Los Alamitos for Saturday 20 September 2014
Feel rather good about the race card and Los Alamitos in general. We likely will cover all the days at the track in 2015 although that is not guaranteed as of yet.
Best of luck as always!
race 1 Â Â average clarity
1  Harlington Night  solid wake up and it was his 1st on the Lrc surface........deservedly steps up a couple of notches......same distance.......same jock
5  Red N Balck Attack   trainer is hot.......three year old gelding drops 2nd out after O'Neill claim below where the conditioner took him for.....too tough in last.......should fit today
9  Fly Blue  last three races run on the GG AW fit well here........has handled conventional dirt in the past quite well......very solid record at today's distance
4 Â Counting Days
Â
race 2 Â Â average clarity
6  Senor Rain  very consistent on conventional dirt......1 for 1 at Lrc and it was at today's 7F distance where he owns a record of (3 2 1 0)
2  Stormin Lute  like our top choice he handles the somewhat specialty distance of 7F......and might own the best early speed in the field........1 for 1 on conventional dirt
3  Ezio  ultra consistent sort faced too tough in last.......fits well versus softer here
7 Â City Chapel
Â
race 3 Â Â average clarity
3  Whoodoo Pirate  has only tossed one clunker in 7 lifetime starts.......capable of rating and 1/2 of the field might not be........(3 1 2 0) at today's 5 1/2F distance
6  Natal  wide trip in last compromised her chances......... jock upgrade to Bejarano.........solid rider/trainer combo of late
1  Swissarella  best at 5 1/2 furlongs or less.......and just fired her best ever past 5 1/2 in a 6 1/2F race........so.........cut back to 5 1/2F might lead to very strong race todayÂ
race 4 Â Â slightly above average clarity
3  Wedding Blush   filly is 2 for 3 lifetime and her last was a par like effort for today's level.......retains Bejarano........jock/trainer have won 3 of their last 6 as a team
2  Stealth Drone  best early speed in here if she handles her 1st ever on "real dirt"........dangerous speed type
4  Do The Danse  clunker in latest........trouble if rebounds........her work regiment put in at GG hints that Hollendorfer will get one out of her
Â
race 5 Â Â average clarity
5  Roper  both lifetime races are bad trip runs that indicate this Belvoir runner can be a ton if he settles down.....switch to Mr Bejarano to get that accomplished
9  Temple Keys  Proctor 1st timer has put in enough furlongs of work to be ready to roll in his MSW debut......very strong 6F work on 4 September........trainer has been firing at the Lrc meet so far (4 2 1 1)
2  Smooven Square  so so effort in lone lifetime race back in mid May.........off since but blinkers on and training sharply at Bsr......more seems likely this afternoon
6 Â Kluszewski
Â
race 6 Â Â average clarity
6  Prettypriceygirl   filly is in decent form on the turf and appreciates conventional dirt.....and the trainer is quite dangerous turf to dirt
3  Melanistic  very good history on "real dirt" and 1 win and 1 second in 2 starts at Lrc both at today's level......that'll do
1  Room For Me  best on conventional dirt and last win (and by 3 1/2L) came turf to dirt......that is today's scenario for this Avila runner
4 Â Tanquerray
Â
race 7 Â Â average clarity
6 My Sweet Addiction  needs to be fully ready as a race really beats her up and she needs months off to recover.......3 of her 4 lifetime races sure are stout here
2 Home Journey  seemingly best early gas here and with only 5 1/2 furlongs to stick around
3 Popalicious  fairly consistent sort runs 1st out following the Truman claim.......might be better on conventional dirt and her two efforts on the Dmr AW aren't too shabby
4Â Suddenly Sunday
Â
race 8   average clarity
3 Spirit Rules  lone race at Lrc is very strong and is disguised by running a solid pace on a dull rail at one mile.....race 3 back sprinting on the SA dirt is good as well....should come flying late
5 Distinctive Passion  speed of the speed here gets 1st time Bejarano.....danger city
1 Regally Soul  2-5-6 all bang heads early and this late runner stepping up in class comes motoring late
Â
race 9 Â Â average clarity
9 Rainbow North last of the AW would take this if he can fire the same in his 1st ever on the conventional dirt
6 Uncle Luck  scenario is: SA dirt debut fits quite well.....hurt some in 2nd start.......didn't care for AW in 3rd start.......didn't like route in 4th start.......back sprinting on the "dirt" today
1 Pioneer Charlie  best ever and a race that would surely be tough here is his debut on the dirt at FG.......9 weeks fresh today and training well.....and back on the conventional dirt
