Oak Tree @ Hollywood for Thurs. 28 Oct 2010
[private]
Most likely will be doing selections for the Breeders Cup for both days in the form of audio emails for each day from Top Turf Today which has the ability to send audios. I will discuss each race and give info on each animal I think has a shot. It will cost about $40 for both days and will have a spot to pay the piper on this website. Please shoot me an email asap to let me know if you are interested. Obviously the number of interested folks will be the key to doing it or not. Good early response and a good long range weather forecast makes it likely I will do selections. I will decide by Friday morning at the latest.
Â
race 1Â Â Â average clarity
4 Roulette It Roll  exits 2 solid lifetime races at GG and seemingly ships into a weak looking local contingent
5 Michailasheartlite  2 of 5 lifetime starts are good the other 3 aren't......switch to top jock hints we may see a repeat of those 2 good efforts that fit fine here
1 Jenny Jenny Emily  has 3 other speed horses to put away but maybe the speed of the speed
Â
race 2Â Â Â slightly below average clarity
4 Cash Michael  needed last (placed over head for a tune-up) and has probably been pointed for today....mom has thrown 3 Stakes winners out of her other 3 starters
1A Just Imagine  owns some good early route speed and now adds the blinks to help focus and possible get away from the field
6 Prince Bandini  both of his lifetime starts weren't bad...only needs to show a little more to be in the hunt here
Â
race 3Â Â Â average clarity
1 Recipient  trained sharply ( especially for this level) at Keeneland before shipping....a good sign of strong intent 1st out at her new track....Proctor has had a solid 2010 at multiple tracks solid route grass run at AP...pedigree says AW is a fit
4 Go Tena Go  difficult to compete 1st out going long and this filly did albeit on the turf.....bred to handle the AW as well
5 Lemon Drop Ridge  most experience running multiple turn races.....freshened up some....might help move this filly forward
Â
race 4Â Â Â average clarity
4 Tamerin  race lacks speed.....good shot to wire if this mare with physical problems has one more good run left in her
6 Ashee  just missed both races with Talamo aboard.....seemingly faces somewhat easier today
3 Entabeni  hinting at turning the corner and rebounding in form...last time Sadler moved this filly up in class she ran well....8 Apr 10
Â
race 5Â Â average clarity
5  Square Deal  exits 2 straight solid grass sprints.....last two races on the main (albeit conventional dirt at Crc) were 6 lengths wins...hot barn and a sharp horseÂ
1 Spaniard  all 4 races run in 2010 fit well at today's level......only time today's jock rode he won by 3...Baffert is starting to get hot again
4 Earnednevergiven  6 year gelding has gotten surprisingly sharp on the main track surfaces of late.....can get a nice mid pack position behind what looks like a very lively pace...maybe too lively
Â
race 6   average clarity Â
6 Pay For Play  last trip: broke slow, checked a little, and ran wide...actually was more impressive than the fave and winner Movie Duty .....mmmmmm.....and why the drop on money making machine Movie Duty....solid work since last is reassuring
1 Pretty Kenzie  consistent sort may get one of the 1st cracks at the fave turning for home
3 Movie Duty  suspicious drop down but sure seems aided by the fact she looks loose...still can fire if she is declining in form
5 Yasuda  race 2 back a win at this level was also a very solid number
Â
race 7Â Â Â average clarity
3 A Plus Topper  race lacks speed and yesterday's 20 ft out position on the grass course appeared speed favoring as the early speed flew and still held extremely well considering the suicidal pace
4 Blue Jat Attack last was decent and race 2 back was stellar....closer would have been top pick if it wasn't for the lack of speed and a possible speed biased sprint turf course
2 Danzig Tribal  last route to sprint was a strong race.....that's the scenario here
1 He's A Dance Star  very impressive win in solid Fpx time in his MSW debut.....barn is good 1st time on the grass
Â
race 8Â Â Â above average clarity
9 Take A Hard Look  laid of MSW drop down is training like a much superior animal...Baffert has a barn full of young horses and this baby has only 3 starts in 14 months so why not dropÂ
1,1a  Entry  the 1a maybe a declining horse maybe but all 3 lifetime races are big figs bad trip affairs.....clean trip and he has a shot....the 1 horse also has some ability...not a bad toss in
6 Roaring Rick  new improved barn and training like a much improved animal...long layoff but sure looks ready
8 Warrens Extrabonus  same scenario as above...also showed substantial early pace in his long ago last
4 Big Bad Boo  consistent sort could use his race 4 back Â
