Best of luck as always!

race 1   average clarity

5  Fabozzi   nice endurance building one mile grass race on June 5th.........solid 4 work series since.........rider upgrade.......drops multiple levels........and maybe most importantly when Glatt puts up Cedillo his horses for the most part are "live"

6  Heartfulof Stars   assistant trainer for the late Gary Sherlock has not produced since taking over the as the conditioner for the barn.......but.......this fellow drops multiple levels and his a.m. work of late is vastly improved.......1st win as the named trainer today might be in the cards for Edwin Alvarez

2  Horse Greeley   drops again suspiciously.......but he does like Del Mar and the 6 1/2F distance

race 2    average clarity

6  Burn Me Twice  six year old gelding appreciates the Del Mar surface........he popped his lifetime best at Dmr and take note that it was the only time he has raced at today's 6 1/2 furlong distance.......jock knows his mount inside out as he always rides him for trainer Bill Spawr

1  Papa Turf   ice cold start to the new meeting for Jeff Mullins which might be the reason he drops his 8 March re-claim a couple of claiming levels.......that and his gelding is a nine year old........last race is better than it appears.......Abel Cedillo owns a good history riding this elder statesman

5  C Dub   jock fits this gelding well.......reassuring improved 5F drill at Del Mar......should be on or just off of the lead

4  Awhtesportscoat

2  Market Sentiment

race 3    average clarity

2  Southern King   big improvement with the addition of blinkers in his last both final time fig wise and pace wise ........3 reassuring works since........Fuentes sure appears to have the lead if he wants it.........Peter Miller is decent getting back to back wins with a given horse.......11 furlongs is a ? mark

6  North County Guy   if our top choice isn't on the lead then I believe this five year old gelding will be........handles Del Mar turf and he is one for one at today's marathon 11F distance........jock upgrade.......can he get 11F again to win off of 5 month break.........we shall see

3  Border Town   fell off in last but his races two or three back fit fine.........bred to run all day

7  Catch the Eye

race 4    average clarity

5  Big Sweep   2 for 2 sprinting and in her 2nd lifetime sprint she beat the boys in a 150K Cal-bred Stakes race........both sprints were at 6F and the way in which she finished both races hint that 7F will be right up her alley.......Pratt has been up for all three of her lifetime races and stays put.......filly is highly likely to sit 1st or 2nd in the early stages and her challenger for the lead doesn't appear to be much

2  Smiling Shirley   strong late runner but she might not get the kind of fractions that will flatter her running style......but......she does face only 3 foes which should make traffic trouble almost "nil".......and then there is the Smith factor in a Stakes race

1  Been Studying Her   (5 3 1 1) sprinting........seems best at 7F and she is also 1 for 1 at Del Mar......dangerous

race 5    average clarity

1  Hot Hot Legs   very consistent sort and she gets back to Del Mar where she is at her most dangerous seemingly because she gets a little flat at 5 1/2 furlongs at Santa Anita.........that and she draws post one which has fared well the last few meetings at Del Mar........filly seems likely to stalk our top choice and catch her before the wire comes up

9  Bulletproof One   outside of this Peter Miller speed horse there is not much speed in this affair so his three year old filly appears to have caught a great spot for her return to the turf..........and take note that Ricardo Gonzalez won both of his mounts on her when she raced at GG on the synthetic

2  Querelle  (4 2 2 0) in 5 1/2 furlongs turf races......likely will need more "pace" than anticipated to get up in time at 5F

8  Fantasy Heat

4  Shines Her Light

race 6    average clarity

8  Bluegrass Patriot   hot trainer Mark Glatt has won 11 of his last 32 "1st time in MC" which is the case today for his three year old gelding who ran an improved effort in his 2nd lifetime start.......the effort is much better than it appears in print as he dueled in decent fractions on a dull inside on 19 June at Santa Anita........he earned a Santucci fig that is about 4L better than par for today's level

1  Synsky   bet hard in his MSW debut at Lrc but didn't live up to the support at the windows.........since the 26 June race he has put in two solid 4F works the last of which was a near bullet work at Del Mar......drop makes sense off of a dull effort......2nd time might be the charm........we will see about 4:30 p.m. pacific

