race 1    average clarity

6  Timeless Indy   bug boy struggles somewhat but not on this five-year old gelding......small drop in claiming......and........five year old has some speed in a race that lacks it outside of the one horse ..........Periban has had a solid meeting 

5  Trelawny   trainer is quite dangerous when he drops multiple claiming levels which is the case here.......old timer has won on the conventional dirt once in three races on it

4  Warren's Rail Bird   decent run considering the 15 month hiatus.......sharp 5F work at Slr since....move forward seems likely

 

race 2    average clarity

6  Selection   solid move forward 1st time with the blinkers in last.....and it is somewhat disguised by a wide trip and sitting too far off of a lackluster pace.......top jock will be out to make amends

1  King of Jazz   on the improve with every start and that is hidden to som extent......only non-three year old in the field and he happens to be five

7  Paythebank   sat close to a hot pace 2 back at today's same one mile turf distance and still finished up well to nearly graduate.......rider is 5 for his last 8 for the trainer

4  Action Hero   last his 1st on the sod was decent....and today with get a rider upgrade......not at all impossible

 

race 3    average clarity

4  Miss Gridley   3 best works showing are her 3 gate works.......and they are rather solid......gate works hint she can run with others and be competitive......just bought at sale in March so Miller and company pretty much knew what they were paying for

1  Sambamzajammin   another just bought in March and for $10K more than our top pick.....two year old filly finished up her work series at SA with two impressive drills after having trained at Dxd.....mom has tossed 4 winners from 5 starters all of which preciously won at two

8  Decked Out   brothers have been cold as a team but they might jump-start things here with this two-year old filly sharpening up for her MSW debut with two nice gate drills

3  Mint Julep Taffy   works fit for this 1ster.......not sure Scott Stevens does versus the SA jockey colony

 

race 4    above average clarity

2  Havanna Belle   D'Amato is very dangerous with 1st time blinkers which is the case here for this promising filly who exits a key race where 2nd won a Grade 2 and 6th ran 3rd in a Grade 3 in their next outs.......that'll do 

6  Lookin for Money   owns good speed in this spot void of the commodity.....Doug O'Neill has patiently waited for this three-year old filly nw alw race......so.....you know the crafty trainer will in all likelihood have her primed and ready for today's race

7  Miss Double d'Oro   par like effort for today's higher level in a sprint down the hill to graduate in her last..........1st at a route but bred exceptionally well to handle one

1  Show Stealer   deep closer is improving but likely needs a significant move forward here to score the top prize

 

race 5   below average clarity

8  Hard Night's Day   moved forward some 2nd out after the long layoff in last........two very sharp 4F works since....hint that a necessary move in the desired direction can occur this afternoon....to what degree seems to be the ? mark

9  Conquest Curlgirl   good MSW sprint debut..........and owns a stellar pedigree to appreciate a route race.......might own enough early gas to clear most of the field from her outer-most post.......very tough if she does

2  Sweet Promises   dull works prior to her 2nd lifetime start which wasa disappointing 4th as favorite.......good works since.......rebound to her debut effort is a possibility 

5  Mahee   Kristin Mulhall is very dangerous sprint - sprint - route......and that is the scenario here for this three-year old filly

 

race 6    below average clarity

4  Jade With Envy   last win came the last time Bejarano rode and he is back aboard today......ran well versus better in latest.......sharper works of late......Baltas and company mean bizz back for the $25K they snatched this mare for and they best be "ready" as I imagine the claiming vultures will be lurking

5  Soresca   3 for 8 at the distance on the grass......0 for 6 at other distances on the grass.......good rider/trainer combo.......works since her latest are quite a bit better 

3  Prevaricator   Mullins historically is good 1st out following a claim..........and 1st time on the grass......and 1st time at a route.......you get all three here 

2  Miss Ellany   has tailed off but lookout if she rebounds as this six-year-old mare looks loose in this spot and when she is "right" she can be tough as nails loose on a lead

 

race 7    average clarity

3  Jeanna's Faith   very impressive winning MSW debut two back.....tossed a clunker in 2nd start.......rebound city today if her recent a.m. prowess is worth a hoot.....trainer is 3 for 10 in 2015

8  Time for Angie   no shot in latest placed over her head 1st out after the claim by Palma in last.........solid race two back and the recent very stout drills strongly suggest we will see the same effort this afternoon

4  Zulu Petals   seems best at 6F......6F today........only mount of the day for M Smith.....that is usually significant 

1  Made to Worship   lone race back in 2013 is solid and hidden by a bad trip.......training quite well for her return to the race wars

 

race 8    average clarity

9  Del Mar Dixie   sprint - sprint - route scenario here and her pedigree hints she should favor a route of ground.....and.....her last at 7F is decent......Mullins/Baze are showing signs of heating up some

5  Dixie Dame   obviously fits number wise and the conditioner has had a terrific year.........but.........not crazy about the additional 1/2 furlong as she blew a 2L lead late with a slow pace...... or .......I would have been top choice

7  Chicago Angel   seems capable if she can get the front end over our 2nd choice as she sure appears to be a need to lead type

8  Frannie'sspirittoo   liked her 2 turn race at 7F at Fairplex.......and has the pedigree to get a route.....might fly late 

3  Red Carrera   needs best ever and maybe a little more

1  Class Divine    needs a major league wake up 1st at a route
