OK card to start the new week of racing.

Best of luck as always!

race 1    average clarity

2  C. C. Zip   mare seems best at SA and best running around two turns......dropped into claiming 2 back and won by 9L at SA and at one furlong less........trainer is rather hot........should be in the mix from the get

3  Road Test   nice win two back at today's distance racing turf to dirt off of 20 days rest.......turf in last.......14 days rest for today's 8F dirt's not rocket science

5  Midnight Lilly   (3 1 2 0) since Tiago Pereira took over the riding responsibilities........recent a.m. work is improved.......should be motoring late

race 2    average clarity

8  Gonna Fly Now   trainer Richard Baltas is starting to heat things up...... and....... the last two preparatory works for this elder statesman are 5F bullet works........lone lifetime race on the grass is solid and run 1/2 furlong less than today.......nine-year old should be tough

1  From the Distance   last two races both at 5F on the sod are par like for today's level and the latest one is hidden by a brutal trip........should be a major player if he can handle another 1 1/2 furlongs today and receive a better trip

4  Forever Juanito   alarming drop but if this Victor Garcia seven-year old gelding is still in relatively decent shape he will be a major player in this spot

7  Indygo Bo

3  Allaboutmike

race 3    average clarity

5  Peachy   improved three-year old filly in her last two racing endeavors with the blinkers taken off.......trainer is stout racing a given horse 2nd time at a route.......that is the case today for trainer Papaprodromou this afternoon

3  Eskenforadrink   sure like that Miller was able to get this filly to work a solid endurance building 6F work in preparation for today's 1st ever at a route.........looking for the bug boy to utilize this girl's speed and try to wire the field

1  Chapis   on the right end of the learning curve and if her progress continues today in her 1st on the SA main track she should have as good a shot as anyone in the field to hit pay dirt

2  Heloise

race 4    average clarity

3  Norwegian   blinkers on and this Michael McCarthy two-year old filly already has shown the best early speed in the field.....that and she takes that ever magical drop from MSW racing to MC.......also we get quite the jock upgrade

7  Disco Tale   SCRATCHED OUT OF THE RACE   hard trying sort might be up to her best ever this afternoon as she just popped one of her best drills of her career and that is somewhat subtle.......she has always worked best on the SA dirt and finally gets to run in a race on it this afternoon

8  Diosa   takes the plunge from MSW racing to MC and removes the blinkers......likely to slow her down some in the early and have something left when push comes to shove in the late stages of the race.......not impossible but easy to make as our 3rd selection

9  Daddy's Mistress

race 5    average clarity

3  Dominating Woman   3 for 3 when she has been able to get loose on the lead and she sure appears as if she might grab a loose lead here........and for an added plus she has won without it once as well........and then there is the Peter Miller factor

6  Spin Me a Kiss   filly runs decently fresh and she is 8 weeks "fresh" today.....that and she does well when she gets contact with or near the front end and that seems likely in this spot especially with Maldonado in then irons

1  Zaffinah   seems best with today's rider Bejarano up.......race 3 back is very strong fig wise and disguised by about 6 or 7 lengths of trip trouble.......dangerous sort

4  Beau Square

8  Dis Smart Cat

race 6    average clarity

4  Sunset Green Flash    SCRATCHED OUT OF THE RACE   Bonde and Stevens have been a hot combo of late and might make it 3 for their last 4 with this three-year old 1ster who sure is working exceptionally strong for a MC50K Cal-Bred debut runner......not a lot of early gas in the field and he likely has some........hard not to like

3  Bless His Heart   all three lifetime races fit fairly well here and her effort 2 back in his 2nd lifetime start (run in short rest) might be his best of all and greatly disguised in its out after a layoff (run off of short rest) might be a very good thing.......recent works support the notion

1  Cayate   seems best at SA with 5 of his 8 races when racing on its main track fitting well here.......that's the positive......two negatives: tends to hang and the rider is ice-cold as in (12 0 0 0) to start the meeting

2  All I Can Say

race 7    below average clarity

2  Tribal Dance   won her only start on the Santa Anita dirt despite a wide trip moving into a decent pace and the race turned out to be a "key race"........that race was run off of 62 days rest.......76 days rest for today.....nice work regiment

5  Powder   solid 2nd in her last supported by a gap of 4 lengths to 3rd.......that and I like that she was able to take back and run well something she didn't appear capable of doing......rider upgrade today......trainer is having a decent 2nd half of 2018

1  Gem of a Marina   impressive MSW debut way back in mid November 2017 where she dueled wide and still drew off in the stretch.......if Matt Chew has her ready "fresh" again for her 2nd racing endeavor she should fit just fine

race 8    average clarity

3  Kookie Gal   never easy to win a route grass race at two at 1st asking but Miller can do no wrong these days and he sure has put enough work into his filly for her to have the endurance necessary to get the 8F of turf.....and he entices Prat who is as good as it gets at handling raw two-year old grass horses

5  Perfect Storm   ran evenly in her MSW debut following a poor so pedigree to handle the grass and the distance but that basically is the case for most of the field

8  Doc Yco Cheeks   double barrel action from Peter Eurton as he also trains our 2nd of the few in the field whose pedigree is good to handle a turf route if of course she is fit enough in her MSW debut......that and she has a tough post to cope with as the rail is out 30 feet which means the turn comes up awfully quick

1  Shanghai Barbie    SCRATCHED OUT OF THE RACE

7  Sedamar
