Best of luck as always!

race 1    average clarity

2  Rocky's Show   trainer does decently with limited starters.....and two training categories which apply here for him are strong....1st time in claiming and with shippers.........three year old ran a 109:4 at Tup in March......don't see anyone in this three year old field capable of that in early March......speed horse gets a good speed rider in Pedroza

1  Mr. Hale   not eligible to be claimed in his layoff last and going off at 33 to 1 odds screams gimme.....to cut claiming price in half...... and.....go go go go...... with some doubt in the minds of those looking for a claim

5  R Cha Cha   needs a rebound to his effort two back and he could take down this race......but his trainer seldom does much these days.....not impossible but easy to make as our 3rd pick-a-rue

race 2    average clarity

7  Madera Time   how about a Brinkerhoff double as he also trains our top choice in race one......four year old gelding invading from Tup seems well spotted in a bottom level MC.....outside stalker had a field day yesterday.....if we get a similar track today his chances are enhanced

5  Red Carpet   tough trip in latest hides his last some....doubt the red-hot bug boy gives him another poor ride as his confidence is building as is the quality of mounts that he is and will be receiving

1  Ralph Jacobs   better drill since his so so MC debut for Marty Jones and company.....that and the cut back in distance might make him a factor here in this abbreviated sprint of only 5F

3  T's Place

race 3    average clarity

7  You'll Be Lucky   wide trip in his last disguises a 2nd straight decent effort down the SA hill considering today's level of racing.....and quite the change in riders to one that is struggling badly to the most successful bug boy on the grounds and his 7 lbs break......good rider/trainer combination in Roman/Belvoir

2  Westwood's Wizard   solid forward move getting back to a sprint following 3 straight routes....that dirt race sure fits solidly here and he seems as good racing on the sod.......should be a player

1  South Americain   last was very poor....but.....plenty of time off to right the ship and he sure finished off his preparatory work for today's race with an eye-popping 58:4 bullet work at SA.....and gets 1st time Bejarano....believe a rebound is in the cards

3  Go Ghetto

race 4    average clarity

4  Desert Madam   what a great spot for an easy win even with the 131 lbs weight assignment if she returns fit and ready off of a 1/2 year layoff......she towers over these to say the least

1  Private Terms   should sit 1st or 2nd to our top selection in good position.......seems like she might be at the mercy of how fit our top choice is in her return to the race wars

2  Sidepocket Run   pounded at the windows especially considering she was competing off of a long layoff.......did not disappoint....but she will need a strong forward move today......4 lbs off today should help

race 5    average clarity

5  Gotnoquit   both lifetime races down the SA hill grass course are slightly better than par for today's MC level......only one work-out since his latest run on May 4th but it sure is a good one....as in a bullet best of 56 4F work at SA........cold last 6 cards for Talamo (0 for 18) and with some decent mounts......shot to break the ice here

2  Irish Goodbye   decent return to the races in his last off of an extended layoff.......that effort down the hill would likely come up a little short here but he should be tighter for today's 2nd start following the 8 month hiatus.....should be closing fast in the late stages of this 6 1/2F grass race

1  Captain Ron   away since a good MSW debut at GG in January.....seems a little suspicious that he is in for a tag especially entered for 40K (to take weight off or entice a buyer) as he is bred to love the grass and yet he is not in a MSW affair......but if my suspicions are all wet.....lookout

6  Clifton Beach

race 6    average clarity

2  Schulace   new sire might get off to a good start as this Machowsky two-year old 1ster is training awfully well and the trainer is firing on all cylinders of late......and he draws the attention of Bejarano and his agent

8  Drama Is Overrated    Myadi doesn't usually push them too hard in the a.m. and yet this two-year old gelding just worked a near bullet 4F gate work.....mom has tossed 3 winners from 3 starters and two were winner at two......hot bug boy up (who won 3 Sunday and won 3 yesterday)

7  Hit the Seam   trainer is polar cold but this 1ster is a full brother to a couple of impressive runners.....and mom has tossed 7 winners from 8 starters most of which won at two......hard to ignore this Cal-bred's potential

3  Lucky Pegasus

Long-shot consideration:   6  Time for Cioppino   toss out debut in the slop on the 6th on May.....two quick 3F works since....all set to show what he has this afternoon

race 7    average clarity

7  Mr. Opportunist   always thought that this fellow would take to the grass in a big way and he finally gets to run on it....and.....his best race of his career by far (and a solid number here) was when he entered in a grass race and it was moved to the dirt....in other words Sadler had him on edge for that day....and likely has once again today

3  Boozer   very nice record down the Santa Anita hill grass course but he hasn't won on it since Feb of 2016......and his a.m. preparation for today's layoff run isn't that impressive....still....it is hard not to respect his stellar record down the hill (10 4 3 2)

6  Bombard   just popped his lifetime best and it was off of a layoff and down the hill....back in short rest and retains Prat.....might be up for even more 2nd out after the layoff....fits if he is

1  Coastline

race 8    average clarity

1  Gato Dulce   believe this sprinter trying a route for the 1st time will go after the lead and try to wire.....Glatt is better than average 1st time at a route......and this four-year old owns a good pedigree to get the 8 furlongs and the two turns......and a nice bullet 5F work showing

6  Picture Tube   very strong races for the given level the last two times this gelding was placed in a routes........back to one today following two straight 7F sprints.......does tend to hang.....bug boy best be aggressive late

7  Phantom Shine   very impressive bullet work to finish up his work regiment for his new trainer ........the red hot Mike Machowski......like our top choice he likely will sit on or near to the lead

2  Parched

4  Vow's Son
