Best of luck as always!

race 1    average clarity

8  Sorriso   Glatt five year old gelding should get a nice stalking awfully well of late.......drops down to a level that is about two lengths easier........Mr. Glatt has been hot for quite some time.......hard not to like

5  Moonoverthebayou   four year old is in need of a rebound and maybe the layoff combined with the drop in claiming can provide one.....good rider/trainer team over the years

3  Street Image   four year old has two other speed types to deal with but whereas he appears to be on the upswing they look as if they are on the downswing

4  Victor's Show

9  Golden Image

race 2    average clarity

5  Honor A. P.   all three lifetime route races are powerful efforts/figs........and considering Mike Smith and John Shirreffs are at the controls you would think another big race is in the cards for this three year old who like our top choice is eyeing the Ky Derby in September

1  Uncle Chuck   SCRATCHED OUT OF THE RACE  crushed his competition in both lifetime starts for Baffert and company and the 2nd race was in a Grade 3 at Lrc.........three year old continues to train like he is something special........this race qualifies for Ky points so Baffert should be all out with this colt as he could use a few

6  Cezanne   $3,650,000 at sale colt has not disappointed in both lifetime starts.........and his 2nd start was an impressive time at Lrc as in 135:4 for a mile in an alw race run against older.........this race qualifies for Ky points so Baffert should be all out with this colt as he definitely needs some

race 3    above average clarity

5  Freedom Fighter   brilliant work tab for this Baffert two year MSW 1st time starter (even by his lofty standards).........both speed and endurance put in.........good sprint pedigree........hard not to like

2  Petruchio   best pedigree in this field and like our top selection this R Mandella MSW 1st timer is training as if he is well meant in his debut with copious works put in........acts as is he owns some early speed and with only 5F to travel that would be an obvious plus

10  Dixie's Two Stents   last two works for this O'Neill baby hint that he is peaking at the right time as in right before his MSW debut.......needs to avoid getting caught too wide on the turn unless the track plays outside like it did from 24 July to 27 July and yesterday

8  Vittorio

race 4    average clarity

2  Big Buzz   might be a good claim of an improving five year old by Adam Kitchingman........race lacks speed so I like that Maldonado gets the nod for the 1st time with the switch in trainers.......should save ground sitting behind the 8 horse who I don't think will hold together attempting a route (and an 8 1/2F one at that) for the 1st time

6  Bud Knight   another who should get a nice stalk position and with the meets leading rider in Umberto Risploi up......toss his latest on the dirt as he had the trip from you know where and might have disliked the surface anyway

1  General Mathis  SCRATCHED OUT OF THE RACE  won his 1st on the grass in his last (3rd lifetime start) which was at GP and run at today's 1/16th turf distance.......shows up in the Mulhall barn and she likely will have her new addition very ready so as to enhance his chances of capturing some of the added purse money for a shipper

4  Good Bye Putin

7  Sly

race 5    below average clarity

3  Shortlist   six year old gelding has really improved since Sadler took over by way of the claiming box.......gelding gets 1st time Prat and his mount likes to run wide which has worked out well for those who do over the last 5 Dmr race cards

1  Nolo Contesto   just popped one of his best lifetime races in his latest and the strength of the race is disguised by wide trip up close to a strong set of fractions.......likes the one mile distance a lot........Del Mar's surface is a ? mark thus 2nd pick

7  Dreams of Valor   Dollase is dynamite with the sprint-sprint-route move.........six year old put in two very impressive works since his 10 July race at Del Mar.....hard not to like

5  Polar Wind

race 6    average clarity

3  Chitu Me Too   good gate work 3 drills back and her last preparatory drill for her MSW debut is very impressive and worked only 6 days ago.......this Eurton filly seems to be peaking at the right time as in right before her debut into the wonderful world that is thoroughbred has tossed 3 winners from 3 starters 2 of which won on the sod

6  Sweet and Cheeky   another Eurton filly who seemingly has a shot at the winners circle.......decent dirt race in her 2nd lifetime start which was at Lrc and her debut was quite good running 2nd in a MSW grass sprint at SA despite a bit of a wide trip.......decent rider/trainer over the last 2 months in Maldonado and Eurton

7  Offixcious   nice layoff run in her last in a 5 1/2 furlong grass sprint at SA on June 20th.........improved a.m. work since.......should move forward thus dangerous

4  Dolce

2  Miss Mo' Licious

race 7    average clarity

9  Taming the Tigress   bad beginning in her MSW or could have graduated at 1st one would anticipate Prat sticks with the Peter Miller two year old.........improved a.m. work since her debut.......should be tough

8  Smoothlikebutter   needs her debut race or even her 2nd start but her last start was dull........both of her starts that fit are disguised by bad trips especially her MSW debut where she broke a dozen lengths slow

3  Eddie's New Dream   good sire and mom has tossed 3 winner from 3 starters......not one bad work showing.....trainer has had a difficult year but might jump start the barn here with this 1ster

2  Bossy Soul

7  Will Take a Kiss

race 8    above average clarity

7  I'm So Anna  SCRATCHED OUT OF THE RACE  fast surface at Lrc for sure but 57:3 winning time for this two year old filly from the Steve Sherman barn is still awfully impressive......that and the strength of the race is supported by gaps of 4L & 5L to 2nd and sure seems like she stands out here if of course she takes to the Del Mar surface

4  Righteously   moved forward to graduate in her 2nd lifetime start.....likely needs another one this afternoon to handle our top best be a significant improvement

1  Big Andy   competitive in both her lifetime starts and gets a major league rider upgrade for today...........dangerous if our top choice tosses a clunker

race 9    average clarity

4  Journal Entry   sure like the rider change especially for a grass race........easily the best jock this mare has had on her back in 11 starts........J J Hernandez should get a nice ground saving stalk postion likely behind our 2nd choice........3rd out after a layoff today and that is one solid trainer stat for Carla Gaines

2  Naughty Evelyn   vastly improved in her latest start both in pace and final since are improved.......filly should be loose on the lead and maybe very horse trainer might get his 1st win in many a moon......hard not to root for

6  Better With Age   nice drills in preparation of her 1st race in S Cal.......eligible for extra purse money.......3 of her 6 two turns turf races run in Florida fit fine vs. today's competition

1  Little Rachel

5  Tagline

race 10    above average clarity

8  Wildman Jack  tossed a weak effort in his latest which might have been nothing more than a muscle him up grass run anyway.........powerhouse best of 104 bullet 4F dirt gate work since.........two previous grass races prior to his last fit here if he can run as well on the dirt......good pedigree for it and that bullet work.....should be a price

4  McKinzie  SCRATCHED OUT OF THE RACE  might scratch but obviously will need to be reckoned with if he runs today

9  Collusion Illusion   4 for 4 lifetime in sprint races and 2 of the wins were run at Del Mar........and Prat has been aboard for 3 or those wins including his latest which was a G3 win at Lrc

3  Desert Law   nearly won the 2019 version of this prestigious Grade 1 race.........big move forward in 2019 racing 2nd out after a long layoff........same dangerous scenario this afternoon

6  Fashionably Fast

race 11    below average clarity (sorry lost my comments for this race)

1  Cheerful Charm  gimme in Prat.....improved a.m.

2  Nina En Fuego   trainer is dynamite with youngsters debuting at Dmr in the summer

5  Bella Chica   dangerous speed with blinkers on today

9  On Mars

4  Starship Sky

7  Kiss of Congrats
