Santa Anita for Sunday 11 October 2015

Don't miss out on the 53% savings by purchasing both days of the Breeders Cup at Keeneland on October 30th and 31st. That breaks down to be about $1.50 a race. Deal ends Columbus Day the 12th of October.

Best of luck as always!

race 1    average clarity

7  Hemakesmuheartsing   MC 1st timer has hit the track 8 times to work since 21 Aug and with 5 gate works........that hints he is meant and ready in his MC debut......mom has tossed 3 winners from 3 starters

5  Unbridled Rocket   on the improve and today he runs as a 1st time gelding......when last seen he ran on a 98 degree day showing he can handle the sizzling heat

4  Kelly With A Twist   also is running as a 1st time gelding.....like the break of 51 days off as he had to run off of short rest two consecutive races

2  El Lucero   last race fits........previous 3 do not.......needs a repeat of his latest

race 2    average clarity

5  Fab Four Ever   well spotted to win.......1st time Bejarano........and what I like the most is that he has learned to rate making him versatile and more dangerous

2  Flexible Ethics   claimed by Mulhall and she puts the blinkers on her new shooter..........and the recent drills hint the equipment change has worked quite well.........cut back of 1/2 furlong seems like a plus for this speed horse

1  Myma Lou   woke up in latest following two dull efforts in a row.........repeat of her last might do the trick.....more and she has as good a shot as anyone in this affair

3  Foxy Lover   drop of one level doesn't bother me much 1st out following the claim......1 for 1 on conventional dirt........might be a player here

race 3    average clarity

9  Unbridled Summer    nice forward move in 2nd lifetime race and the effort is better than appears in print as this Bonde runner dueled on a dull rail......impressive to hang on for 2nd.....should be in the hunt from the get go

7  Lindeza   Sadler expensive 1st time starter sure appears to have plenty of endurance and speed put in to be ready to roll in her debut into the wonderful world of thoroughbred racing

4  Instant Drama   good-looking work regiment for this Gary Mandella 1st timer........Gary doesn't send out that many 1st starters but is better than average getting them ready to win at 1st asking

2  Devoted One   yet another 1ster that seems to training well enough to be a factor in her MSW debut

Long-shot consideration:   1  Nanybelle   Armstrong's record with 1st timer starters isn't much but she doesn't exactly get Bob Baffert like stock........nice drills and mom has tossed 4 winners from 4 starters 2 of which was a Stakes winner

race 4    below average clarity

(AE's 12 & 13 are dangerous if either of them draw into the field)

6  Lemon Drop Six   tepid top pick was bet to favorite in MSW (on the dirt) and tossed a clunker.....continues to work like a filly who has some talent......OK turf pedigree.......should be in the hunt from the get go if she does take to the sod

7  Riri   work tab hints that this D'Amato 1ster is ready even tough the trainer hasn't hit the board in his last 10 runners making their debut on the sod........but Bejarano/D'Amato are usually one live combo.........and mom has tossed 2 turf winners from 3 starters

10  Knightwithputnam   love the grass breeding for this O'Neil 1ster who is working well enough to have his 1ster ready to roll........mom has tossed two grass winners from 2 starters one of which was a Stakes winner

2  Dreamarcher   so so debut on the dirt 2 months ago..........decent a.m. work since..........good grass pedigree.....trainer is hot.......might have always been pointed for today........lookout if that is the case

race 5    average clarity

7  Ladies Man   vastly improved since the blinkers were removed.......seems likely to have something left in the late stages coming of a mile affair

3  Anthonysgotsugar   rather good-looking works for this 1st time starter from the Philip D'Amato barn especially considering this is the bottom MC level

5  Xerxes   very dangerous early speed and speed was OK yesterday.......and loose on the lead is where you want a bug boy to be.........as in just hang on and enjoy the ride

4  Son Of Element   big awakening in last at 81 to 1..........fits fine if he builds on the effort

race 6    below average clarity

4  Striding Out   GB invader is working up to snuff for Callaghan.....draws Mike Smith.......and she should handle the 1 1/18th distance......and........quite a few in here will find it a bit far

5  Hiking   double barrel action for Callaghan needs her effort two back.......filly has never run two dull races in a row so a rebound seems likely.......Gary Stevens and his agent think so

10  Circling   1 1/8th seems like a better distance for this Drysdale filly who retains Bajarano.......should be a player in the late stages of this grass race

8  Sweet As A Rose   trainer is waking up and this filly consistently tries hard......would have rated higher if she showed a little more in her two lifetime 1/8th grass races.......a little too flat late.....but then again the trainer appears to be in full go mode

race 7    average clarity

6  Well Measured   SCRATCHED OUT OF THE RACE

5  Kafister   also handles today's 7F distance.......impressive (albeit vs. easier) win in last running wide up on the pace and still was able to win by 4 1/4 lengths.......continues to work like one happy and healthy individual

3  Why Two   public work-out in layoff last........powerful drills since........nice colt last winter.....rebound city today

2  Cautious Giant   horrid trip in last hides an OK route race........claimed by Mulhall and she wisely puts this fellow in a sprint which he appears to want more than a two turn race..........impressive bullet 5/8ths work just 6 days ago

race 8    average clarity

4  Surfside Tiara   not so hot in latest but maybe too tough anyway.........back where belongs........sharp a.m. works strongly hints at a rebound....as does the fact Bejarano sticks around

2  Magnolias In Bloom   impressive MSW debut turf win at Belmont visually for this Proctor 2nd time starter.........very strong drills on the SA dirt hint the change in surfaces won't be a problem

8  Miss Big Stuff   bet hard in MSW and didn't disappoint.........she did start to flatten late though.....so......nice move by Miller to put in a 7F and 6F work since to build her endurance

1  Lemhill Basr   good winning MSW debut at Lrc for this Baffert baby......and she ran on a day it was 98 degrees.....similar temps today

race 9    above average clarity

1  Traiteuse   decent effort 1st out with new trainer Adam Kitchingham.......love the works since........good post and rider.........firmly believe this filly is poised for a lifetime best......very solid here if I'm correct in my assessment

8  Mia's Storm   nice wake up with the blinkers added in last......could have won today's same racing condition if she didn't get blocked about 3L........Baze sticks around

6  My Sweet Affair   rebounded in latest........same effort/energy today with a better trip and a visit to the circle of joy might be doable

7  Ticaboo   dangerous speed type seems to have responded to getting 5 weeks off as her a.m. work if improved.......should be in the hunt from the get go

3  Ivana Beat Yabad   last was OK but likely will need more today.......might feel awfully good as Bejarano rides for the very 1st time on the three-year old filly

5  Housemaker   needs more today.......not impossible to give it 1st following the Truman claim..... if.......the new trainer can improve this filly one way or another
