Best of luck as always!

race 1    average clarity

3  Bakersfield Sound   dangerous looking prolonged work series for this Neil Drysdale MSW 1st timer whose mom tossed 2 winners from two starters and both were Stakes winners.....and both won on the grass......good grass rider in Van Dyke gets the call

2  Minister's Glory   just popped his lifetime best with 1st time Prat in the 30 March version of this race......would have made the top pick if it wasn't for the fact he has finished 2nd three straight races and yet to go by at any point in his 6 race career........wouldn't classify him as a hanger quite yet but he might be

4  Jersey's Heat   gelding seems to fit Pereira best and the jockey remains up today following a strong lifetime best for this three year old in his latest ........that and he appears razor sharp putting in the best drill in many a moon and doing so only 6 days ago

10  Faversham

9  Tatar

5  Ultimate Bango

race 2    average clarity

3  Majestic Journey   solid sprint tune-up in his latest and its relative strength is disguised......useful reassuring 6F work since........lifetime best was the only time this four-year old competed at today's 1 1/6 distance

7  Williston Dude   last is significantly better than it appears in print.......gelding ran wide thru-out and did so up on the pace......did extremely well to wind up 3rd.......apprentice can do better as he seems to be getting better the last couple of weeks including to front end wins yesterday......we shall see

5  Skagit River   lifetime best by far was his lone route race run last December.......so with that in mind his layoff last appears to be the gimme to tighten up and go go go at a distance that suites him

8  Spend It

2  Defense Minister

race 3    below average clarity

6  Excitations   Excitations is giving me good vibrations as his a.m. work is very sharp following a bad trip 5th in his latest.......only mount of the day for Smith supports the notion this guy is fit and ready to roll

2  Touching Rainbows   laid up since early September but sure is training as if he is ready fresh......that and he is a stellar (4 3 1 0) in fast track sprints.....and 4 for 5 with Prat on his back.....hard not to like

4  Quality Line   trainer has had one nice rebound year and his five-year old gelding is stout racing at 6 1/2 furlongs or less at SA with a record of 3 wins and a 2nd over his last 4 races racing at 6F or 6 1/2F

race 4    average clarity

7  Jeweled   not crazy about horses that get claimed from Baffert when he drops a given runner way down like this filly but she won ever so easily at 1 to 9 and did so having to only run 5 furlongs.......doubt Sadler will get very many good efforts out of her in the long run but I obviously believe he will today

3  Palace Paynter   strong layoff run in latest on the drop from MSW to MC30K and few reasons not to believe she won't fire another solid effort today.....like our top choice she should be in the mix from the get go

2  Lucky Val   very impressive MC20K debut earning a better adjusted Santucci fig than our top two selections........she overcame a bad start and had to cope with a soft pace up front and yet she still came roaring home......new trainer today in K Walsh for 2nd career start......if this was 4 or 5 years ago I would have this filly as the top pick.....but.......Walsh has struggled the last 3 years

1  Atrevida

race 5    average clarity

6  Factorofwon   big improvement in her latest with the blinkers taken off which was run in the 30th of March version of this race.......and the strength of the effort is disguised by about 4L of trip trouble

1  Special Purpose   SCRATCHED OUT OF THE RACE   best turf credentials in the race by far which were earned across the pond in Great Britain......been away over 1/2 year but is working well enough to be ready to compete at a high level in her 1st in the good old U S of A......solid trainer/rider at the controls in Callaghan and Nakatani

3  Slick Trick   owns very solid turf route speed and that often equates to a potentially a strong race down the SA hill grass course in the next start.......only race down the hill was run 3 back in her MSW debut and the effort is par like for today's higher level and hidden by a tough trip-a-rue

7  Lexington Grace

4  Best of Me

8  Ms Dupree

race 6    below average clarity

2  Rocket Fuel   Cal-bred has been on the rebound since the blinkers were put on four races back.......might be a good claim by Jacobson and the trainer is now living up to his east coast reputation after a slow start in California for his barn

6  Shades of Victory   trainer has made very good use with his limited starters at SA and is especially dangerous 1st out following a claim........and he has gotten his new shooter to put in two solid drills at LA since his 7 April race at GG........and he is 1 for 1 on conventional dirt

11  Eighty Three   double barrel action for Jacobson as he also conditions our top choice......most of this highly consistent east coast invader's races fit solidly here considering today's significant drop down........if of course his good health hasn't changed much

4  Gonna Fly Now

9  Tough But Nice

5  Midnight Bolt

race 7    average clarity

6  Stormin Monarcho   the reincarnation of Mike Mitchell?.......no just an extremely tight (every 4 day work intervals from 31 March to 20 April) put into his eight year old by David Jacobson.......wound up like a top and ready to unwind........1st out following the claim.......very dangerous even on the step up of 3 claiming levels

1  Allaboutaction   another running first after the claim in this case for Richard Baltas.......last two races are very nice wins both with the addition of the blinkers.......works since the Baltas claim hint he has a decent chance of firing another strong race

7  Street Vision   another dangerous first out following the David Jacobson claim.......and his top go to guy the last week or so Martin Pedroza is up

5  Hollywood Angel

4  Jan's Reserve

race 8    above average clarity

2  Huddle   very solid forward move in his 2nd lifetime race and 1st in a turf route.......in the race this colt set a very fast pace and still was beaten only 2 1/4 for the win while ducking in some......blinkers on to help his focus.......seems to have caught a soft bunch of foes.....should be tough

9  Celturian   believe his MSW sprint debut was the tune-up which only a race can do sometimes to be more fit in his 1st at a route and the turf.......Hendricks is decent 1st on the grass and much more than decent 1st at a route......may have always been pointed to today.......we shall find out

8  The Hunted   sure like the pedigree to take to the sod for this R Baltas 1st time starter........mom has tossed 3 winners from 4 to start and all three were able to win on the grass........dangerous.......if not now maybe in his 2nd start

3  Clyde's Pride

4  Acclimate

6  Boogie
