race 1   average clarity

(there is a SHF carryover of $15K for this race)

3  Never Easy  R Mandella has won his last 8 of 12 1st time he puts a given horse up for a tag.........that is the case here and he also draws Prat for the 1st time.........and Prat owns 3 wins and a 2nd with 5 mounts over the last two months riding for the Hall of Fame trainer

6  Truth Seeker  SCRATCHED OUT OF THE RACE  extremely wide trip in his latest hides a one mile dirt race that is much better than it appears and should set him for today's 2nd out after a layoff run........back to the grass where he appears to have as much ability as he has on the main rider/trainer the last couple of weeks

7  Holt Ghost   five year old gelding has been absent since mid Feb. but he often runs well fresh and his a.m. prowess hints that he will once again today.......also supporting the notion is that Cedillo sticks around

2  Princeofthenorth

5  Artie B Good

race 2    average clarity

7  Majestic Diva   banking on the race that this Bernstein filly ran 17 January which was at today's 7F distance.........that effort run at one level higher would crush this field......the big effort was run following a one mile race off of 2 months mile in last and 2 1/2 months rest.......hope history repeats itself

2  Desert Smoke   up the track 1st out following the Truman claim.......but Cedillo stays up and the trainer has been dynamite 2nd out after a claim as in 3 with his last 4........but........he will still need our top pick (who beat him but 10L on the aforementioned 17 January race) not to fire a similar race

1  Carrie's Success   rather consistent on main track surfaces (15 5 5 2) and you have to respect that high % trainer Jonathan Wong ships in a cheap claimer from GG for today's bottom level $10K affair........that and Wong has won 3 of 4 since the SA reopening

3  All Tea All Shade

race 3    average clarity

6  Imagineiamfastest   very good history when Cedillo rides and he is up today......and the last time that this claimer ran in a 7F dirt race (6 races back and at SA) he won in decent time

1  Burn Me Twice   OK handling a break in the action........when last seen on March 6th this Bill Spawr six year old pressed a solid pace and ran a better than par final time for today's level.......very dangerous despite drawing a tricky post at 7F

4  Black Storm   very ambitious two level step up following the Mullins drops his new purchase 4 levels or $6K less than he claimed him for........somewhat alarming but still dangerous

race 4    above average clarity

6  Jamming Ebby   very solid effort in his race two back in a one mile dirt race where this gelding set a brutal pace and nearly held on to win........that race was run turf to dirt........same move today but this time around he races at 6 1/2F instead of one mile.......1st time Prat who is deadly teaming up with Peter Miller

7  Mr Paytience    gelding has never missed the board in 6 lifetime starts.......and he is (3 1 2 0) at SA on fast rated dirt.......that'l do

1  Appreciated   par like effort at 80 to 1.........solid 4F work since the May 15th........might move forward.......seems likely to appreciate another full furlong to work with........danger city

race 5    average clarity

1  Tagline   improving sort and now drops into MC for the 1st time in her 4th lifetime start.....she only needs her latest or even a little less which she ran two back to take down this race......and of course she might improve again.........good post and rider........hard not to like

11  I Give Up   her latest doesn't fit but her two races 2 back & 3 back do.......she has worked ten times since her disappointing last race hinting she can mount a rebound

3  Constantia   turf sprint-turf sprint-turf route scenario for this girl's 3rd lifetime start........that and she seems to have enough speed to sit near the front (and save ground) in a race that has a decent chance of rewarding those that do

6  Colombian Gold

5  Lemon Drop Tini

race 6    average clarity

1  Dark Prince  SCRATCHED OUT OF THE RACE  by Baffert standards this four year old gelding was a disappointment at two where he had to drop him to a MC100K to get to the winners support at the windows in his return to the race wars following a 17 month hiatus where he opened up a lead on the grass but tired in the stretch .....since the race he has worked on the dirt with the blinkers off like a Stakes horse........acts like a new horse.......we shall see

2  Sash   trainer and rider have been on fire since the reopening of The Great Race Place so it is hard not seeing this gelding not giving a good account of himself.........and he should get a nice ground saving stalk position behind our top pick

6  Julius   believe this gelding is better in route races and gets back to one following two out of town sprints.......needs his summer of 2019 form and I think he might find it today

race 7    average clarity

3  Predicable Tully   every career grass race seemingly fits nicely at today's lower USA effort (and disguised by a wide trip sitting fairly close to a hot pace) was the only time she ran off of short rest.......22 days to be exact.......22 days since her last.......all systems go

4  Cassie Belle   much better racehorse since switching to the turf......both turf races were at today's abbreviated sprint distance of 5 1/2 furlongs and are par like efforts for the MC62.5K level

6  Majestic Gigi   like our top two selections this Hector Palma three year old filly takes the ever dangerous drop from MSW racing to MC racing.......combine that with a turf rider upgrade and you have anther contender in this filly making her 8th lifetime start

9  Miss Alegria

1  Red Diamond

race 8    above average clarity

5  McKinzie   superstar is training "lights out" and he a perfect 2 for 2 at today's 7F Mike Smith gets the mount back after not having it for this fellow's last two races........Smith likely will be out to impress Bob so he can return to being his number one guy in the top races

4  Fashionably Fast   6 for 6 since the blinkers were taken off winning at 4 different distances and that includes at today's 7 furlongs.........always an impressive a.m. horse but now he appears to be training the best of his life.......more than deserving of a shot in a Graded race and a Grade 2 at that

1  Flagstaff   hard to argue with (5 2 2 1) in five lifetime Stakes races four of which were Graded affairs.......and like our top choice he is a perfect 2 for 2 at might hurt some

race 9    average clarity

9  A Melis   solid set of works for this Yakteen MSW 1st time starter and Tim is rather reliable when he shows good a.m. work with his hint that this filly has some speed.......gets hot jock Cedillo

8  Liberalism   nice move forward in her 2nd lifetime start in the summer of bodes well for her 2nd out after a long layoff.......and her off the bench effort on May 17th wasn't too shabby

6  Lovely Finsih   last is decent and would have a shot at winning this race.........but..........if she can manage her effort two back she would have as good of a chance of winning this race as anyone

10  Anna Fantastic
