Using Our General Odds Matrix

General Odds Matrix use the values below and average them with the morning line to get a general idea when you might be looking at a decent win wager overlay. (i.e. take the 6 horse field for instance...say the morning line on our top choice is 7-2 and our general value for the top choice in a 6 horse field is 5-2... the average is 3-1 In general terms, anything at this level or higher might constitute a good win wager....say in a 7 horse field our 3rd choice is 10 to 1 in the morning line...3rd choice general value is 6 to 1, so the average is 8 to1 on our 3rd selection and might be considered a win wager.) These are general guidelines  but they work awfully well in Southern California where the morning line is quite accurate as compared to most of the racetracks throughout the U S of A.