6  Irreproachable   MSW debut appeared to be nothing more than a since are solid......MSW to MC strong move for the D'A

11  El Diablo Rojo

3  Summer Fun

race 7    average clarity

6  Offshore Affair   very strong better than par 3rd off of a long hiatus from the game in a race run at 5 1/2F on the grass at SA........3 reassuring works since the 20 June race.......gelding does well stalking and should be able to today.......should be very tough is he holds form and handles the Dmr turf as well as he does the SA turf

4  Foster Boi   four year old runs well fresh and he is training as if he will fire another strong fresh off of the bench race this the pace style might be a good fit in this affair as there appears ton be enough early speed signed up to produce a "legit" pace up are strong......trainer has been firing on all cylinders to start the Summer Del Mar meeting

8  Too Late   other speed to cope with but his endurance is improving which makes him dangerous

11  Preaching Trainer

3  Smokin Blackjack

race 8    average clarity

1  Big Dress   trainer is off to a good start at the Dmr meeting and wins at 16% clip with MC has tossed 2 winners from 2 starters and her sire is doing extremely well to start his new are plentiful and the 47:3 Hg work on July 8th at Dmr is awfully solid for a July two year old maiden claiming Cal-bred filly........Yakteen seemingly has a shot to make it 3 for 4 to start the meet

6  Stars of Bluegrass   interesting that Van Dyke stays up following a dull 2nd time start which followed a near MSW debut win at SA.......and considering the race was at Lrc 3.30 to 1 seems a little chilly odds wise for this girl's 2nd start.......believe they may have pointed for today lessening the threat of getting claimed......if that us so lookout today

4  Spicy Sommelier   latest at Lrc is better than appears as inside speed was not the place to be at the goofy oval......Peter Miller trained

8  September Secret

9  Mucha Woman

race 9    average clarity

3  Stealthediamonds   lead type only has an abundance of early speed and is highly likely to be loose here..........she is a perfect 3 for 3 at 5F on the grass and two of those races were at Del Mar.........that and the only time she didn't have the lead at the 5F mark in her 5 1/2 furlong turf races she stumbled at the start......trainer Mike Puype has been cold but he might jump start things here

2  Tomlin   filly really took to the turf in her latest winning a 5F turf Stakes race at GG in 56 flat with gaps to 2nd and 3rd.........that and she set a solid pace..........she might be able to stalk our top choice sitting close enough to overtake him (and maybe a few others) in the stretch

6  Jo Jo Air   invader seems best at 5 furlongs and draws the hot Umberto Risploi.......trainer Ward is a sprint turf Specialist

8  Surrender Now

4  Mischiffie

race 10    average clarity

4  Solitaire   MC first time starter owns a very solid work regiment for someone like Keith Desormeaux who seldom pushes them hard in the a.m........but when he does you best take note........that and he starts his decently bred filly at the bottom maiden claiming level

11  Arya's Dagger   both lifetime races were on the turf (one at 5 1/2F & one at 8F) and are par like efforts for today's lower MC level.........trains OK on the dirt and that includes the Del Mar main track.......if she does take to the dirt he should have plenty of endurance to finish well at today's 6 1/2F coming off of a mile turf race

6  Foxy Carmela   cold trainer but he is good with MC 1ster's......and.....this one shows signs of being ready at 1st asking

3  Enriched by Deb

2  Sapphire Silk

race 11    average clarity

1  Lincoln City   talk about being on the right end of the learning curve.......and today we get quite the jock upgrade especially for a grass race.........four year old colt should get a nice ground saving stalking trip sitting behind our top choice

3  Dark Prince   seems about 70/30 that this four year old gelding will get what he needs as in a loose lead.......gelding has had only one race (8 March) since mid October 2018........but.......since that race which wasn't too hot he has worked 13 times showing quite a few works of merit........Baffert might have tweaked something for the bettor.......we shall see

8  Succeedandsurpass   sharp colt but he does lose Rispoli to our 5th least he gets a decent replacement in J J Hernandez

12  Madman

4  City Rage
