7  Mapping  nice maiden breaking win in last........wide trip and still scored........nice reassuring 5F work at Slr .........well placed to win........handled 99 degree heat in his last........blistering hot forecast for today
1  Brazilian Court   downward spiral for this Hess colt but Bejarano accepts the mount so I imagine he still has an adequate race or two left in him.....sure fits if he does
5  Caramuru  no shot whatsoever in his last........dueled in a brutal pace and was on a somewhat dull rail..........solid 4F breeze since...........also ran on the same 99 degree day at Lrc as our top choice

Long-shot consideration:  9  Take a Risk  best on the SA surface and his recent work regiment and significant step up in claiming hint he greatly welcomes a return to it's surface

2  Shackleford Banks  nice wake up 1st time at a route of ground in last........the race run in early March fits and the way in which he is working suggests more will occur this afternoon.......must have a hole dropping to the bottom level maiden claiming but likely has a race or two in him before real trouble sets inÂ
4  Vavoom  last his 1st at a route fits well.........solid work regiment since.......same or more seems to be in the cards today for this Yakteen four year old gelding
10  Money Fan  impressive 2nd place route race in latest despite a wide trip............9 post in last and 10 post today.......Pedroza needs a more clever trip........longer run to the turn in this 1 1/16th affair can help his chances of getting on overÂ

8  Champion Risk  race 2 back is quite strong for this spot.........training awfully well for Yakteen........claimed 2 races back and I believe she is about to return some major dividends today
3  Racing for Chasen  done little wrong in 3 sprints on the AW for Barry Abrams and company........and she is training as if the conventional dirt will be a good thing
7  Love the Kids  fired a nice winning effort in her debut last off of dull works.......still working slowly but of no concern this time around...........small move forward with the race under her belt..........and ..........she will fit fine

5  Smart Journey   most turf credentials in the race and if there isn't much early speed from the new shooters in here she sure looks in control early and in control with Bejarano aboard
3  Rule the Field  mega rider upgrade......last is better than appears in print......1st on the grass and 1st at a route but bred rather well to handle both
2  Scamalot  away since 15 Dec. 13 but sure is training as if he is ready to roll fresh off of the bench.........ran well fresh in lifetime debut and the effort is disguised by about 8L of trip trouble...........1st on the grass is a ? mark

5  Eltoninadress  very consistent in a race that lacks consistency.........and has never missed the board in 10 starts on the SA dirt
3  Oscillator  not what she used to be but fits very well if here if she can repeat her latest.........50/50 proposition that she will
11  Versye  on a rebound of sorts and fits fine if the trend continues this afternoon

6  Dallas Skyline  impressive in both lifetime races...........both of which were on the grass races and at today's 1 mile distance......and the drills since his last strongly suggest he is poised for his best ever today
4  Luck of the Kitten  Wesley Ward invader has done little wrong in 3 lifetime starts all on the grass.......and her lone win and best ever was the only time she ran at today's 1 mile distance.........Ky invader should be tough
1  Rowdy Dylan  acted up very badly in latest and predictably didn't run her best.........big effort and significant forward move in 2nd lifetime race........so......... 2nd out after the layoff might produce a powerful run here if she takes to the sod.......bred pretty well for it

9  Classy Ava  consistent filly seems best on conventional dirt and on at six furlongs........gets both this afternoon.........Talamo knows her well as he has been aboard for all of her races
5  Rovenna  4 for 5 on conventional dirt.........0 for 7 on other surfaces........gets the "real" thing today........reassuring improved 6F work exactly one week ago..........rebound cityÂ
7  Sweet Profit  best at SA and the recent vastly better work regiment on it's surface hint that she is happy to be back on it........another with a big potential at rebounding today

5  Her Emmynency  very talented on the AW at Del Mar.........1st on the grass and 1st at a route but owns a pedigree that should handle both.......and she worked great on the sod with the dogs up..........good Midwest turf trainer over the years in Michael Stidham
6  She's Complete  two year old filly has done little wrong in 4 lifetime starts........won a $100K turf Stakes in her latest and has a shot to snatch another here
1  Into Oblivion  two consecutive solid efforts to start her career.......gives the turf a try in start no. 3 with an average at best pedigree for it........decent post to save some ground into turn one for Mike Smith who has had a good year riding on turf in 2014

Long-shot consideration:  2  Devil's Beauty  stalked a fast quarter in not the best of position and still managed to graduate at 1st asking in a 5 1/2F affair at Dmr......steps way up here but sure is bred to handle the grass and the distance.......stranger upsets have happened
race 9 Â Â average clarity
12  Flexible  decent debut for this Hollendorfer runner and the recent two works at SA hint more will occur today (especially the 6F drill just 5 days ago)........and Bejarano wisely sticks with the youngster
9  Conquest Dreamin  expensive June purchase for a Cal-bred sure seems meant and ready to compete for the top prize for Casse and company who wins his fair share with 1st time starters
8  Hot Lightning   last sure appears an over his head tune-up to tighten up and be at full throttle in his 2nd lifetime race......recent 5/8ths drill supports the notion the race did as intended
