race 1    average clarity

6  Twirling Tiger   powerful forward move in last and the effort is significantly better than appears in print.......caught wide up on a strong set of fractions and still nearly won......very well bred to take to the sod......retains Gonzalez........7 2nd's and only 1 win is somewhat of a concern

1  Bully Pulpit   only grass race when not wearing blinkers like today is the best effort of this youngster's life and a solid fit here......the race was run sprint dirt to one mile turf.......sprint dirt in latest......turf one mile today

4  Start a Runnin   lone lifetime win was produced the lone time he ran in a route race which was on the vastly improved recent drill.......very good pedigree to handle the turf......believe he is sitting on his lifetime best this afternoon

2  Colour Me Happy

race 2    average clarity

2  Saint Dermot   bad trip in latest or might have competed for the trainer for today and the switch in conditioners sure has improved this five-year old if his recent a.m. work is worth a hoot.....and the step up of a one notch in claiming price seems like a good sign

4  Luckbox Sam   most of his career fits well at today's level......and his trainer is quite prolific 2nd following a claim which is the case today

1  Knock Em Flat   a little too ambitious of a placement 1st out following the Yakteen claim........back to a level that fits better........ (10 3 3 0) at the distance

race 3    above average clarity

3  Foxy Fresh   MSW debut is much better than appears in print.....ran wide up on a strong pace and steadied........and likely wasn't all that cranked up as she went off at 29 to 1.......three 5F works since including a bullet....and drops into high-priced maiden claiming........should be a factor from the get go

1  Oh Great Idea   easily the best of her 3 lifetime races and a solid fit at today's lower level is her MSW fresh off of a six month layoff (especially with an impressive work regiment) makes her dangerous

6  Midnight Swinger   Glatt is decent with MC 1sters and mom has tossed 2 winners from 2 starters......preparatory works are only so so.....but works aren't everything

race 4    average clarity

7  Algorhythmic   solid MSW debut two back which was down the Santa Anita hill grass course.......not much on the dirt in 2nd lifetime start although it is better than appears in print.....back to a race down the hill for 3rd start....should be a major player if she holds form

3  Silver Starlight   lone lifetime race back in short rest which was run two back is her best to date and better than par for today's level.......14 days since her poised for another strong effort

9  Stylistic   best early gas in the field and for a red-hot rider/trainer combo in Desormeaux/Black......will need to be caught and that is tougher than it usually is when the rail is placed 30 feet out like today

8  Rebarules

race 5   below average clarity

2  Take It Easyplease   might be a good claim by Baltas and company as this filly sure has gotten consistent with 3 wins & 4 2nd's in her last 7 races....race two back is very strong and if she is up to that effort I'm not too concerned about her getting another furlong and the two turns

7  Cheekaboo   competitive in all 4 lifetime races and her only race on the dirt was a 4L reason not to believe she hasn't remained in good form.....should be a major factor of the outcome here if that is true

3  Stole a Kiss   another just snatched up at the box in this case by Desormeaux who is a stout 29% with his last 49 1st out following a claim......and he legged up his red-hot bro who sure has been riding impressively aggressively of late.......only lifetime dirt race is decent

6  Almost Reality

race 6    average clarity

6  Shiney Nugget   either of his two lifetime races might do the trick here and I like the rider change......and of late Hector Palma and company haven't been afraid to lose a given horse which isn't necessarily true in the past

1  Cherokee Dynasty   1st couple of lifetime starts fit at today's level but his last does not........believe the fact that Gonzalez sticks around hints at a does his 27 Feb work which is quite strong for Miyadi who usually doesn't push them hard at all in the a.m.

2  Redneck Crazy   both times this Sherlock colt ran a poor race he dropped in class and came back with a good race.....bad race in last......drops and gets a rider upgrade......hmmmm

5  Media Melle

race 7    average clarity

3  Big Move   has run well off of 2 or 3 months 4 months off seem OK......nice races in both lifetime efforts down the SA hill turf course.......1st time on the hill was a solid 2nd in a key race........2nd time down the hill she won for fun......and she retains the meets top gun who rode her in that 3 1/4 length win down the hill

2  Bako Sweets   nice MSW debut win on the main track for this Drysdale with this three-year old filly......pedigree for the sod is better than average....and one of Drysdale's top stats in the twilight of his career is 1st time turf

6  Madame Mousse   1 for 1 down the hill.....fig wise the win wasn't much.......but......her off pace running style fits in this spot that seems likely to yield a fast pace up front......if the race collapses an above par effort might be able to take down this affair

1  Warrenscrystalized

race 8    average clarity

2  Surfing the Menu   nowheresville in lone lifetime race which was run 16 1/2 months ago in a MSW affair........returns to the race wars at the bottom S Cal MC level and with a work regiment that suggests she is meant and ready.....and why not risk her at the bottom MC level as it would take some large you know what to claim her

6  Gymnast Jadie   MSW turf debut sure appears to be a gimme as she went off at 34 to 1 and now comes back at the bottom MC level in two weeks...... and....... with a rider change from a struggling rider attempting a comeback to the meets leading rider.......seems very dangerous

3  Turf Club Queen   only the 4th career race today for this six-year-old maiden but her last was in a fast heat where getting beat by 10L in running 2nd was still a good effort.........seems to have exited the race in good shape as she just worked a best of 22 bullet 4F work 6 days ago at Slr

4  Our Candy Charms

9  Lizzy's Tizzy

1  Sugar Cat
