Belmont is only 2 weeks away and our special pub with full race card selections and comments will soon be available for purchase at a discount for a few days.

Best of luck as always!

race 1    below average clarity

2  Clyde's Pride   impressive one mile grass MSW debut stalking and briefly pressing a hot pace.......he had a good chance of winning until he ducked out a couple of lengths in the stretch.......handling 9 furlongs is a question mark as it is for every one of these Cal-breds

1  Minister's Glory   seems likely to get a nice ground saving mid pack trip at least thru turn one........not too crazy about his pedigree to want another furlong of turf or would have been top pick

6  Gold N Bold   only 4-year-old in the field.......that might be an advantage at getting the 9 furlongs of turf offered here

race 2    above average clarity

3  Data Storm Kitty   very nice and numerous preparatory drills for this 2 year old 1ster.........Jeff Bonde wins his fair share of these early two year old maiden races

5  Toothless Wonder   not really that wound up in the morning prior to his MSW so he likely needed the race........if that is true look for him to make a solid forward move today

2  Synthesis   Keith Desormeaux doesn't usually push his youngster's very hard in the morning in preparation for their 1st start but he has with this filly who faces the guys today.........strong bullet 4F best of 69 gate drill one week ago

race 3    above average clarity

4  Meal Ticket   bad trip and no pace to close into two back.......then in her latest she really matured running a very strong time....... and she sure came home impressively to graduate in style.......Stevens gets the call with Baze sidelined

6  Mraseel   lifetime best race in the USA was her lone race around two turns.....that one mile grass race run 3 races back at one mile on the grass run on 10 March is better than par for today's level and disguised by a bad the switch in riders when you consider the 7 lbs off

1  Tell Me More   consistent sort will likely need a forward move in this spot if either of our top two choices fire the race that I think they will........that's not an impossible occurrence when Peter Miller is the trainer

race 4    average clarity

5  Our Slick Chick   over the years Hollendorfer is ever so tough when he drops a MSW into a MC........and the work regiment for this laid up filly says it is all systems go today

3  Tapalita   Hendricks is ice-cold but might jump-start things here with this filly running turf to dirt today.......and her dirt race 2 back is solid considering today's lower MC level

7  Mongolian Rahy   trainer Piccioni sure improved this filly following the claim.......the race is better than it appears in print.....likely exited the race in great shape for the trainer to step his new runner

4  Diamond of Value

race 5    average clarity

4  Siberian Iris   very surprised that Richard Mandella hasn't put this filly in races at 9F or further as her lone race running as far as 9F stands out as her best by quite a bit......pedigree suggests that today's 10F will be even better

5  Tammy's Window   pedigree suggests 10F might be longer than she wants....... but .......the way she in which she finished in her latest at the distance of 9F hints 10F will be OK for her......we shall see

2  Dhafeera   four year old filly ran fairly well vs. the boys at about 1/16th less than today's distance and it seems noteworthy that she did it in her MSW in France......rather sure the mini marathon distance will be a plus for her

race 6    above average clarity

1  Saint Tropez   Miller is never afraid to drop a horse significantly off a long level.......that and also he likely has been lured into the drop to take advantage of this abbreviated sprint of only 5F as his filly doesn't look as if she wants to run very far

8  Baby Brown   good MC debut two months ago at 5F......claimed by Morey in the race and he has her very sharp for her 2nd lifetime start.......wide moves on the turn in sprints have been OK the last two if that remains the same the 8 post in a 5F race might not hurt her at all or much

3  Cooper Cowgirl   another who drops and should appreciate the 5F distance........trainer is win-less for 2018 but has impressively hit the board 71% of the time

9  Calimonco Action

7  Cheyenne Dancer

race 7    average clarity

2  Ahimsa   ran a strong 1st on the SA hill in her latest 30 days ago........seems highly likely to get a nice stalk or lead position similar to her last race.....does lose Prat not riding at SA today but gets another top-notch grass rider in Nakatani

7  Special Purpose   rather sure that this laid up GB invader is more than ready to roll for Simon Callaghan and company as she has been working steadily dating back to February........and the trainer is a solid 18% with "shippers" to the USA

3  Cute Knows Cute   wide trip in latest and still won in her last which was her 1st down the SA hill.....that race was vs. easier so she will in all likelihood have to move forward off of the race to win today......rider upgrade to Desormeaux should help chances of getting that forward move

6  Factorofwon

race 8    average clarity

5  Marley's Freedom   Baffert's new (used to be Hess) four-year old filly has never been sharper both in the afternoon and morning.......repeat of her last has a very good chance of winning.....and considering Baffert takes over she might be up for even more

4  Miss Sunset   very consistent sprinter and she is a perfect 3 for 3 at today's distance.......part of her consistency can be attributed to her ability to win on or off of the pace

3  Yuvetsi   scratched out of a softer spot for this G3 race so this filly must be doing awfully well......and she better be as our top two selections are tough cookies

race 9    below average clarity

2  Hollywood Square   bet fairly hard in his MSW dirt debut way back on November 1st but didn't run well at all.....but he returns in a turf race with a good pedigree for it and with a solid set of works at Slr .........strong connections.........seemingly deserves another shot

4  Jimmy Chila   double barrel action for O'Neill as he also trains our top pick.......colt has shown he can handle the hill but he likely will need a little more today than he produced in his last

5  Data Central   showed he can handle the turf in two lifetime route grass races last summer.....he has been away since August and returns in a turf sprint.....tough to tell if this is a full-blown go or a sprint turf tune-up for a route race in his next......we shall find out about 4:30 pacific time

9  Brighton Bay

3  Breakers Isle
