race 1Â Â Â slightly below average clarity
1 Indy Beauty  gimme / drop and go go go.......Giker runners are showing more the 2nd time out over the track.....back to back days with the highest shot scoring in the opener?......could it be?
4 Queenie Marini diminishing in form sort fell off in form some once again last......doubt rebounds much but the extra 1/2 furlong today looks like a good thing
6 Mo Cheese  solid efforts/figs in last 2 races.....but must overcome a slight tendency to hang and a somewhat cold rider
race 2Â Â Â average clarity
3 Laura's Pleasure  good move forward in 2nd out after long layoff.....one more improvement and she is the one to beat here....encouraging recent work and 5 pounds off hint she can move forward
6 Warren's Goldie  showed she can handle the sod in last in a turf route race.....cut back in distance.....good series of drills....and Bejarano sticks around......shot for lifetime best today
2 Blue Samurai  consistent sort and an impressive stretch run in last....but definitely likes to hang.....best shot is to try and clear which she might be able to do in this spot void of much early speed
race 3Â Â Â average clarity
3 Palio Prince  just claimed by Spawr who does well with dirt sprinters....and a jock upgrade to the top gun so far at the SA meet
4 First Strike  awfully nice horse to put up for a tag but the trainer sure could use a win....distance is a good fit and it might not be for many in this field
2 E Z Lead  2 wins and a 3rd in 3 races on conventional dirt surfaces....like our top pick 7F looks like a good thing
race 4Â Â Â average clarity
3 Freckles Galore  competitive sort just worked a much improved and impressive 6F....and Bejarano sticks around....believe poised for lifetime best today
6 Call Me Lucky  was on the improve until she tried the lawn in last.....back to the dirt.....fits if she manages another move in the right direction back on the dirt
1 Ricspretentiousgal  another improving sort that surely can keep the trend intact today
race 5Â Â Â slightly below average clarity
7 So She Dreams  long overdo drop and not exactly a significant one......does best with 6 to 8 weeks between starts and that is today's rest scenario....lone race when Bejarano rode is quite good and he is aboard today
5 Valeria  another who finally drops out of MSW racing....should be motoring late when others are tiring...runs awfully even but this looks like a race that will lack punch at the wire
2 Fast Moka Too  good shot to be loose here......needs more stamina......might get it with less weight and a better jock up for today
1 Dynamic Diva not much on the main track but might wake up on the grass......very well bred to handle the green stuff
race 6Â Â Â average clarity
1 Give My Regards  best drill I can ever remember for any Yakteen runner little lone a 1st timer.......bred a sprint race very nicely
6 Magical Blend  bad trip-a-roo in MSW debut......broke bad and then rushed some into a solid 1/2 half......and so tired......trainer is much better with 2nd timers
2 Bronze Beauty  most usual for Shirreffs to finish off with 3 straight gate works for a 1st timer....that hints this one is well meant in his MSW debut
3 Ghost Of A Chance  27 to 1 in MSW debut strongly suggests the race was very needed and we will see more today.....and more looks like it will sure fit here unless one of the 1sters pops a big number
race 7Â Â Â average clarity
3 Clubhouse Rules  very good history in sprint affairs including his 1st ever on the SA hill in latest......was every bit as good as today's morning line favorite in that race and sure has trained stoutly since
4 Obviously  solid 1st in the USA run in last and a solid 6F work since.......would have been top pick if Bejanro remained aboard....Blanc is fine but he is not Mr. Bejarano
5 Romeo Royale  last sure looked like a work out.....strong works since.....no work out today
6 Luckarack  consistent sort just got snatched at the claiming box by West (for 62.5K) who is looking for his 1st win at the meet.......some shot to get it here
race 8Â Â Â above average clarity
3 Contested  powerful win at 2 breaking the 1:09 barrier in Oct.......fabulous work tab says this Baffert runner should return at full throttle and be mighty tough in this spot
5 Dypsy  done very little wrong in 5 lifetime starts........training nicely since her last start which was on the sod....might have muscled her up some as only grass can do sometimes
1 Hidden Romance  first in the USA run in last wouldn't be good enough here but the filly did well with short rest in GB and 23 days off surely qualifies as a short rest interval for today
race 9Â Â Â above average clarity
2 Dylan Donnelly  on the improve with every start and back in 8 days....and now a switch to Rosario who has made for a very good team with Mitchell this meeting....should be tough today
6 Johnny's Choice  another on the right end of the learning curve.....and the last two works are ultra impressive even by Headley standards
3 The Unusual One  new trainer takes over this laid up runner......not sure if he returns ready but he owns some solid back numbers and is capable of strong early pace....dangerous
7 Flying Jib  not impossible to hit the winners circle but probably running for a smaller piece of the pie
9 Gurnick  piece of the pie only
1 All The Victors   piece of the pie only
