Santa Anita for Friday 12 October 2018

Don't miss out on the 25% savings by purchasing both days of the Breeders Cup at Churchill Downs on November 2nd and 3rd for $26.25. (Breeders Cup races only. 5 two year old races on Friday and 9 three and up races on Saturday) Deal starts soon and will only last for about a week.

OK today and Saturday but Sunday's at 1st glance seems rather dismal.

Best of luck as always!

race 1    average clarity

6  All Tea All Shade   exits a fast heat of MSW fillies with a bad trip earning an adjusted for trouble number that is about 3 or 4 lengths behind what it takes to win today's lower level......that and her a.m. work is better suggesting her debut tightened her up some

9  She's a Dime   moved forward in her latest her 2nd lifetime start.......gets a rider upgrade.......if she manages a another move in the desired direction she should be a major factor in the MC50K affair

8  Superhotamolly   flashed solid early speed in her 2nd lifetime start and tired but that made sense as she ran on dull inside......bug boy has been doing a good job with speed horses of late......dangerous sort if she gets away early

5  Rolinga

3  Alystar

race 2    average clarity

1  The Creep   very solid 1st at a route in his last to graduate......solid a.m. work that he stepped up in class in last and that does it again here.......he seems be improving fast and very sharp.......should by flying late

5  Give Me a Hint   crushed in her MC debut and she has trained since as if she will run even better this afternoon vs. the boys........Hess and Stevens team up again just as they have in the 1st race with our top pick

2  Oracle of Omaha  SCRATCHED OUT OF THE RACE  solid 9L win in latest 1st time as a gelding and 1st on the dirt........two year old has a fairly good chance to grab the lead in this spot and if he does that should enhance his chances of getting his 2nd straight win

race 3    average clarity

6  Bahamian   showed a liking to the turf in his latest........both lifetime endeavors racing at today's 6 1/2 furlongs (albeit on the dirt) fit well here......1st racing as a gelding......and 1st ever in a MC........and trainer Simon Callaghan is 38% & 72% in the money with his last 38 making the move and even better than that over the last year......that'l do

9  Capall   toss last as he wants no part of the dirt.......all four of his lifetime grass race fit fine in this spot and three of them were at today's 6 1/2F down the hill

10  Silver Fury   lifetime best was run 3 races back and might do the trick here......though I believe he still might need even a little more vs. our top two to graduate

3  Rumpus Cat

1  Data Central

4  Seahawk Wave

race 4    average clarity

3  Giveherdalute   works prior to her MSW debut were good but not as strong as the typical Baffert 1st time starter........aggressive tightly spaced works since.......likely to move forward and be tough this afternoon

5  Johansson   SCRATCHED OUT OF THE RACE  solid forward move 1st time on Lasix in her 4th lifetime start.........and the a.m. work since the race indicates that she has muscled up and maybe in a big way.......should be a handsome price

9  Amuse   nice turf route debut back on 21 July and since the race this Mandella filly has put in no less than 9 work-outs 3 of which are bullet works........bred fine do handle the dirt.........and the selective red-hot Mike Smith is up

1  Tivat

6  Dancing Belle

race 5    average clarity

1  Saltini   1st time in claiming for this five-year old this afternoon and that is one dangerous proposition for the opposition as Richard Mandella has won 5 of his last 7 with the move......that and drop makes sense as this gelding has average only 3 starts per year

2  Acker   last two 9F grass races which were run 5 back & 8 back are arguably the best 2 races of his 12 race career.........away since 1 August but he appears to be training up to snuff for Peter Miller.........should be motoring late

4  Conquest Typhoon   gelding might be feeling awfully good as he got away with a pedestrian pace up on the lead for what likely was an effort with little stress........that and he should sit pretty stalking the 8 horse who I believe will cash it in fairly early

9  Oscar Dominquez

6  Unapologetic

race 6    below average clarity

5  Lea's Reward   last two times this laid up mare was in a claiming race she won for fun as the controlling speed in the for a tag today and sure appears to be in control of the front end here as well

1  Tenthousandreasons   solid history running off of 2 to 4 weeks rest......that is the case today with 26 days since her latest........Talamo who knows this mare well (having been aboard for her last 7 starts) remains up

7  Moscato Girl   GG invader has a much better record racing on conventional dirt than the AW.......and.......her trainer has won with 1/4 of his last 60 switching from the synthetic to the "real" dirt

3  Princess Leia

race 7    average clarity

6  Chitter Chatter   solid move forward at GG in her second lifetime start to graduate in a snappy 58:1........shows up in the Brian Koriner barn and the trainer who is having a solid rebound year has won 8 of his last 21 with shippers.....1st on conventional dirt is a ? mark

8  Midnight Miracle   Hess and Stevens team up again today for the 3rd time (top pick and 2nd pick in 1st two races - how did the do?).........two-year old filly was disqualified in her last and placed 4th......ouch......see ya Roman hello Stevens who won on this filly two races back winning by 6 1/2L to graduate

7  Secret Maneuver   two nice off pace efforts in two lifetime starts and a very positive rider change with a late running sort......and Bejarano's weight assignment is only 3 lbs more than bug boy Espinoza carried........such a deal

1  Six Pack Gal

2  Time for Suzzie

race 8    average clarity

1  Foxtail   very strong forward move in her latest breaking from the one post like today in the 26 August version of this race run at Del Mar......seems likely to get a similar ground saving stalking trip like she had in her latest race.....and with a rider suggest she has held form

2  Super Patriot   Cal-bred three-year old filly has been getting better with time and has a good history with Van Dyke her back (4 1 1 2).......that and she appears to respond positively when given ample time between starts........56 days since her last qualifies for that

11 AE  Lil Bit Dangerous   tough trip in her latest earning an adjusted for trip Santucci fig that is about 4L better than par for the level......away since that 8 Aug race but her works hint she is very ready fresh off of the break for Cassidy and company

5  Confrontation

6  Trust Fund Kitty

4  Mongolian Humor

3  Sunday Prophet
