Hollywood for Friday 29 April 2011
Can't remember the last time all the races came up the same "clarity" as they have this evening. Sure like that our top pick (none of which is the morning line favorite) are all being ridden by jockeys who are riding well right now.
race 1Â Â Â average clarity
3Â Tonzatrouble red hot rider trainer combo......little shot in last with a bad trip....adjusted for trouble he was about 2 lengths better then the favorite no. 4......proven on the Hol surface
5 Cat In The Forest very dangerous speed here and a trainer/rider team that excel with speed sprint types...they won as a team yesterday jump starting T C Baze's return to race riding after a grueling rehab
race 2Â Â Â average clarity
5Â Free Beer improving sort and a solid recent 5F drill strongly hints the trend continues this evening...should be prominent from the get go
3Â Anga woke up quite a bit in last with the blinkers removed......last win came on the Hollywood synthetic at today's distance...should be motoring late
7Â Boulder Creek solid move forward in latest which was on the grass...might feel real good coming off a race on the sod as opposed to the wear and tear of the SA dirt
race 3Â Â Â average clarity
6Â Megaride very wide trip in latest off of the 2 month layoff....nice forward move in 2nd lifetime start with 3 weeks rest.....3 weeks rest again...highly likely to move forward
3 Dancing Joy good 1st at a route in last dueling with respectable pace and holding on for 2nd......major contender if he builds off of the effort
1Â Malaga Cove believe his 5 furlong debut was nothing more then part of a tightly spaced prolong series of works as to be wound up and ready 1st at a route....bred to handle distance racing not 5F sprints
7Â Cherryzapper shot to be loose in this spot......trainer is good 1st time long....he is also dangerous when he takes the blinkers off
race 4Â Â Â average clarity
5Â Bet On Victor needed last and owns a good history 2nd out after layoffs....fits Bejarano well who owns both of this geldings alw wins
4Â Kelly Leak in good current form and already won this condition (albeit on the turf) 2 races back...proven on the Hol synthetic surface
2Â El Martillo seems better on the conventional dirt then the AW but fits 7F well while most of the others in here don't...lone AW win in 9 runs on it was at Hol
race 5Â Â Â average clarity
4 Romeo Royale sprint tune-up and then to a route worked well last Summer and that is the same scenario for tonight....blinkers on and the recent works suggest this gelding has improved with them on
9Â Making Papa Proud last looks like a sprint grass tune-up to be full throttle today in a grass route which he is well bred for...hot hot rider/trainer combo...gelding can live up to his name
3Â Checkmark like a broken record....same scenario...sprint layoff turf run...full go at a turf route tonight
6Â Cat Talk on the right end of the learning curve and the trainer has been awakening
race 6Â Â Â average clarity
3Â Alaska Miss well proven fresh and and the drills showing suggest this filly is all set to roll fresh legged once again
8Â Lift Our Luck done little wrong in 3 lifetime sprint races on the main track 2 of which were on the Hollywood synthetic
6Â Spool's Gold hasn't been seen since graduated in 2nd lifetime start way back in Oct 2009....but....training like a sound well conditioned horse who has trained sufficiently well to be considered ready to roll fresh
2Â Magic Mama bit short on numbers but may move forward 2nd after the layoff and will most likely put in a good finish when many in here won't
race 7Â Â Â average clarity
6Â Gab Power 1 for 1 with the blinkers off and lone grass race run at Hol is quite strong versus better
5Â Kim's Leading Man has gotten very sharp seemingly out of nowhere and continues to train as if she has been kept on edge
1Â Tribal Nation consistent late runner is better then his record indicates because he has had a lack of early pace to close into in many of his races...should get pace today
4Â Sir Bell needed last and this late runner seems to be in a group that should lay out some good fractions and help his cause....should be a big price
race 8Â Â Â average clarity
2Â Chk Chk Boom liked the Hollywood surface last Spring....ran well in maiden debut so I believe (with good drills in support) this Miller charge is all set fresh off a 3/4 year hiatus
1Â Love The Lioness broke slow and checked hard and then looked like a race horse from there......blinkers on for 2nd lifetime run.....good trip and a small forward move and she will be formidable
7Â Right On Renee 1st timer is training up to snuff especially considering this is the bottom maiden claiming level
8Â Promiscuoussuances Vienna is very dangerous with mc 1sters...rather solid works for Vienna in that he seldom pushes his stock hard
14Â Early Evening 5 year old 1st timer is training well....long wait to get to the track so why not start at the bottom mc level
