race 1Â Â Â average clarity
2 Red Sharp Humor  has been facing some stout competition......faces softer today....had a nice sprint tune-up.......good trip and the same horse and he'll be tough
7 The Flying Whizzer  needed last especially considering it turned out to be a key group........drops into claiming for the 1st time and gets a jock upgrade...trainer is usually tough 1st time in claiming
5 Bronster  difficult call to decipher if this 4 year old is ready off of an 8 week layoff with modest works but Bejarano accepts the mount and he fits well if he is ready fresh
4 Wild Revenge  last looks like the sprint turf tune-up to come back quick and be fit and ready for today's turf route run
race 2Â Â Â below average clarity
6 Givimaway  SCRATCHED good looking work tab for this Mandella 1st timer.......significant homebred in that the same folks produced an impressive maiden claiming debut winner in the past with MandellaÂ
2 Mavericks Gun  SCRATCHED  very solid drills for this 1ster and mom has tossed 8 winners from 8 starters 2 of which were Stakes winners....Koriner/Talamo have teamed up for many solid races from maiden 1st timers since Joe arrived on the S Cal scene
5 Midnight Con  in decent form and now the blinkers go back on.......last time this gelding ran with blinks was back in Sept and it was a strong somewhat hidden effort
race 3Â Â Â average clarity
8 Risky Reward   SCRATCHED  left the gate in MSW sprint turf debut very poorly and then showed he is a nice turf runner from there.......bred fine to get the mile on the sod....will need a clever ride from the outer-most 8 post....good chance to be a risky reward if we get the trip
1 Teraad  has 2 decent route races under his belt which is a big plus....1st on the lawn but is bred just fine to handle it
2 Dylan Donnelly  exits a slow heat of MSW runners on the dirt but was caught a bit wide dueling thru-out.....1st on grass....but his pedigree fits a switch to the green stuff
7 Candy's Sunrise  SCRATCHED  bombed in last on the main track.....back to the sod where he was impressive in his debut.....owns good early speed and gets the hot appr. up.......shot to wire
race 4Â Â Â average clarity
6 Hadfunlastnight  speed of the speed in this affair and Pedroza is up.....a solid combination
1 D'wildbunch  very consistent in all 5 races with the blinkers off......also handles 4 to 6 weeks rest well..........6 weeks off today....late runner should receive an honest pace up fr0nt
4 Jack O Lyn  somewhat of a suspect drop but formidable if his health is still reasonably intact
race 5Â Â Â average clarity
5 Oak Kye Why  big early speed in this spot and a jock upgrade especially when it comes to handling a speed horse
8 El Vino  best turf race of his career was his lone race on the majestic and unique SA hill turf course......laid up since June but is well proven fresh
7 Mr. Bossy Pants  been forced up the claiming ladder somewhat because of back to back claims but this 6 year old gelding still fits if his new trainer keeps him in the same form as his last race
4 Warning Song  quality alw runner takes a somewhat suspect drop even for Mitchell and he owns a sketchy work tab....but he fits as well as anyone in this group if  he still is feeling fine
race 6Â Â Â average clarity
3 Dress Code  13 of 18 on the board on fast track conventional dirt......turf fit....cut back in distance is a plus......drops.....good rider/trainer combo
4 Miles Heir  crushed a weak bunch in last....claimed by a hot trainer....weight off with app up.....all should make this horse fit well enough at double the claiming price
1 Wegner  seems placed well to win after 2 consecutive decent races in non-claiming affairs at Tup....trainer could use a winner to jump start his his icy barn
race 7Â Â Â average clarity
5 Sean S  2 for 2 since Joshua Litt claimed.......rider/trainer have won 3 of their last 4 as a team.....continues to train like a happy healthy horse
3 Miss Becca  done nothing wrong in 5 lifetime races......ran solid effort/fig in only SA hill run....Bejarano knows this consistent mare well having ridden her in all but 1 of her races
6 Bodie Girl  laid up since early October but has fired fresh in the past......Talamo is back aboard and he has been a good fit for this filly in the past
4 California Heat  deep closer finally gets to try the SA hill turf course.....many of these late running Unusual Heat runners appreciate the unique SA sprint turf configuration
NOTE: 11 Mona Storm and/or 12 Arrivederci Caro both have shots if they draw into the field from the Also Eligibles
race 8Â Â Â average clarity
2 Mon Coeur  pretty good deal when you claim a horse who ran well enough to break his maiden only to be DQ'd......and his new trainer wins 1st out after a claim at a very high rate
4 Run Charlie Run  just keeps getting better and better and better and...........
1 Burr Tango  mc debut last sure seems like a tune-up to tighten up and be much fitter and ready for his 2nd lifetime run....history for his trainer with 2nd time starters is stout
8 Symphonic Cat  takes that ever dangerous drop from MSW racing to low level maiden claiming....would have rated higher if his drills weren't so dull for a trainer like Headley
9 Bespoke Suit 47 to 1 for a O'Neill 1ster says the race was needed and much more can be expected today
5 Always The Same  big wake up in last....race fits but only has worked once since in 5 weeks....tough call
