Best of luck as always!

race 1    average clarity

1  La Boheme   showed speed in three races in GB and would have shown speed in her last her 1st in the USA if not for a poor break from the metal monster.......can sit in good up close ground saving position if she breaks cleaner today.....good rider/trainer combo to get that accomplished

7  Shezroxile   nice MSW debut which was down the majestic SA hill turf course and might not have been fully cranked up as she went off at 25 to 1........she should be fully fit today if that is so.......and she has a pedigree that should appreciate the two turns

6  Exuberante   would have thought this Euro invader would have been beaten by at least a dozen lengths when the race was taken off of the turf as she is bred poorly for the dirt.......she was beaten by 7L and in a fairly fast back to the grass might be a dangerous proposition

4  Lookinforadanger

race 2    above average clarity

1  Sugar Spice   5 wins and a 2nd the last 6 times this speedster raced at the 5 1/2 furlong distance......and it seems significant that she stalked and won in her last.....before that effort I labeled her as "a lead type only".......believe she will stalk our 2nd pick and try a wheel her in late

2  Fast Magoo    needs the lead and should be able to get the lead first out following the Bob Hess claim.....Hess doesn't ride Talamo very often but he wisely leaves him up as he has a decent history with ( 2 wins in 4 mounts) with this five-year old mare

6  Funny Gal   only missed the board once in 8 attempts at today's distance......mid pack runner's connections will likely have their fingers crossed that our top two selections press each other in a strong set of fractions......visit to the winners circle is doable if they do

race 3    below average clarity

2  Mr. Itkins   seems to appreciate 5 1/2 furlongs and his last three efforts at the distance are better than appear in print......and his 5 1/2 furlong race run the last time he raced at SA (four races ago) is very hidden in it's strength......trainer is kind of unknown but capable with a 22% win percentage in 2015/16

6  Moonlight Meeting    like the switch to Kent Desormeaux who owns 2 of the 3 wins this gelding has produced......last is much better than appears as he left the gate about 2 slow and ran wide on the turn......and he takes a 2 level plunge in claiming

3  I B Mike   talk about hot at the windows......looked more like a 10 to 1 on paper and went off as the 7-5 favorite and showed early speed which he hadn't shown since he steps up......what do we get today?.........maybe the betting will tell the story

race 4    average clarity

3  Fourth Watch   nice turf sprint win in debut and this filly is bred to appreciate a turf route even more.......Gaines is a stellar 24% win with runners coming off of graduation day and even better than that with turf gradutes.....seems like a major player

1  Nine Point Nine   on the improve and she has the pedigree to take to the sod in her first race on it.......if she does she seems likely to grab the front end and with a solid bug boy in Lopez and with his weight break of 5 lbs

9  Right There   another trying the grass for the 1st time who has a good pedigree for it.....filly has a good record when not racing in Graded Stakes races (4 1 1 2).......not out of this by any means

2  Wishful Winking

Long-shot consideration:   4  Mrs. Norris   bad post in her last her 1st on the sod led to a bad trip.......didn't do too badly as she still beat 5 of 9 foes........better post and a new jock........not impossible with a good trip

race 5    below average clarity

11  Gramsson   blocked in the stretch or would have graduated in his debut which was also at today's MC100K level.....nice reassuring a.m. work sine.......should run well again and hopefully not get caught too wide

4  Brown's Baby Boy   Eurton is only 2 for his last 45 with maiden claiming 1st time starters but this colt's a.m. work is too good to ignore......and Peter Eurton has been awfully reliable over an extended period of time with his stock when they show good a.m. work.....and he gets Mr. Bejarano to ride

6  Irish    over-bet in his 1st two lifetime starts as he has only run so so ......been away since mid August and returns as a 1st time are good as is the win % for Dollase the 1st time he runs a horse in a maiden claimer.......dangerous

3  Bedeviled   Keith Desormeaux has this three-year old colt working as if he is ready for his MSW debut.......lack of gate and speed building works suggest this youngster will likely come from off the has tossed 3 winners from 3 starters one of which was a Stakes winner.....and I almost always like when Kent rides for his brother

Long-shot consideration:   1  Midnight Harbor    55 to 1 for Hollendorfer 1st starter (when was the last time we have seen that) strongly suggests the race was a gimme....and the works since the debut are night and day we get to see what this youngster has

race 6    above average clarity

8  Kay Kay   won her lone race way back in June in a MSW affair at GP.........returns in the Cerin barn and the works showing are the best that I can recall for a new shooter for the veteran trainer.......he likely has a good handle on the filly and that is especially dangerous considering he is having one of his better SA winter meets in recent memory

2  Bellamentary   done little wrong in 2 lifetime starts and continues to train like a happy healthy individual and for one of the better trainers these days in S Cal in Phil D'Amato......seems highly likely to be a major player

3  Treasuring   hard trying sort could have broken thru today's nw alw level if she hadn't been boxed up on the turn and stretch in her last......might have plenty in the tank for today as she never had much chance to put it into high gear for the last couple of furlongs......seems plenty dangerous

4  Instant Drums

race 7    average clarity

7  Dreamologist   very good history with Prat who has amassed 3 wins in 4 mounts for this Richard Mandella four-year old filly.......1 for 1 on the hill......and most importantly she sure appears to be lone speed in this spot

8  Tesalina   this Wesley Ward five-year old mare ships in off of some outstanding a.m. preparation at Pmm.......and when Ward teams up with Desormeaux it signals a very "live" runner......rather sure this gal should be finishing fast late

4  My Year is a Day   poor trip at a mile on the turf in last (mostly caused by one difficult post in which to start) hides a decent effort......... D'Amato filly did awfully well in France racing at about 6 or 7 furlongs on the grass (4 2 2 0)....that bodes well for her taking to the SA hill grass course

2  Kool  Kat

race 8    average clarity

6  Crushin Candy  set an extremely fast pace for the given level and still hung on for 2nd.......same effort with a full furlong less to negotiate seems likely to make her one tough filly to wheel in this spot

3  Rickles   away since August but training as if she is ready fresh off of the bench.......and if she is fully ready she seems likely to get a decent ground saving stalking trip.....Sherlock is having a good SA meeting better than his over all record indicates

4  Mr. Congrats   MC debut was decent for this Miyadi colt.......the kind of effort that if he benefited from the race he should be a major player this afternoon

8  Mr. Stoner

2  Big Guy Benny

5  Outofmyhands
