Hollywood for Thursday 15 December 2011
Decent looking card today. Chalk city yesterday, but at least we had the highest prices of the day yesterday ($11.60 & $17.60) as our 1st and 2nd selections. Overall our top pick won 5 races and our 2nd pick won the other 3 races.

race 1 average clarity
5 Tripped The Light had a wide trip in a very fast heat at a higher level........2 and 4 both will most likely go hard for the lead setting things up nicely for this mare
4 Roman Chic so far only a lead type only....will shoot to clear and wire
3 L'Enchanteresse trainer is 6 for his last 30 back in 5 days or less......filly seems best long on the AW....but......what a hanger
race 2 slightly above average clarity
5 Duplio Rapido wide trip in last off of the long hiatus from the track......not much backing at the windows for an Ellis runner so probably needed the start and more can be expected today
3 Jim's Decision not much in last but run 2 back would crush these....takes the plunge out of MSW races
4 G Ten very rare for Shirreffs to have a maiden claiming 1ster.......works are decent.......lots of foundation in work regiment....rather sure will finish well
race 3 average clarity
2 Annalili trainer is 6 for last 16 1st time blinkers and the bullet 3/8ths gate drill one week ago screams that this fillies 2nd lifetime start will be a vastly improved effort
1 Warren's Goldie solid move forward in 2nd lifetime start and it is somewhat hidden......Bejarano sure has been winning his fair sure of maiden claimers especially with late runners
6 Babyneedsnewshoes works for this 1ster sure seem good enough in this spot to be considered dangerous
3 Ralphy Girl another working up to snuff to be ready in her maiden debut......bred to be quick early
race 4 slightly above average clarity
5 Liberal Arts well placed to win.....repeat of last or even close to the effort has a good shot at winning this affair....few reasons not to believe a repeat effort can't occur
1 Marvin's Magic trainer has done better then his record at Hollywood would indicate......wide trip in last hides a good forward move.......drops to lowest level ever.....
3 Classy Lion seems to be waking up a lttle and it appears that taking back off the pace has been the catalyst......will need a solid forward move....maybe the short-rest can help.....it has in the past
race 5 average clarity
2 Full Instainct new trainer has this laid up colt training sharply for the 1st start under his tudeledge.......decent grass breeding.....only race with the blinkers on is a strong fig albeit on the AW
3 Global Domination 3 consecutive better then par efforts 2 of which were on the Hol sprint turf course.....continues to train well.......gets a good sprint turf jockey in Joe Talamo
7 Mary Helen's Storm trainers 1st timers usually fire when he shows strong drills and these works are impressive.........turf pedigree is good enough
1 Rock Off competitive in all 3 Hollywood turf sprints.......this colt had to cope with the 10 post in the last 2 of those 3 sod affairs and still managed to run 3rd......way better post today
race 6 average clarity
1 Uncle Sam very much the best speed in this race and appears to be a very ratable sort......that's a deadly combination
2 Bonfire Knight tossed a clunker in last but new conditioner today and a strong bullet drill with the addition of blinkers (speculating the work was with the blinkers on)........fits well with a rebound
3 Dynamic Host very consistent sort on the AW likes to run from far back so his connections will be hoping for more pace up front than anticipated
race 7 average clarity
1 Three Cuties horrendous trip in only grass race......earned a decent adjusted for trouble fig......new jock and a better post to smooth things out and get the job done
2 Siempre Esperanza only turf engagement with the blinkers on was a par like effort.....it was at a route and this filly seemingly prefers to sprint
5 Gladiatrix proven fresh runner is 1st time Mitchell.....he claimed her way back in March and had to lay her up.......works suggest she is ready for her 1st ever on the lawn....she owns adequet turf breding
race 8 average clarity
1 Tropiluk improving sort has the support of a red hot trainer rider combo in Hollendorfer/Rosario
3 Finegan Again was on the improve and then Sherlock added the blinkers which seemed perplexing for an animal moving forward.....they are off today
8 Mr. Padre poor trip-a-roos in both lifetime races and now takes that ever significant drop from MSW racing......trainer is having a good Hol meeting with his limited number of starters
2 Outperform 1ster is working well enough to possibly be dangerous in his debut into the wonderful world of thoroughbred racing
6 Belle's Big Boy not the best trainers with mc 1sters but the drills aren't bad and Bejarano sees fit to accept the mount
7 Pop The Cork poor start in last compromised this O'Neill charge in that he sat too far off a lackluster pace.....will need to move forward to lifetime best today and maybe a clean start can help
