Best of luck as always!

race 1    below average clarity

5  I'm Ready to Roll   (3 2 0 1) record on the dirt when wearing blinkers and with no front bandages......blinkers on again today...... as for fronts take a look in the post parade........stout rider/trainer combo......that and 2nd out after a layoff is s strong stat for the trainer

3  Freddies Dream   trainer has won 2 of his last 3 racing 2nd out following a layoff.......that is the case today and with a rider upgrade........very consistent history racing at today's distance (8 2 1 4)

6  Above Board   one-dimensional type (lead type only) made a break thru in his latest winning from off of the pace........that gives bug boy Espinoza options.......he seems likely to sit 1st or 2nd down the back stretch in this small field with only 2 speed horse signed up

race 2    average clarity

5  Six Point Rack   very solid races at one mile on the grass and his latest run 8 weeks ago is disguised by a bad trip (checked back early and ran a bit wide).......runs well with ample time between starts and 2 months qualifies for that.......nice work regiment.......back to Prat who has done well on this Puype gelding in the past

6  Save Ground   race lacks speed and he seems to have enough to get a stalk position or maybe even lead in what might set up well for those that do

1  Jet Set Ruler   sat near the rear in his latest in a race with a pedestrian pace up front and still managed to win to graduate........away since his 17 August graduation day and training as if he is ready.........believe he will sit closer today and if he does Stevens has a shot at getting back to back wins

race 3    average clarity

4  Pocket Personality   both lifetime races on the Santa Anita dirt fit nicely if he can run as well around two turns.......likely feeling good for Eurton to step him up in a protected race.......believe bug boy Espinoza will send early

3  Rinse and Repeat   very consistent on the dirt since the blinkers were put on and he also has shown better early speed.........definitely has "hanger" tendencies but he might grab the lead in this spot and then there will be nobody to "hang on" and he might wire the field

1  Kershaw   not the best of horses out of the gate but bug boy Figueroa got him to break well the last time he rode (3 back) and it was a gate to wire 13 length win albeit in a sprint.......dangerous sort if he does leave the metal monster cleanly

race 4    average clarity

7  Wild Verse   poor trip two back.....earned an adjusted Santucci fig that is 3 1/2 lengths better than par for today's lower level.....much better bug boy up today than who rode that race two back......such a deal

6  Friendly Steve   exits a fast at Lrc running his lifetime best........and now draws the attention of Gary Stevens for the 1st time.........and when Gary Stevens gets on a "cheap" horse these days you best take note

9  Lucky Wally   solid forward move in his 2nd lifetime start and worked a sharp 4F at SA since hinting he might be up for even more this afternoon..........Wally fits fine if he is

3  Grand Minister

5  Serve Me a Double

race 5    above average clarity

5  Eddie Haskell   loves the 5F distance on the sod (5 3 1 1) and he just popped one strong effort to win at 5F at Del Mar racing 3 wide pressing a hot pace......ran that race off of ample time between starts and once again Glatt shows patience and gives him plenty of time off again

4  Richard's Boy    another solid individual racing at the abbreviated turf distance of 5F.........hard not seeing him be tough here......mostly made 2nd selection because he has to carry 127 lbs......ouch

1  Tribalist   SCRATCHED OUT OF THE RACE needs his very best and might give it as he just worked a blistering 46:3 best of 56 bullet drill 6 days ago and gets the red-hot Gary Stevens up for the 1st time

race 6    average clarity

3  Baby Ice   best on the SA surface.......and prefers running without the blinkers.......got both for the first time in her latest and really responded with a lifetime best that sure fits solidly here

5  Sharona   dull record at SA but careful as most of her races at The Great Race Place were a bit too ambitious as in over her head.......small drop should help.........by far at her best in abbreviated sprint distances of 5 1/2 furlongs or less

2  Dressed in Prada   steadily improving last winter and graduated in style with a 6 1/2L win on March 9th.......away since and placed at a level to succeed and that level hints this is not a gimme or the connections likely would have placed her higher so as to protect her from being claimed.......we shall see

1  As a Rule

race 7    average clarity

2  Fairy Tale Bliss   exits a very fast heat of MSW two-year old fillies where running 5th and getting beat by 4 1/4 lengths still worked out to be a strong figure........a.m. work since hints she is even sharper for her 2nd start........Kent Desormeaux wisely sticks around

3  Mercy Mercy   nice forward move in her 2nd lifetime start and 1st at a route......good speed displayed in the race......so.......if he takes to the sod (in her 1st race on it) she has a great shot at being the controlling speed in the race.....only sibling was a turf winner

8  Posh Holly   ran 4th in a 100K Stakes race in her 1st in the USA following 2 races in Ireland.......the time of the race was poor but she went off at 39 to 1 hinting she needed the race......not out of the win picture by any means......pun intended

9  Ask the Customer

7  Shes All Woman

race 8    below average clarity

8  Tough But Nice   seems at his best competing at today's 6 1/2 furlong distance.......appears to have the most early speed in the field (but not by a wide margin) and performs well when he is able to get a loose lead

1  Ninety Nine Proof   2 for 3 since the fronts were added........voided claim in last but just put in a nice 5F work hinting Miller has him feeling OK......if that is the case he should be a major player in this Cal-bred alw race

4  Fire to the Wire   another who has improved with the fronts on (6 2 3 0).........nice record at SA as well (8 3 2 2).......... claimed by Andrew Lerner in his last and with the claim comes a rider change and it is an upgrade albeit not a big one

6  King Abner

5  Older Brother

race 9    average clarity

2  Temple Secret   many signs point to this Neil Drysdale MSW 1st time starter being ready at 1st asking.......good grass pedigree.......top turf rider Prat accepts the mount........prolonged work tab........and just worked a 4F best of 12 bullet drill just 3 days ago.......all systems go

5  Vantastic   nice dirt MSW debut over at Lrc.......two reassuring work-outs since........owns a decent pedigree to handle the turf.......rider sure could use a win as in 1 for 32 to start the fall SA meeting

1  Storms River   plenty of work put into this Sadler MSW first starter who has a decent pedigree for the turf and the right jock up ..........Sadler/Van Dyke have won with 5 of their last 10 as a team over the last 2 months and with two others hitting the board

8  Volubile

3  Platinum Nights
