Best of luck as always!!

race 1    average clarity

1  Merneith   working like Baffert means business with this three year old filly 1ster as 2 of her last 3 preparatory works were out of the gate and one was at 6F which should go a long way when it comes to handling a 6 1/2 furlong debut

2  Drama for Mama   bet to favoritism in her MSW debut which was at SA and she ran start at Dmr wasn't as good......back to SA and Mandella sees fit to put the blinkers on her........good move because if it helps her break more timely she should in the mix from the get go

4  Gidgetta   good debut running better than par by a couple of lengths when you incorporate her somewhat wide trip..........and she might not have been that cranked up as she went off at 16 to 1......if that is the case she has the potential of being a major factor in the outcome of this race

race 2    average clarity

4  Ruby Bradley   trainer has been cold for quite some time and that might be the impetus for today's significant drop down........and this gals a.m. prowess preparing for today's race hints she is doing well....... and.......she races on a track she likes

3  Whoa Nessie   lifetime best (and an 11 length win) was run 5 races ago with the blinkers coming off........blinkers off today and back to the jock who was aboard the 11 length win........hmmm

1  Discreet Diva   last sure fits but she was set up for the race running turf to dirt off of short rest........totally different today as she is racing off of a 3 month layoff......but then again Rosario takes the mount

race 3    average clarity

2  Broadbeach   MSW debut last August at Newmarket GB was very strong (and a key race) but her 1st in the USA 4 months later was decent but not nearly as impressive........Rosario stays put......trainer is very stout 2nd out after a layoff.......likely moving forward this afternoon

3  Beguiled   not much in her MSW debut in a turf sprint in mid November........but she sure is bred well for the lawn and she shows a much improved recent drill.........the D'A is dangerous 1st at a route.......expecting better today

6  Honor Hop   went off 76 to 1 in her latest which was run off of a layoff and ran evenly but she showed she can handle the grass........trainer is much better 2nd out after a layoff.......28% with his last 85.......should go off a big number

9  Predicable Tully

7  M Is for Magic

race 4    average clarity

1  Polar Route   Matt Chew MC 1st time starter put in two strong back to back works in December........since then the works aren't not show too much and get claimed.......rider and trainer appear to be a "team" of late

6  On the Verge   another MC 1st timer that I believe is meant and ready (prolonged work tab with the last 6 works tightly spaced)......and with Maldonado getting the call this filly likely has some early speed

4  Slewbury Park   last two races fit fine especially if I am wrong in my assessment of the two 1st timer starters mentioned above........three year old filly from the Freeman barn should be in the mix from the opening bell

race 5    average clarity

4  Originaire   on the improve to close out 2019 and if he just repeats his latest he appears very tough in the spot.........had a shot of winning a G2 in his last but was blocked about 2L on the 2nd turn and that newcomer Rispoli gets the mount back

5  Barristan The Bold   solid 1st in the U S of A in his latest.........he also had a shot of winning the same G2 as our top choice if it wasn't for breaking a little tardy and running somewhat wide........1st time Prat.......hard not to like

3  Acker   latest is better than it appears in print.......cut back in distance of a full furlong should help his staying power in the one mile turf race........he is 2 for 3 at one mile and 3 for 15 at other turf distances...........should get a nice ground saving stalking trip.......might get ignored at the windows

2  Gregorian Chant

1  Never Easy

race 6    average clarity

5  Kadesh   boy does Franco owe the connections of this colt a better ride as he gave brutal trips on this fellow in his last two races........three year old has some early speed and that is somewhat disguised......should go off a price

2  Big Foot Dynamite   lifetime best was the only time this colt raced one mile on the dirt......that race was run 3 back at Del Mar.....but he just showed he can handle the dirt at SA running 2nd in a sprint on Jan 10th......would have been top choice if this wasn't his 3rd race in 20 days

3  Master Recovery   no action on the board hints the race was a tune-up and a decent one at that........drops multiple MC levels.......6 drills since the 9 November we see what this guy's got.......definitely dangerous

1  Mr. Nasty

race 7    average clarity

1  Carressa   training awfully well for her 1st to date on the lawn and coming off her lifetime best earning an adjusted for trip/pace Santucci fig that is better than par for today's Grade 3 level.......pedigree for the turf is a mixed bag - strong on dad's side of the equation but questionable on mom's.......but if she does take to the green should should be a ton

8  Super Patriot    great job of training since Baltas claimed for $35K 5 races back from Baffert.........last 3 races all fit fine and were at today's one mile turf distance........and today she gets quite the rider upgrade

2  Take These Chains   GP invader should get a nice ground saving stalking trip......mare must be quite sharp for her connections to ship x-country for a $100K Grade 3

3  Keeper Ofthe Stars

6  Brill

race 8    average clarity

3  Muskoka  SCRATCHED OUT OF THE RACE   four year old drops four MC levels to the bottom MC20K.........jury is out on this one's ability to handle conventional dirt but his works on the SA main track suggest that he will.......should be in the mix from the get go

2  Speakerofthehouse   trainer is waking up from the doldrums and like our top choice drops out of a MC62.5K race down to the MC20K level.......1st ever on the dirt but he has worked decently on it at times......trainer is solid with the turf to dirt move

5  Cross Town   only route dirt race he has run at SA was his lifetime best number and was run only 15 days ago.....that effort repeated has some chance of taking down this race but he might move forward off of the race......if that is the case he seems as likely as anyone of earning the right to visit the winners circle
