Hollywood for Sunday 11 July 2010

Handicappers Corner

Mike Puype has been hot the last few weeks and has 5 horses entered today. 2 of them we have as our top pick. 2 of them we have as our 2nd pick. And the other we have as our 3rd pick. Trainers often win in bunches and let's hope that is true today.

Recommended pick 3 part wheel starts in the 7th race

2,4,6,7 with 1,2,3,5 with 8,10

race 1    average clarity

4  Ron Bob And Dave   facing somewhat better....runs well fresh...Bejarano sticks around

5  Doppio   nice effort off of the 11 month layoff.....good shot to move forward....seemingly gets sufficient pace to put in his close

6  Our Nautique   last looks like the tune-up in a non-claiming event to drop and be full throttle today in 2nd start in the good old U S of A

race 2    average clarity

3  Camicory   almost won with a very solid pace for this level....steadily getting better with every race

4  Leyva Man   good wake up with the blinkers off today...Flores is flying high after a big payday Saturday

6  Outrageous Fortune   barn is very tough the 2nd time at a route which is the case with this gelding who has shown some promise

8  Cantona   in a little tight and lost about 4 lengths running too wide....new jock today and it's the meets leading rider

race 3    slightly below average clarity

2  Maybe Yes   only 2 late runners in the race and the other, the 3 horse, was a vet scr 2 weeks ago...seems ready fresh and this group of front runners maybe very tired late

4  Honour Family   has done little wrong in 3 lifetime races...might be the speed of the speed

race 4    average clarity

4  Kris Silver   good history for Mullins.....improved work on the 4thof July hints at a rebound...6 for 16 at the distance

1  Hammurabi   last was the obvious sprint turf prep...today's the day to shoot for the win...should get a nice ground saving trip a lot of the way

6  Fire Break   Morey has won over 1/2 of his 1st after the claim runners in 2010......consistent horse should fire but he will need more pace than anticipated to fire his best

race 5    average clarity

9  Ten's Salty Sally   solid fig for this level in his last and is training like he is at least the same animal...7 furlongs fits

6  Celebration   very impressive deep closing stretch run into a pedestrian pace...can sit closer today

5  Warren's Ruby   overdo drop to earn his keep and pay some bills....should be close up from the get go

4  Simply Put   blinkers on in last...didn't hang for a change and graduated....hopes to keeps things rolling back in a one turn affair

race 6    average clarity

4  Nostalgic Bid   blinkers on sure was the right move......exits 2 fast heats where he earned strong figs for this level

8  Peanut Butter Bay   small barn popped at 40 to 1 yesterday and is now a solid 3 for 14 for the year......debut run wasn't bad...bred to be a decent sprinter

6  Roos On The Loose   finally 6 furlongs for this gelding that flattens out any further...will need very best but at least he gets a distance he can handle

2  Ralphie' Ole'   obscure connections for this 1ster but breeding is decent and the works are good enough

race 7    average clarity

2  Scored   barn works everything fast but the works for this gelding are exceptional.....best races ever were his fresh races...fresh today

7  Imco spirit   nasty 44:3 is sizzling fast for the 7 1/2 furlong distance......shot to wire cutting back to 6F today

6  Mensa Heat   this consistent closer just keeps getting better and better and better........

race 8    average clarity

1  Belleofthebridle   filly race 2nd to one very nice male baby...my fig is better than par this today's level

2  Dawnie Macho   AP is my old stomping grounds andI can tell you with confidence that this privately purchased filly ran extremely fast to break the track record because the AP surface wasn't all the fast that particular day....but can she do it on the Hol surface ?

3  Moonstruck Maya   had 6 lengths of total trouble in MSW debut and still managed to break her maiden...good drills since...if she settles down ...lookout

5  She'll Heir   tough call here because she exits a very slow heat but was blocked badly

race 9    slightly above average clarity

10  Woodmans Luck   solid needed debut and the drills strongly suggest we will see more today in his 2nd lifetime start

8  Slammer Time   excellent work series for G Mandella who is quietly having a very nice meet...bred to be a good sprinter

1  Tribal Wish   need to see his debut race 2 backto have a shot....Bejaranoshould help find it

3  Zombyslayermrdarcy   useful MSW debut and now we get avery positive rider switch...should see more today

2  Stormin' Rae   final time was fine but tired off of a soft half mile...will need to move forward quite a bit today and may
