Fairplex for Sunday 19 September 2010
[private]
NFL football and Thoroughbred racing makes for one fun Sunday afternoon for many of us. Hope you have a great day!
Â
race 1Â Â Â average clarity
2 Cynical Wager  quickest early.....on the right end of the learning curve and one hot jock
4 Big Bad Bertha good opportunity to sit a nice chase position and try to run down our top pick
1 Bobby's N Paradise  appears to have run into shape and seems poised for best ever today
Â
race 2Â Â Â slightly below average clarity
2 Seeuat Stickenstein  closer has only 4 furlongs to work with but plenty of heat up front to run at
4 Preach The Gospel  very quick early....might be the speed of the speed
Â
race 3Â Â Â above average clarity
2Â Swiss AÂ Â Â unless any of the 3 1st timers possess brilliant early speed this fave seems long gone
1 Silver Dragon  1st timer from a invading barn that has 2 wins and 2 2nd's in 6 starts in 2010 (1for 1 at Fpx)is training as if fit for his maiden debut
6 Mandelieu  major wake up 1st ever on dirt in last....can and needs to move forward
Â
race 4Â Â Â slightly above avg clarity
2 A Plus Topper  race lacks speed and this gelding has plenty....another fave loose and lonely and brave on the front end
3 Earnednevergiven  should be able to sit in a distance chase position and hope the top pick doesn't rate well enough
Â
race 5Â Â Â slightly above avg clarity
2 Timetobegone   well bred to be quick early and 4 of her last 5 drills our from the gate a very good sign this Baffert charge is ready to roll in her debut into the racing world
8  Jenny Jenny Emily  solid early speed...decent speed rider and a 4 furlong affair....a good mix
4 Unbridled Thoughts  decent 2nd at today's distance a week ago.....can move forward off of that wake up effort
1 Twisp  small wake up in last....will need more today and must cope with a low % post at the 4F distance
Â
race 6Â Â Â average clarity
3  Get Off The Sugar  not the best of trips hides this one some.....decent history 2nd out after the layoff...scenario for today
2 Gotmymojoworkin  likely favorite is z very solid animal down at the 5K level if his health remains intact
4 Kbello  seems to appreciate the 6F distance (3 of 9 wins and 0 for 11 at other distances on the main track) and exits a fast heat at Yav
8  Souvenir Winner  needs to rebound to his race 2 back
Â
race 7Â Â Â slightly above avg clarity
4  Warren's Moon  trainer/rider are a hot combo.......whole career fits here....tends to hang but top jock will be all over her late
7  Long Legged Lovely  very good speed in this spot.....may get loose........and............go..........all.........the.........way with those lovely legs
5 Atta' Girl  late runner will need career best
6  Isn't She Sweet   needs MSW debut effort run last Spring.....barn is solid 3rd out after the layoff which is what we have here
Â
race 8Â Â Â slightly below avg clarity
1 Jana Gail   consistent (believe best of the closers) closer just snatched up by Palma who has been hot of late.....seemingly gets enough pace to run at
5 Irridescent Red  just claimed by O'Neill and earned a significant fig with a bad trip in her last......1st long is the concern
2 Perfect Soulmate  turf fit and 3 nice drills at Fpx....all systems go for this well meant invaderÂ
Â
race 9Â Â Â average clarity
8 Candy Coated   superior animal takes a logical drop to win
3 Ritville  believe we are looking at a little gimme / go action here....made little sense to not drop in last thus conclusion---gimme
6 Finish Strong  invader lived up to his name in layoff win last.....can move forward 2nd after the layoff and will be a factor if he does
4 Smokin Dixi  earned a decent fig with a poor trip in last......back in 4 days....yikes
Â
race 10Â Â Â slightly above average clarity
8 Cajun Gent  sharp claim by O'Neill.....7 of 9 "places" on conventional dirt......should sit 1st or 2nd early with top gun aboard
2 Bad Boy  claim back by Canani.....must own the trump card for this gelding.......proven at Fairplex
4 Skippy Do   shooting for 4 straight wins......but...new barn and new track or would have rated higher
1 Beauteous Maximus  good win by daylight versus softer in last....1 for 1 at Fpx....needs a couple of lengths of improvement
Â
race 11Â Â Â average clarity
1 Clubhouse Rules  best fig in the race and they entice P Val to ride....move over Mr Pedroza
5 Including Gold  crushing foes at Yav in solid times that appear to fit just fine here
7 Cash Michael  1st timer is training well and gets Gryder to ride and mama has thrown 3 stakes winners out of 3 foals....yikes!!!
8 Wealthy Advisor  high % trainer ships in from GG and just worked a strong bullet on the Fpx surface with this colt
Â
race 12Â Â Â average clarity
1 Mr. Rancho Vista  logical drop to score.....Pedroza accepts
5 Roar Of Applause   Mitchell massive drop is screaming "Claim Me Please" but still may have a race left in him
6 Souvenir Slew  logical drop and 3 reassuring works since his last....likes the Fpx surface
8 Quarter Moon  in decent from and gets to hit the dirt off of a grass race which is usually a good thing
9 Doggie Bear  useful sprint is in at Fpx and now goes long which appears to be his strength
