FAIRPLEX DATES THAT THE RACING DIGEST WILL BE AVAILABLE
Opening day at Fairplex Friday, September 9th and Derby day at Fairplex, Saturday  September 24th will be available. Most likely there will be another card covered which I'll announce at a later date.Â
Â
race 1Â Â Â Â average clarity
7 Dish The Dirt   appreciates ample time between starts and gets it....aggressive work tab for a hot trainer......powerful effort/fig in last
1 She's Very Rare  2 for 2 at 7 at today's distance......tight interval training for a laid up low level Mitchell claimer has "ready" written all over it
6 Capalatte  a good 7F effort in last and 2 decent 5F drills since indicate a healthy filly thus the step up a small notch in claiming price....needs a small move forward and we may get it
3  Forty Dates  ultra consistent sprinter but she needs to show more staying power when she goes 7F if she wants to win this affair
Longshot possibilities: 5 Guided Wave  seems to be on a possible rebound......races in late Spring out of town fit well versus these Â
race 2Â Â Â slightly above average clarity
1 Yankee Go South  best proven turf speed in the race and an exceptionally quick horse exiting from the gate.....I'll take that in a 5F affair
2 Quick Enough  greatly diminished abilities but a solid 3F drill hints of a rebound
8 Palio Prince  good history when this gelding gets a nice outside stalk position and he has a shot to find himself in that position today
7 Quietly Mine  both Dmr 5F races are good.....will be closing late
race 3Â Â Â slightly above average clarity
6 Field Report  broke a little tardy and ran a little wide in a good MSW debut....works since hint we will see even more today
2 Madeoftherightstuff  3rd new trainer in only 4 starts....what's with that?? lone race on the AW fits fine.....wide trip and still closed fast for a near victory
1 Lord's Minister  nicely bred Calbred has a good work tab and finished with 3 6F works....good foundation for debut....capable N Cal conditioner
5 Mint Humor  cut back of 1/2 furlong might help this gelding stick around to the end as he has been fading late at 6F
race 4Â Â Â average clarity
1 L. A. Weekend   1 for 1 on the grass and it was at today's distance......sharp bullet 4F drill one week ago....maybe OK off the pace if need be....tough to tell as he has led in all 3 of his lifetime starts
2 Supercarls Remedy  laid up but owns a good work tab.....fast and only 5 furlongs to last with P Val up
7 Al Instante  why this import has taken three starts to run on th turf I can't figure out because he won his last 6 grass sprints in a row overseas and hasn't run a lick on the main track
5 Get Funky  old timer is fresh and has a shot to sit behind the speed and close late
race 5Â Â Â average clarity
9 Bee Eff Eff   lone lifetime start which was run last December was an extremely strong effort at GG.....training great for her layoff run and she is now in the reliable hands of Mike Puype
2 The Road Diva  very good work tab for Troeger who isn't too bad with young horses with zero racing experience
7 Raven Wild  working well enough to be considered a factor in her MSW debut.....last two drills hint she is sharpening when it counts the most.......game time
3 Evasive Charmer  seemed to respond to being taken back off the pace and closing instead of being put on the pace and flattening......Quinonez remains up which tells me will get the better of the 2 scenarios
race 6Â Â Â slightly below average clarity
1 First Settler  nice marathon run versus the boys in last and a much more aggressive work regiment since with the blinkers on suggests we will see even more today
3 Mutually Benefit  definitely on the correct end of the learning curve.....needs ample time between races and Proctor shows patience and gives it to her
9 Farley Star  must have come out of her mile turf win in great shape because Mitchell brings her back in 8 days......bred to run all day long.....might be very sharp for this 1 3/8 mile affair
8 Private Affair  ultra consistent marathoner overseas and her last (2nd place) run in Argentina she faced quite a bit better then these.....but.......Cardenas needs to start showing he can get the job done with these horse's from PER and CHI
race 7Â Â Â average clarity
9 Spicy Beau  big awakening in 2nd lifetime start with the addition of blinkers.....Sherman barn is a bit overdo and might get the mojo jump started here.....Flores could use a little jolt as well
6 Depth  6 1/2 furlongs should help this gelding get there when it counts when many in here will be flattening
12 Totally True  good meeting for Tim Yakteen and this 1st timer looks ready to roll for his debut into the wonderful world of thoroughbred racing....love the gate then gate then blowout to finish his work preparation
4 Red Dwarf  solid layoff run in last but Puype wasn't quite satisfied with things because he adds blinkers for today.....that hints that we may see even more horse today
3 My T Quick   very impressive 2+ year layoff run in last with an awkward start and a very wide trip and only lost by 5 1/4.....4 works since.......forward move seems rather logical
7 Sanibel Sid   had good works before his debut last and didn't run too well.....Ellis claimed and had him gelded.......deserves another shot to show those morning works weren't a flukeÂ
