than 3 weeks......seems up for back to back strong efforts

2  Endless Cruise   won despite a wide trip in latest.......Spawr is good at repeating.......should be closing late

1  Gladding   not crazy about another drop in claiming but his last sure fits and is disguised by a bad trip

8  Limited Response    race 4 back his last time sprinting on a fast track fits.......rider upgrade

5  Half Dome Dude     doubt this fellow is fully wound up as the trainer usually gives laid up runners a race but the "dude" fits if he is ready
