Best of luck as always!

race 1    average clarity

5  Bellerin   solid 1st on the turf two races back.....then he had a very bad trip in his next since his 12 Nov turf race are very impressive.....not my favorite grass rider but he will have to do

1  Indocrination   exits the same 12 Nov race as the top choice where he ran a par like number for the MSW level when you adjust about 4L for running wide........good post and a hot rider/trainer combo (3 for last 6)......hard not to like/use

7  Gosilently   east coast turf invader has some early gas and is also capable of running just off of the pace.....and he gets a significant rider upgrade for his 1st western endeavor.....dangerous sort

2  Maestro Dearte

9  Combat Zone

4  Taniko

race 2    average clarity

4  Topaz Time   both races with the blinkers on fit and her latest run which was off of a long layoff is disguised by a wide trip pressing the pace.......she has been absent for 8 weeks put has put in 5 preparatory drills since......seems best taking back some and with the new rider.......and I believe he will do just that

2  Soul Sound   laid up since Sept. 16 but returns with a more successful trainer at the helm ........last time she saw the dirt she popped her lifetime best and that effort sure fits well here

5  Del Mar Diva   1st time in a maiden claiming race and finally gets to run where she trains/resides.......gets a subtle rider upgrade......not out of the win picture by any means

race 3    average clarity

1  Curly's Rocket   useful MSW debut for this Baffert 2nd time starter who since his 21 October race has trained markedly better......might get ignored somewhat with quite a bit of the betting going on the other Baffert horse who is our 2nd choice

3  Botero   last 4 of 5 drills for the Baffert 1ster are gate drills indicating the stout conditioner might mean business 1st out of the box with this well-bred three-year old colt.....we shall see about 1:30 this afternoon

7  Core Beliefs   Peter Eurton 1st time starter also appears ready to rock and roll in his debut into the wonderful world that is thoroughbred has tossed 3 winners from 3 starters......seems dangerous despite the trainer usually being more dangerous with 2nd time starters

5  Nero

2  Jimmy Chila

race 4    average clarity

5  Twentytwentyvision   declining sort to some degree might wake up for his new barn 1st following the claim.....Desormeaux and his agent think that he will........7 year old with only 20 lifetime starts likes the distance.....and likes the SA turf course

7  Unapologetic   seems to appreciate the SA turf more the last year or so than he did in the past.....trainer is hot to start the meet and he sure has had a good handle on this five-year old since he claimed him 8 races back

6  A Red Tie Day   race lacks speed and that might play into the hands of this Baltas eight year old who has some and a stout turf jock in Nakatani to guide him along

2  Hayabusa One

8  Royal Albert Hall

3  Prince of Arabia

race 5    average clarity

7  City Steel   a ton in this spot if this gelding is still OK considering how much he is dropping.......his last two races are very strong and the last effort is disguised hint he is OK physically and hey..... he is 8 why not drop

3  Mr. Shook   another dropping significantly.......maybe Jerry H is hoping not to lose him as he might be trying to get him eligible for any "starter alw or starter hcp" races down the road both in S Cal and up north

5  Lindante   seven lbs bug boy Cesar Franco rode this fellow nicely to victory in their latest and Stute places him realistically following the cond. claiming win......not out of this especially if the questionably health of our top two picks winds up being of the negative side

2  Freddies Dream

race 6    below average clarity

7  Moonlight Drive   best by far on the SA hill turf course and one of his two lifetime races on it is hidden by a bad trip.......Van Dyke gets the call and he sure has done a nice job when riding for Baffert ......and .......Van Dyke often is at his most impressive riding on the hill

10  Elwood    away since late August but he is working as if he is ready fresh off of the bench for Hollendorfer and company....and if he is he has a good spot to utilize his speed as there is a lack of it in this affair and he has a top turf rider in Bejarano up

3  Zuri Chop   very consistent for Cerin and company (5 2 2 0 on the turf) since the conditioner snatched this fellow up by way of the claiming box.........hard not to consider

2  Doc Curlin

8  Secreto Primero

11  Clever Royal

race 7    average clarity

10  Lambo Luxx   somewhat alarming drop following a win but I doubt the sought after Edwin Roman and his 5 lbs weight advantage would stick around if he and his agent didn't believe this gelding was sound enough to run well today

6  Bargaining   six-year-old gelding responds well to contact with the front end and he seems likely to get that today.......there really are only 3 in this field that I would label as speed horses.......trainer Jose Avalos is 31% win with 72 starters in 2017/18

2  Ajac   seems to be making a rebound in form and he has run well on the SA dirt in the past........last fits.......and if he moves forward once again he is rated too low

9  Fueled by Bourbon

4  The Natural

7  Private Prospect

race 8    average clarity

2  Majestic Heat   six-year-old mare sure has taken to conventional dirt racing in a big way with two wins in two lifetime dirt races.....and it is quite impressive that one was in a sprint and the other in a route and at two different tracks......both races fit solidly here if she runs as well in her 1st on the SA dirt

3  Mended   best early speed in the race is trying to make it 11 straight wins this afternoon and the last of those races were with good speed rider Richardo Gonzalez up.....seems quite dangerous

1  La Force   very solid race 3 back which was run off of 3 weeks rest.......back in 4 weeks this go around will do........should be able to stalk the lead saving ground in what shapes up as an affair where you will want to be close up early

4  Mopotism

6  Resky Business

race 9    average clarity

9  General Ike   yet to win since Glatt claimed so he is willing to drop below where he claimed him for 5 races back....and Glatt is quite dangerous with multiple level drop downs.....and with the drop he is able to coax Desormeaux to ride

8  Coastline   suspicious drop of 4 levels of racing but maybe the trainer (and of course the owner) is a little tired of the slow start to 2018 and would like to get that winning filling back.....or the again......maybe they they are silently screaming "please let him get claimed"

10  Johnny Reb   seven-year old was just claimed by Hollendorfer at GG in a 25K claiming race like today......and this gelding appears to like conventional dirt more than synthetic dirt and he just ran 2nd by a nose at GG on the AW.......hmmmm

1  Airlite

7  Bourque

4  Highly Acclaimed
